I love how glock makes its own bb guns and how they make them look so real ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxnX9wE_Q8zvF75Y5iWzTU3Q4FlrtyGApQ , the only thing is that the slide doesn't move back. The sights and the body structure is so similar to a real handgun, fits in my hand perfectly but I actually ordered it with the 40 pack of Co2 tanks and they never arrived even though it said that they handed It to me. Was not able to test the accuracy since I didn't get everything I purchased which is frustrating and that's the whole reason why I got the bundle so it arrives together. So the Co2 tank happens to be a third party so it makes no sense to put it in the bundle if it doesn't get shipped at the same time, the BB gun arrived first then the Co2 tanks were supposed to arrive someday later but didn't, which doesn't make sense. I recommend just ordering the gun itself so you don't get the same issue I ran into plus there's no option for a refund. How stupid.

Sig p220 carry all the way. I have both and the G36 imo has poor ergonomics, finger pinch, much more felt recoil, etc. The sig is overall a higher quality gun in my opinion.

Good review, I bought my P220 many years ago and love it. I also recently bought a P227. LOVE both, but carry a Glock. I will never like any Glock, own 5, but as a tool, hard to beat.

The Glock is great if you're on a budget. I carried it for a couple years and had no problems. However, the Sig (I have the 229 now), is superior in every way. So if you have the money don't waste your time with the Glock.

I have a P220 SAS custom shop compact and they seem to have resolved all of the things you take issue with here. Slightly thinner, carry melted to kill snags, SRT short reach and reset trigger, siglite night sights and no rail(unnecessary on a gun this small IMO). May be worth a second look, Colion Noir!

I have both. Buddy and myself both bought a gen 2 36. His kept misfiring. He was upset cause they said he was "limp wristing". Oh he was mad. I had no problem. He traded for the sig p220. Awesome gun.
He passed, I got all his guns so I sold my glock. I miss it. It's smaller. the guy just called me aking if I wanted to buy it back. (So I am). Lol.
I love it as a cc gun. And i also am a glock fan. Love both guns, but I'd choose the sig to.( if I had to choose!)

Great table top. Valid points on both sides. At the end of the day, it all comes down to which one does the individual shoot better. IMO it takes a good 100 rounds to learn a guns idiosyncrasies and get dialed in. Results on paper are where it's at, and training breeds confidence. Everything else is subjective, and little more than a conversation about personal preference.

Good review, man. I have used both Sigs and Glocks in the line of duty and my preference is towards the Sig side of things, I found ways to mitigate the weight of my issue 220SAO and 226 through proper application of support gear such as good holsters and belts as well as modes of dress, never had a snag. One thing I would do is see if you can reliably load a full size or even ten round 220 magazine into the P220 Compact as that might be the game changer and get you those two extra + rounds!

I enjoy your videos man. They are usually well planned out (or at least have that feel) and informative without being zealous. I have a P220 and really love it. I think you are dead on about the ergonomics. The feel of the pistol in my hands was the reason I chose the Sig over the Glock and also the reason my groups were consistently tighter - that's what I tell myself anyway. I have come around to giving the Glock a second look for many of the reasons you mentioned. Keep up the good work!

Great vid as always sir. Recently I put a Ghost Ultimate 3.5 trigger connector in my Glock 19 carry gun, during the connector installation I went ahead and did the "25 cent Glock trigger job" and boy is that trigger smooooth. I wish I would've done this a long time ago...I mean for me it's the perfect trigger. You should give this a try, the connector is only $14 and it's very easy to install.

Colion I routinely carry a SIG 220, 220 Compact, or 227 45 ACP as a back up to my Kimber K6S because I am an old man and grew up shooting a 1911 :) That being said the 45 ACP is great for a carry gun if you can shoot it :) I do these mods to the SIG in the all metal P series : SRT sear, Amory Craft or Gray Guns flat trigger (the Gray Guns flat trigger comes with a new trigger bar too that lightens the feel of the trigger pull weight as well), Armory Craft big X series style take down lever for same offhand hold on the gun, Armory Craft skeletonized trigger (my thoughts if using lightened hammer spring to use a lighter hammer itself), 17 Pound hammer spring, and match weight sear spring. It gives you a lighter but deliberate double action pull and a nice single action pull weight with a very short reset :) The flat trigger lends itself to a fast reset as well so great for followup shots.

