The contrast between Larry's and Ian's take on the same gun is hilarious.
they both agree that its too heavy
I'll take a former Green Beret's assessment that has seen actual combat.
So far Larry has said nothing about the HK 53, so that's something to look forward to.
My bad, turns out LAV had already covered the HK53
ua-cam.com/video/pcGhhCysxEU/v-deo.html
{BoomBoomLou} Larry never saw combat specifically with that rifle, so his assessment is just as valid as Ian's.
Those burst/full auto demonstrations at the end were pretty impressive on your part Larry!
*Vickers Tactical* Thank-you sir for taking the time to show us this sweet rifle. God Bless brother.
The irony of saying the weapon had issues and then watching it flawlessly burn magazine after magazine without issue.
Pple can say whatever they want but I don't know a brand that does better than hk, I mean it looks like a super mp5 damn!
@@alialaraji8081 totally agree
We all issues 🥲
Tbh honest, I’d pick this over an AR15, but it was previously mentioned that it’s heavier.
It almost has a stove pipe jam at 5:08 but thats not an issue that couldn't have been worked out
Thank you very much for this video, larry
Clears some things up less complicated than when i saw the G33 video from Ian.
I gotta say: being subscribed to both of these channels really satisfies me.
I like that you made a touch onto the operating system and also mentioned the scaling problems that showed up involving the conversation to 5,56×45
Have a nice one and stay safe, larry!
Thanks!
I only seen this gun in service with the Argentinian Air Force Special Forces, they used it with I think it was an AG36 grenade launcher, pretty rare gun.
Most likely was the HK33 , which argentina adopted partially ( as it does with all their main - many - assault rifles )
@@pdalia look closely at images on the internet, they used this and the hk33, you can identify the G41 by the carrying handle and the use of stanag magazines
Zach cash psa? You mean ptr maybe
USAGreenBeret I will thanks , yes I’m familiar with , I ve shot a few times with the HK33 back in the 90’s and other HK systems . Cheers
Arthur Johnson can’t return something that never belonged to them
I used G3 in my military life. it's an incredibly powerful rifle. G3 and I love all their versions...
Me too was my service rifle
@hellenic patriot if you are still in service does the Greek army plan to replace the g3? If so what would your ideal gun be for that role?
Sincerely
@@LinusIslamTips iam retired since 2 years ago
@@LinusIslamTips greek army is planning to buy 10.000 new rifles i don't know the model and the carthidge and 10.000 more upgraded G3s
@hellenic patriot sounds pretty reasonable. Better upgrade the bulk than throw away what's working. 👍
Looks like an awesome weapon to me despite the up front explanation of the negative perceptions of others from decades ago.
Couldn’t help but smirk when he knocked down that steel target 👊🏼
Keep the HK videos coming. Love them
Appears that the brass had some trouble clearing the ejection port. Ejection was pretty inconsistent.
Agreed. I wonder when the last time it was serviced?
That's why it wasn't really adopted...Check out Forgotten Weapons, they have a video on this rifle too.
maybe it would be better if the forward assist had a different angle at the ejection port so the brass could be ejected further from it and in a particular direction
Looks like it would work better if it was slanted backward a bit more, like an M16 deflector
@kev french .....The SA-80 was a rifle that, well as a Brit it makes me sad.
Kind of a rough looking fit and finish for an H&K..but I'd still like to have one in the collection! Would love a sneak peek inside of your safe! Thank you for everything you do LAV! ✌
Need one to maintain "social distancing"
Beautiful video production, the timing, speed changes and music are perfect 👌🏻
I really like your videos Larry.... to the point, no bullshit, straight up. Please continue.
Congrats on 800K! 1M soon!
Beautiful weapon!
Great content and insight. Thanks LV!
God bless you Larry 🇺🇸🙏🏻
Thanks Larry V. like the shooting angles with the camera!!!👌🔥👍Cool stuff!!! Keep the vids Rollin!! ..D.L. out.
Another great production from LAV.
Now that’s what I’m talking about love the actual rate of fire shown in videos
Was starting to think my guy Larry came down with COVID19 but he’s back with more interesting content!
