Hi thanks for sharing this video, a good score I believe. I don’t know much about Coleman because living in Ireland it’s mostly Tilleys that are available. A couple of years ago they had very little value but recently a lot of people getting into collecting and the prices are going up. I did come across an 1974 639 kerosene lantern that I just paid €70 for and apparently they’re worth a few quid now. My understanding is that most Coleman’s run on white gas which isn’t really available here. I did find a camping shop that sold Coleman fuel in small bottles at €14 for less than a litre. I guess that one of the reason it’s mostly kerosene lanterns here. I love your patriotic intro at the start of your vid. God bless America.
I picked up a Tilley heater a year or so ago, but I haven't gotten around to finding the proper o-ring and seals to get it going yet. The Tilleys are rare here and usually high dollar when you can find them. I have a few lanterns and stoves that run on kerosene also. Thanks for watching, and God bless.
Wow, that's awesome! I've always loved these things. I collected these for a few years but unfortunately been screwed over at least 6 or 7 times when I was trying to buy a Gold Bond but kept trying until last year. A guy literally let me drive 2 hours one way to just not answer my calls or texts when I got there & I later found out he sold it to someone else for the same amount I was giving him before I got there & that was the end for me. It just wasn't meant to be apparently. I never saw adult guys get so bent out of shape over a lantern until I started looking at buying a gold bond. It was crazy. I met some good people out there like yourself in this hobby & I've even given lanterns to younger guys to be kind & give them a good start but the others just made it not so fun. I put my Sears & colemans away and haven't even looked at them in over a year but am going to get them back out again.
I hate to hear this. A few people can really ruin things for people. I have done the same thing a couple of times in the past. I once drove an hour to pick up a sears stove to get no response when I got there. After making it back home, it was listed as sold. Another time I drove about the same distance for a rotted out 275 just for the globe and clearly asked them if it had chips or cracks before making the trip and I could see the crack as soon as she got it out of her car coming across the parking lot. The had the nerve to get mad at me for not buying it. Lol 😆🤣😂 But overall I have found these people are far and few in between. There are many more people who will do you right. God bless.
@@colemanrestorationsrepair4171 ha! Right! I couldn't imagine doing that to anyone & always thought it was a fun hobby but learned for some people it's not just a hobby & will step on toes or throw out huge amounts of money to get what they want. I'm just a normal working class guy & don't have crazy amounts to spend. I gave away most of the common 220's I had to local kids/young adults who liked them & that gave me some joy to see them happy. You gave me some hope though & will pull my lanterns back out again & give it another try. I still have a few of my better ones & the very first 220j with amber globe that got me started in this crazy thing but will have to pull them all back out to see what I even have left. Enjoy your day!!

Oh man I was on pins and needles on the trip to get them. I was really excited knowing I was getting a really nice gold bond for cheap but at the same time I was scared to death someone would tell him what he had and offer him more money before I could get there. Lol. He said he got several messages after I contacted him but he held them for me. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Wow, what a find! That Gold bond is nice! I'm pretty new to Coleman collecting. Do you think $30 is a good buy on a 413G Gold Bond stove I saw at a yard sale? It's in averege condition. Thanks. And great video!
I have never ran across the gold bond stove and really don't know the value but it definitely sounds like a fare price. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Wow, congratulations on the nice find. I almost got a score like that but before I could get there the guy Googled the lanterns and then he wouldn't sell them.. o well, we talked and I made a friend anyway. Lol
Yeah. I was on pins and needles the trip up there. I thought someone would offer more money and he would sale them before I could get there. It's happened to me before. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Glad to see God gave you a big hand in your lamp hobby. You don't suppose you could ease up on him a little for your needs so he can help children with leukemia for a minute?
Wow what a score brother! Amazing!
