Longines is very underrated. Own a few, and they are great pieces.
I have more expensive watches in my collection but my Conquest is, by far, my go-to favorite. It's a brilliant timekeeper.
Longines is pure class
I collect Longines tanks from the 40s/50s. It is getting tougher and more expensive every day. Glad I started two decades ago.
One of my favourite, most underrated watches is the Longines Evidenza worn by Le Chifre in Casino Royale.
Everyone loves Daniel Craig's Seamaster in that film, but Le Chifre had the better timepiece.
The Evidenza is a great watch, pair it with a leather strap and it looks great.

Internally the evidenza is massive let-down though - its just a regular, round movement sitting in that tonneau case, unlike their 40s originals with the rectangular movements.

Longines Legend Diver with the Milanese, love the watch. Amazing quality on the vintage and sportier pieces. The new selection coming out, especially the Spirit Zulu, just wow for the price, when compared to others in the range, in my humble opinion.
One of the best and underrated watch brands
I've just inherited a nice longines watch, it is a very light watch on the wrist, it is a grey titanium and gold links, nice piece,I love it.
An amazing brand. I think they really have mastered the "modern vintage" watch. I own the Big Eye and it manages to find time on my wrist very, very often. I think that the value for money is phenomenal with these.

Longines is up there with Rolex and AP and Omega and Tudor
And they keep the pricing reasonable. Such a great company, can't be beat 👍

I’ve just bought a blue dial from the Longines Master Collection - it’s beautiful!
They are very stylish, not overpriced, nice quality and finish and have great designs. They are my favourite brand. Invest in these they are great watches.

One of my own watches is a lovely dress Longines with the 990.1 movment. It!s a beautiful watch and keeps time very elegantly. Longines unfortunatly were ignored for a long time. The petrol dial Big Eye is a wonderful looking thing

I finally bought my first Longines (Hydraconquest in dark grey) and hopefully I can get a couple more down the road.
I am new to this world...recovering Apple Watch addict...I decided that I am going to spend around £2000 on my first piece. Obviously not near the Rolex/Omega or even Tudor end of the playing field, but I was considering a TAG, because in my mind that is a good brand (!?). But the more of these videos that I see, the more I realise two things: 1. TAGs have a terrible reputation among enthusiasts 2. Longines provides amazing value for money and has a great reputation. I think I am going to start with the HydroConquest. It seems like a good, affordable automatic piece.
I've got my eye on the new 37 Spirit in champagne. Looks amazing.
The only brand where i have more than only one watch. Both are champion in accuracy, so very comfortable never concern about accuracy.

I just purchased a Conquest VHP, fell in love with the look and simplicity.

Excellent to see spotlight on Longines, but hour angle watch was Lindbergh collab AFTER his historic flight… basically the watch he would have loved to have. These moments in horology often get glossed over, like Rolex INVENTING the dive watch with the sub… ahem… FIFTY FATHOMS. And then again with the GMT Master… ahem… GLYCINE AIRMAN. Cheers!

Every longines watch I have tried on was underwhelming to put it nicely. I’m hoping the new ultra chron doesn’t disappoint
Just got me an almost unused second-hand Master Collection Moonphase 42mm black dial for a very fair price. It is still the most I've spent on a watch, but by all means, it is an absolute beauty to behold and wear.
Vintage Longines is SUPER underpriced. '40-70 chronos beside of the 13ZN are very accessible and historically significant.
Do you know that the book you recommend costs £890? This is absurd! I love Longines, I have three. I would like to know their history better.

You are mistaken for "lower down the prestige chain" with "well known".
They are no 4 at the moment by market share, behind Rolex, Omega and Cartier but ahead of everyone else - including Patek, AP and Vacheron Constantin - the so called "holy trinity".
Hardly what I would call "not necessarily the most well-known"...
