KAYO USA Dirt Bike Review!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 жов 2024
- We took the 2021 Kayo KT 250 & K6-EFI 250 out to Arizona Cycle Park Vet Track to put the bikes to the test. Although these bikes were designed for the trails they have the bones of motocross bikes. We wanted to get a baseline of where our riders ride so they can give an honest review on the performance of the bike.
Overall we were all impressed by the Kayo KT250 & K6, for a low cost, entry level dirt bike they line up well to any name brand dirt bike today.

Good video but most anything the Chinese make it is not made to last even with proper maintenance. Spend the little extra and buy a quality used suzuki or kawasaki in my opinion
USA made in tx
@@coryrivett1219nope
From what I’ve been told kayo was started by a Honda engineer and they are American made but who knows they look better quality then most China bikes
@@aceneto9386 Look up Hengjian chinese bikes. I got the 2021 450 sumo setup. 😎
Spend the extra 5k l.aoooo😂
It is impressive that Enduro intended machines held up to MX track use. It is amazing how many people automatically want to ding these units for not having MX power and gearing and suggest that they are inferior when it is blatantly obvious that they were not built with that style of riding as it's focus.
The KT 250 is a modern take on bikes like the Yamaha IT 200 and KDX 220r from the late 80s and early 90s. It is also more comparable with a Beta, Husaburg, or KTM XC-W.
Everyone seems to put a thousand dollars or more on 10000 buck bikes. I’d like to see someone get one and spend a thousand or more on it. Then compare.
Am 14 I have a kayo 125cc I think it runs great am new to dirt bike riding but I think it runs perfectly fine I made a video on it once I think it’s great to finally see someone ride kayo on the track before saying it’s a Chinese made bike it’s not good it make me sad to see that because the bikes the make are pretty good
It’s pretty good 👍
How has yours held up ? Been looking at a smaller one for the kiddo and a 125 or 250 to play on for me
@@caperformance_motorsports mine has been kinda crap lately it’s like a hit or miss it ran good sometimes but no it doesn’t want to but my little brother has the exact same bike and his runs smoother than mine ever did I think it really depends on who you buy it from I heard the 250 is a pretty good bike but yeah just be careful on who you get the bike from because that’s the only thing my dad did different with mine and my brothers bike got them from two different company’s
Always run premium it's a big deal
Thanks for making this video..I wanted to make this type video for my Kayo K6-R and did do something similar....Happy to share this on my Facebook Group Page.
Get some more video of the pro on the bike and have him comment on it please
Go for sharing it! Dm us on instagram if you want the file! Thank you!!
definitely would like to see more performance videos on these. maybe some single track. or enduro
I opted out of buying Kayo though I like
the styling, and prices.
Parts availability (Good Lucky')
Parts Source (None)
Owners manual , some good info but woefully
inadequate
Kayo US distributer USELESS, don't even respond
US dealers, do not respond to inquiries.
Specs, not counting words like; 'nice power' :
Curb Weight NO
Shock Travel Front NO
Shock Travel Rear NO
HP Torque NO
Dyno NO
Compression NO
Stator Wattage NO
I assume with any bike that I own, every part on
the bike not counting the frame will need replacing
some parts a heck of a lot sooner than one might
expect, with Kayo, there are no parts available that
I can find online or by asking dealerships and even
Kayo's US importer.
When someone tells you that these bikes like
some other chinese imports are totally interchangeable
with bikes like CRF110 , or YZ125 etc, they are full
of crap, I've been down that road with other bikes,
you can get lucky on a part, that is all.
After my research, when I see the name KAYO,
I run in the other direction. Frankly, the TAO's and
Apollo bikes have no models that I have any interest
in, though they probably have adequate parts support,
which is probably my biggest concern.
If you're getting a Kayo to putt around the back yard
with, the bike will probably serve you well. If you want
honest and useful tech answers from Kayo dealers
and Kayo importers, forget about it..
I appreciate the information
@@johnquinn9759 You bet, I wound
up buying a different Chinese Bike
230cc dirt, I probably didn't mention
it cause I hate to sound like shill.
The dealer was a joke, so I won't
mention that name either.
You might want to skip the rest
of this, if you buy locally, the rest
of this is just about shipping..
----
Heads up on shipping, most of the
dealers that I'm aware of, will ship
pot-luck, they WILL NOT give you
a ship date or delivery day, cause
they ship when they have enough
bikes going on the route that leads
to your residence of business, they
get VERY vague about when it ships,
but the will advertise saying; ships
within 3 days, stuff like that....
...then the excuses/bs, and ''read
the fine print'',
lol, then they'll say something like;
''oh yea , you'll get it before Christmas
etc. lots of bs, hope you get lucky.
Next time I order , I'm going to ask/insist
on a delivery date, or I'll keep shopping.
I like the attention u guys are giving...but the K6-R is the MX specific model with no enduro equipment, stiffer suspension and 19" rear wheel + Kenda tires. U guys took the 2 enduro bikes on the track. But, at least u confirmed my thoughts that the suspension could take MX riding.
My thoughts exactly 💯
Enduro version?
We agree! We didn't have a K6-R in stock at the time of the video. We have plans to review that bike with another guy from our shop on the big track. Look for that soon!
So the k6r is the motocross version ?
I understand that everyone had their doubts about a new brand of a bike even me but I bought it and it has took a beating I have broken my arm had multiple near death experiences 😅 but I’ve had it going on 3 years and have had no problems whatsoever few flats but mostly my fault 🤦 but it really made its money worth
That's good to know. Been thinking about picking up the KT 250 for myself and the 230 for my wife. If you've beaten the hell out if it and it's still running good, I know my wife won't be riding that hard. Lol.
Cool bikes, but I’d rather have branded bikes like I have a Yamaha yz85 and crf100f
I started to watch as im interested but the freaking intro takes to damn long
Better get a Yamaha
It’s weird seeing a pipe tike that on a 250. It looks more like a 125 pipe.
I'm a big 2 stroke fan, dirt bike and atv, any chance they could sneak the motor in a the sport quad?
Im sure they have future plans if sales are high enough.
They have them
@@Godisdodd Kayo already makes a 2 stroke 4 wheeler? That's what he was asking... have you seen one because I haven't yet, I'm not saying there isnt....just that I ain't seen one yet
Thompson Betty Miller Amy Martin Patricia
Great job u two!
Clearly amateur test riders making a amateur review
Where can I get an owners manual for the KT250? I'm trying everywhere. I created a "China Riders" profile hoping to find one their...I couldn't. I don't do Facebook.
I would make a facebook account. There is a decent KAYO riders group on facebook and they may be able to help.. Or contact your local dealer or Kayo themselves.
@@NashPowersports Thank you. I did contact my dealership and they actually pulled the one off of Facebook for me. All is right with the world again :)
I downloaded my Kayo 2 stroke owners/ service manual off of kayo website...very comprehensive detailed manual....google kayo KT owners manual
Wish these 250 bikes had 250 pipes on them. Thats a 125 style pipe
Might be getting rid of 1998 rm 250 on a trade in or sell it to have more money to buy one
hey I’m looking at these, how tall are you
Both riders were between 5'7 and 6'0
250cc 2t 28hp....😂😂🤣🤣japan beast forever
YON SHORTS invites you to join and grow the channel
How come the parts for these bikes are limited? Do you sell a piston kit for any of these bikes?
Thats my main concern id rather spend a few thousand more on a yamaha honda etc just for the sake of being able to souce parts
from what I've learned on these. the clones are usually universal. not always but for the most part.
Junk
What sets he kayo 250f apart from the egl
Good luck finding parts
3:26 ''..had a lot of power, it felt
just like a 250 4 stroke should..''

