gamarjoba (გამარჯობა) is the word equvalent of hello, hi, good day that we have in many languages and we use it no matter whom we greet and which time of teh day we say it :)
What works for our students and we try to do it here as well is to give a context what we talk about and some cultural and linguistic pieces of information that may help you learn as well :)
If I get the comment correctly it's aboyu salami - salami is a word you can hear form time to time, even e.g. on TV or radio. That's why we often give it as well so you won't be surprised when having a conversation :)
