I personally enjoyed WoD my whole time playing it. A new experience, a unique expansion. Despite what people have said about the game I ignored it and enjoyed my time playing it because that’s how you’re suppose to play a game. Instead of taking the opinions of others make your own.
Same. WoD is the expansion I’ve played the most of, because I was unemployed when it came out; I put hundreds of hours into this expansion so I have really fond feelings about it. I know WoD had a lack of content, but what was there was great. Especially the art, music and levelling. I hold to this day that the entry-to-Draenor starting quests are still the best expansion-entry quests in the game; the pace is excellent and the introduction to each of the Warlords one by one is so epic.
I enjoyed it but ran out of things to do and quietly left until Legion. I enjoyed what I played and would rate WOD among the best at least in terms of what is there. It is unfortunate it carried the burden of having little to do. Shadowlands has plenty to do but all of it sucks. I would rather it be good but few than many but crap. Just a different philosophy in game design preference I suppose. Although I don't think calling Shadowlands poopy is an uncontroversial opinion.
@SaracottaPie so damn true, WoD was so much fun but felt so damn short, kinda wish they held off legion till November 2016, because imo thats when they ruined the classes, and the whole artifact grinding power was dumb asf.
Everything was amazing in WoD. Except end game, which lacked content, but leveling, zones, art, music, quests, etc., were top level. I was slow to level in WoD as I haven't got much time to do it, but I enjoyed my leveling a lot.
i understand what you mean but this is just because our beloved warlords were all already charismatic and loved by everyone . The music was great but what they did to them was horrible. They used to shake the lands of draenor and now they are all gone and grommash is just a silly old man fighting the whole army of the light alone.
I've always loved wow soundtracks, no matter how good the game/xpac was. I haven't played the game much since Wotlk, i think i never really liked the rebuilding of the old world after Cata. But wow songs are always pieces of art. I didn't recall this one though. But it is for sure one of my favourite ! Thanks you
World of Warcraft a toujours eu d'excellentes musiques.
The hate for WoD isn't about what it did right (like the music, and the questing experience, and the base expansion's plot, and the raids) but for what it failed to do well (Lackluster garrisons, more than one substantial patch, vast amounts of cut content, all the dropped storylines, the flying controversy, etc.). WoD had plenty to love, but also plenty more promised that never happened. Hence the hate.
@@writershard5065 I think it is fair to say WOD is among the best expansions with an asterisk. Because what is there is among the best the game has done. There just wasn't a lot of it. It was clear there was development issues. Something slowing them down substantially. Or maybe after years of stagnating they wanted to hit WOD hard but just didn't have enough time to fill their ambition. It was not good and deserves the hate but I think it unfair to compare it similarly to the likes of BFA and especially Shadowlands. Shadowlands has more to do but almost none of it is really worth doing. Wod had little to do but almost all of it was worth doing. In terms of enjoyment anyway.
I'm still bummed we didn't get more of Orgrim Doomhammer. He was the Warchief of Legend. He came damn close to conquering the Alliance during the Second War. The orc capital is named after him.
The music carries us through the dark years, when Danuser and his vandals continue to destroy all that was Warcraft. To those of us who remember what Warcraft was this music is a light in the darkness.
I remember when I saw the wod promo photo of Gorehowl lodged into a taxi cab in Times Square. I thought this was going to be the expansion that would bring wow back and was so pumped for it. Bad as it was, they definitely did some things right like the music and art. Actually I don't think wow has ever failed on those two fronts at all.
I don't know how it crept into popular opinion that WoD was bad. Coming from MoP into WoD was absolutely amazing. So many fantastic game play changes and evolutions, and a return to what we loved about Vanilla/TBC/Wrath. Where it can be judged "bad" is the fact that the dev team couldn't produce content that they planned, and it took far too long for new content to appear. What we got however, was amazing!
The best thing by far about WoD was the soundtrack... well for that matter... the good thing about Warlords of Draenor was actually.. ANYTHING that was NOT THE GAME. Every single bit of content that was not the horrible abomination of a game client was superb. The cinematics, the Warbringer shorts, the book, music.. everything just an awesome loveletter to the overall story.

I always thought wod shadowmoon valley was the most beautiful wow zone ever. The theme, colors, and history is just completely ethereal and gorgeous
One of the best and most beautiful areas is Val'Sharah druid forest in Legion. I was mind blown and hats off Blizzard for such work. Simply stunning.
I think you are guys are gonna like Ardenweald in Shadowlands, it's basically Shadowmoon Valley and Val'sharah put together.
This music is from Grimrail Depot though.

I still love WOD! It wasn't my favorite expansion, but i don't really understand the hate it gets.. :(

Oh god, first Nightsong and now A Light In The Darkness..
It's like you are reading my mind!! xD

If you want your mind to be blown listen to League of Legends Daylights end (intro) and then nightsong. It's awesome

WoW has the best music out of any MMO hands down. (although Jeremy Soule with GW2 is also pretty awesome)
so beautiful
ahhhh Talador est dans mon coeur avec ce son=)

Where can i hear this music in Shadowmoon Valley?

It's not from cataclysm like u said in description, it's from draenor