Do you have the EFI model and if so how are you liking it I'm getting it next week and it's just wondering thanks

😂😂😂😂😂😂250 2t chinese ? 🤣🤣🤣hp? YAMAHA IS THE BEAST
@@saltyfloridaman7163 yamaha yz250 2t engines have 44hp and Chinese copies have 36hp
@@sebykesmotors5712 you also have to consider it is not a 250 engine it is a DT 230 wide ratio dual sport engine. So truthfully it is more comparable to a KDX 220 than a YZ MX bike. You have to examine the targeted class of riders that the machine is built for. The KT has both a headlight and a tail light which means it is geared towards the hair scramble/enduro crowd not a Supercross crowd.
The fact that it makes 36hp puts it as a much better option than a Crf, TTR, or KLX 250 playbike and it is far less expensive than a KTM XC-W 200 for those who want a capable yet lightweight trail/adventurer that pings instead of thumps.
You need to judge the bike based upon it's intended purpose not what you know it is not. There is not a single manufacturer that out of the factory puts a light kit on an MX tuned and geared bike. None of their Enduro units produce the same power or torque ratings as their MX offerings either. Your comment is misaligned based on two entirely different platforms designed and purposely tuned for two entirely different riding styles. The fact that the units held up to MX abuse is a remarkable feat in of itself regardless of power stats.

@Duke Bonde I was hoping!! Lol
The kayo website have a Texas Address on it. I thought it might be, but apparently no, Chinese made
they should sell a model with street legal kit on it.
they do sell street legal enduros. here in the Philippines, they have 2 strokes on a street legal set up.