Probably got restless with the social distancing
Awesome sound
Jeez, that thing spits brass in every direction.
Yeah I noticed that too
clear departure from the G3 and MP5, most curious
He deserves more attention for those great objective gun reviews.
I like that you're shooting close up targets in auto. Would like to see more of it in the future, to get an idea of how controllable the guns are.
I used the HK steel mags in Iraq before Pmags got big. I loved them. They were definitely heavy but they were very reliable for me. Only downside is the typical HK price.
For what kind of rifle?
@@lioncelica5170 M4A1
@@trashpanda314 With H&K steel mags? I didn't think that was allowed, only USGI. How would they even be obtained?
@@lioncelica5170 it’s been a long time but I think I just ordered them online. Can’t speak for everyone, I was airborne infantry and we could use pretty much whatever mags we wanted. pmags, surefire, HK, lancers. Same with optics provided they were milspec.
@TrashPanda us military?
Great over the shoulder footage!!
Every video from Vickers is good!
Am I the only one? but I find your videos RELAXING.
The assault rifle no one needed as it came too late to the party. Great video LAV.
Wasn't expecting Larry to do a video on homete rifle, and the fact that it did not jam in the video.
For GFL players: "Homete gun"
I knew I'd find one of you somewhere in here.
God damn was expecting this
homete gun X homete fox √
Yep, total Raifu
Finally, homete gun.
Nice never seen or heard of this weapon before. Really nice sounds really awesome when fired
Man Vickers tactical just kills it again on the vids. this gun seems very badass and i didnt even know this weapon was a thing tbh
Mr Vickers thank you for your vids.
6:03-6:10 OH YES the footage in your vids is a thing to be enjoyed.
Thanks!
very smooth
Man, the full-auto looks effortless in your hands!
Absolute best video!!!
H O M E T E, awesome video Vickers!
Gfl player detected
Awsome vid, the best gun channel
I wish I had the money to get one of these but there’s no civilian market one and these had jamming issues. I am happy to see it made it’s way here.
This Rifle needs a sordid weekend away with an AN94... Imagine that LoveChild! Honestly believe it'd outsell any weapon on the planet.
Little HK SMG1 and SMG2 would be the offspring
What a beautiful machine gun...
Larry is such a real bad ass, with all respect ✊ awesome 😎
thx for nice VIDEO!
I am disappointed in the lack of... “the slapTM”
3:55 G41 bolt head is the same size as the 7.62 (with some mods it can be run in a hk23e/hk21e gun) It has nothing to do with the bolt heads as to why the gun wasn't adopted. It was the cost.
taylorwso why was it cost prohibitive?
Exactly my thoughts. I don't see any failures in any firing mode and the rifle is very stable. It is about a pound heavier than an M16...
Frank Taeter pound makes a difference
And the case ejection seems to have some troubles.
@Vince that doesn’t answer my question. That only says why they didn’t adopt it.
I was thinking early in the video "wish he showed the targets" and there they are- nice addition
Amazing content
LV is no joke. That made my day.
I like it. Cool to see LAV shooting it.
Very good
What i always like about HK platforms is the left side charging handle..... ergonomically user friendly for me....
Awsome channel Larry Vickers first an foremost. The HK G41 looks to be an awesome rifle. Also a rear bird here in The US. I've never seen one in person. Only photographs an on UA-cam. Love the content Larry an love your taste in Firearms...
@B real Go Fuck your self snowflake...
Nice well that on my list now
Beautiful weapon
The tat tat repeated sound of G41 makes it DEADLY SEXY 💪🏻 No wonder many militaries and militias like them!
I do like the cyclic rate of the HK
And you're right about the pressure issue that particular model had.
You remember the earlier variants?
And the issues they had when first being developed.
Almost as bad as the old Mattel M16
This and the HK33 are the sexiest guns.
Homete!
Really interesting gun...I wanna try it
It sounds so sweet.
Looks fun thou. Thx LAV
I’d love Larry to do an SA80 review. A1 through to A3. He might get the MOD to throw it in the bin.
Looks pretty slick.
Imma waiting for some Girls' Frontline commanders of culture to say the wisdom
Homete homete
I’m waiting for the R6S players talking about thatcher
YOURE NOT A "MAN OF CULTURE" YOURE AN ANIME ADDICTED TEENAGER.