  • @jimigogls
    @jimigogls 9 років тому

I only browsed through your video, but I suggest getting a SRT kit installed and you will like the single action trigger break much better. Furthermore I know it sounds silly but if you leave the pistol chamber open and slide locked to rear over a weekend or so it will compress that hammer spring a little and give you a smoother double action pull. Good Luck!

I love shooting Sigs and the P220 would be ideal IF I could enjoy carrying it concealed. But after much research and live fire testing of several other choices, I went with the G36. Of course you can shoot a Sig better because a heavy gun is just flat out easier to shoot well. But for sheepdog work, G36 is there for emergency use. Guns like Sig, H&K - those are for professional gun slingers, in my opinion. Excellent video talking about both BroCo ...

Either one of these .45's would serve the private citizen equally well. Consider rural
remote regions here in both Southern Oregon and Northern California. The proverbial
State of Jefferson has suffered fiscal and budget cutbacks to their police and sheriff's
departments due largely to loss of timber funds. This leaves the citizen basically on
their own. Anyway if I were broke down, stranded alone, or by myself along a lonely
rural county road or highway I'd be equally protected by either.

my sig is about 3 years old and still looks like the day i bought it, the trick with the nitron finish on the sig slides is to wipe it down with a silicone cloth really good, i mean get it really caked and greasy and then kind of buff it out with a clean soft rag like you would a car. the finish comes out looking perfect ill guarantee it. most people use a silicone cloth and leave all the wet silicone on the gun, it gives it a deep black look but it also makes it look greasy, not the right way.

I really like sig. This is some what of a tie for me tho. The size vs capacity is so close i would have a hard time choosing. However im a da/sa shooter so i would have to take the sig. Trigger is just more natural, 'for me' that is. However, I like glock too so either would be okay with me if i had no choice. I simply have more time on a sig/beretta type trigger system so its more in my muscle memory. As for concealability, i carry a full frame firearm every day, so again its a tie with these two size wise. It literally boils down to just the trigger for me.

I am leaning towards the sig P220 but I am debating between the carry and the compact because of the grip length. Beauty, they say, is in the eyes of the beholder. I've had Glocks since the Gen 1's. I decided on the 9mm as my caliber of choice and I must say that my 9mm Glocks have never let me down, not once. There are several things that I admire about the Glock. Their reliability is second to none, in my experience anyway. And their simplicity is a real plus to me. They are more accurate than they have any right to be and their spongey triggers can be made to be both light and smoooooth.

Excellent presentation. I am a Glock 30 fan but don't carry it. I think the 36 can be carried easily (lookin at N82 holsters) but the concern is capacity. Read some other comments on other carry guns and capacity was major reason why it was a major consideration 10-17 rounds or more!
Six plus one might do it with a spare mag ready to go. What says you bout that?

Yesterday I went to the range and shot the full size version of this.
Sig is a beautiful gun, but only 8 rounds and very heavy and snaggy.

Great job man , after more than 30 years with Sig's the other carry or house / up and down the road gun i would carry is HK USP . Glock is a big fat NO.

Maybe its the same thickness when measuring the slide, but the body of the gun (handle) is definitely smaller in terms of width. Hence, the single stack mag.

    Good video. I prefer the 36 with a carry-clip.

The P227 is the same gun, just double stack. It's 10+1

I love the videos, but I just wanted to point out that all P220 are single stack. The P220 carry just has a lower mag capacity. The P220 carry also has a smaller slide than the regular P220.

I have a Glock and a XDm at .45 compact. Hands down the XDm because of its Character and ease to field strip.