@@tacocat0436 what ever you said, folks.
Have a nice day/evening.
@@tacocat0436 AND WE, ARE PROUD OF IT
Whatchu gonna do bout it?
That's right, nuth-in.
I really want one of those and an MP5. badass weapons.
6:13 that was awesome. 😂
U can tell Larry was enjoying that gun a lot
Anyone else watch the slow motion and go 'stooooovvvvveeeee piiiip- nope its out'
larry, do you can do a video about the m16 a2 ? or the colt m703 or m733 with m203 or xm177 with xm148
If you ever feel useless, just remember that there is a dust cover on this HK 41.
Daniel Butsch , 🤣 top shelf comment, my man.
Ever see that famous photo of the G3-wielding soldier in a dust storm covering the ejection port with his thumb? Forgotten Weapons / In Range TV showed how that opening can really let dirt in and induce stoppages. It doesn't seem like a bad idea to have a built-in cover.
@Michael Srite have you seen how Russian manufacturers test their AKs? Ill give you a hint: it involves a trip to a dust room where it stays while particles of all sorts of sizes coat it to the point that the action sounds like sandpaper, then gets fired, it gets completely frozen and then fired and, it gets to spend time in a "rain" room where salt water simulates years of corrosion, and then the gun gets fired. If the gun fails due to a mechanical malfunction the entire batch is examined for problems.
@@BigChiefWiggles Regardless of what you may think you CAN make an AKM choke via particulates.
@@reignick1133 you can make any mechanism with moving parts seize up with enough obstruction in the right place, but the real AKs are specifically tested for their resistance to that. That and clearing an AK generally means popping the dust cover off and cycling the gun by hand a few times, might have to turn it upsidedown, almost every other gun i know would involve field stripping at that point and a toothbrush.
awesome
the smirk at the end lol
I used to have a class 3 MP5 back when they were about 5x cheaper than they are now. The roller delayed blowback system is very reliable. I did many mag dumps and don’t recall ever having any issues with it. I looked it up at the time and NASA had with documented over 500,000 rounds with only small parts being replaced.
there are rental guns with over 1 million rounds, change some springs maybe a worn extractor-thats it
@@taylorwso nah, barrels don’t last anywhere near that long.
would love ya to do more smg's
80s guns had so much character..
Yo that's some solid H&K
very very good ...
That bugger shoots really nice. Hardly any muzzle rise.
Because it's heavier than a G3...
She weighs 9 lbs and LAV weighs... doesn't matter, he knows how to control a machine gun.
Copy that, Larry sure does know how to run it
Thanks
Not only do you see barrel whip in the slow motion portion, you can also see the flash hider rotate ever-so-slightly.
awesome awesome awesome.please do a HK91
Hey Larry. It would be cool to see a quick field strip and look at the internals in these videos. Just a thought.
Looks so smooth firing could imagine being able to lay down some accurate rounds on the 3 round bursts.... What size is the calibre???
I love these vids about hk41 because it was performed in Dogsoldiers movie now if only cod warzone can add it in
H O M E T E ~ H O M E T E ~
Yes... i had to do this,
and it was worth it!
?
You look a lot slimmer than in your video “why I’m fat” props to you man, new sub
What a gun. 🌹🌹🌹🌹
Thailand still use the old HK33!!!
Hindadubfing Official heavy as fuck tho
The shooting footage and the previous explanation you would think were two different guns lol, that was seeming to do very well in 3 round and FA soft enough for you to get really nice groups in full go on those steel plates, very nice IMHO.
Look at that recoil . It's that the airsoft rifle? So awesome
I need one of these just in case of any zombie apocalypse
Keep on top of that weight fella, Stay safe and stay uploading to UA-cam. ;-)
It's kinda lot relieving to see your videos in my yt reccs
Larry, please try and get your hands on a British L85 SA80A3 rebuild by H&K. The A3 is our mid life upgrade to the rifle so it ain't going anywhere anytime soon for us. Would be great to see your breakdown of it.
Nice gun I like Heckler and Koch rifles
