- Junkers Ju-52 Footage outside and inside the cockpit during takeoff, flying, and landing operations. See what it's like to pilot this 85 year old luftwaffe bomber or transport plane.
Enjoy this awesome flight in the Ju 52 "Iron Annie" from takeoff to landing inside the cockpit. A flight over germany.
The three BMW engines generate an awesome sound. -
What a beauty to see and listen to.
Thank you
My very good friend who passed away flew this for Lufthansa. He loved flying this aircraft. I miss him a great deal. Mathias was a natural born pilot!!

Dank Dir
Awesome to see the old plane still flying couple with the beautiful landscape of the location.
I Hope you enjoyed
@@Warbirds Of course that I did. Thank you very much.
Agree... the scenery is the big bonus!
My ex-father in law flew JU-52’s in WWII. He later flew HE-111’s over Afrika. With no armor and thin skin, the Spitfires bullets came in one side and out the other. His paratroops were glad to jump out.
Wow Great Story !
They used one of the few remaining airworthy "Iron Annies" in the Tom Cruise movie , Valerie. It was a beauty.
Very nice aircraft, the wingspan looks huge and the undercarriage looks strong. I appreciate the cockpit view being able to monitor the instruments. Great video 😉
Thanks Mitch
Oh what a real treat aunty ju i have seen this particular beauty will be around long after we are gone
hope so
Einfach nur geil... Die Tante Ju ist der Beste fliegende Oldtimer der Welt
Ja danke Thomas
@@Warbirds War, leider.😢😢😢😢😢
I really enjoyed this video, thanks for sharing.
Iron Anne!
Before my parents even knew that each other even existed, this plane was already ancient technology, and I am now 70 years old. Well done all, geat video too, thank you.
Thanks watching and commenting
Another prove when something is well engineered becomes timeless!
@@Youtubax yes Made in Germany
@@Warbirds Germans are always good at engineering things
@@slendii366 hopefully they also will be in Future
Thank you very much for sharing this awesome flight !
Thx watching
One of my favorites, what a classy plane. Beautiful job! Thanks for the ride guys.
Glad you enjoyed it
Beautiful video footage mate.
Wunderschöne Aufnahmen.
Thank you
Holy shit. Excellent
Thx
absolutely stunning
I love the three engine configuration. And really get a feel for the huge size of the plane with the zoom in on the pilot at 0:20.
Thank you so much for sharing this amazing video! I like it very much:)
Best regards
Vin
Thanks watching
Brilliante Qualität !!!!!! Danke !!!!!
Danke fürs Lob
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful 😍🥰😍
If i was co pilot of this plane i will definitely get sleeping because of this sound.
What a wonderful classic aircraft.
Beautiful! So lucky to fly and ride in this iconic plane! Is this the plane they would have used to try and supply their army at Stalingrad? She purrs so nicely! Life can't get much better, no? Flying this dream, on such a beautiful day with such stunning landscape. Wow!
Thank watching mate
Thanks for answering his question. What are you a politician?
I don’t think too many of these survived the war but I believe some were used later as commercial planes in South America.
Very skilled pilot, smooth landing. All those gauges and flight instruments look extremely complicated. The old transport plane seems in great condition. Extremely beautiful scenery. I felt like I was there. You must have had a lot of fun A. Very well done. Thank you for sharing.
Yes it was Awesome thanks watching
Amazing!!!
Very good flying that damn thing sir...
That was awesome. What a treat to go along for the ride!
Nice job Rainer, two thumbs up from one of your fans in Canada!
Cheers!
Thank you Bob
Good God what a beauty!
This was an amazing flight for me to look at. What a beautiful scenery to be flying over but you are reminded of how far we have come in aviations since 1930 when this plane was built. Had a climb rate of 700 ft a minute maximum altitude of 19,000 ft absolutely amazing. We have come so much further now our little planes that we fly in the back country have more horsepower and climb rate than this plane but to go back in time what a marvelous thing it is! One of the things I've noticed was the BMW symbol on the control wheels cool. And everything on the control panel is in three.
It has three BMW 132 Engines
We saw on of these flying over Nueschwanstein , very cool!
Me encanta este avion
Ty
Que hermosa maquina, una verdadera leyenda
einmal mit Tante JU(D-AQUI) geflogen...vom Westerwald übers Rheintal....werds nie vergessen...unwiederholbar.......
Herzlichen Dank zurueck!
The same feelings with the fallshirmyagers in mission...Waooo
Tante Ju a majestic bird with modernish controls
Thanks watching
@@Warbirds i enjoyed every minute of the video ... it's a testament to the designers at Junkers that they designed such a rugged and extremely reliable aircraft that hast lasted over the decades
I happy you liked it
Geniale Aufnahmen.
Lovely plane and exciting to see flying today. I was not aware these were used as bombers, they were very slow and minimal armour.
No armour at all, and little payload. Anything of industrial production was militarized then.
Nice BMW ;)
Just great!
Thx
I've seen this plane, I was at a castle on the rein river. It made some passes!
That is very marginal performance out of that airstrip. Wouldn't want to do that every day. Awesome machine.
Like the BMW badge in cockpit
And the Engines ?
I have a secret love of this plane! and to think of the 1000's shot down due to slow speed!
Yes ! As troopcarriers many lost over Crete. Believe an abortive evacuation from Russia became a turkey shoot.Terrrible days.
My father in law flew the Ju52 during WW2 as a transport plane.
Cool
I can only fly this in IL-2 Great Battle Series....I love the sound of the engines. But tell me
Comparing to a modern airliner such as the Boeing 737NG or the Airbus A320. How loud is it
when comparing to the 2 modern airliners?
Team look up the aircraft in the series "Wings of the Luff " etc, great doco!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome instrument panel, how to monitor all the instruments when you're flying
I can imagine this aircraft over the sky’s of Greece in 1941 during the battle of Crete dropping Fallschirmjäger all over the island.
This plane was also used by the luftwaffe in the battle of Stalingrad to try to airdrop food for the Wehrmacht
Try to supply 300 000 soldiers with aircrafts carrying 1.5 tons each - this would be one sheet of paper per soldier, just for the dimensions. 1 can of beans per soldier would have taken 100 of such aircrafts at a time. No chance.
Wow... tolle Aufnahmen 😁
Edit: ah, Degerfeld. Hab's gefunden.
Beautiful aircraft..one of my favorite movies was Where Eagles Dare..with Eastwood..think this might be the same kind of aircraft?..anyone know?
Yes exactly the Same Kind and also Swiss Luftwaffe After ww2
I saw logo BMW on steering.👍
That's totally bullshit! The Ju-52 never had this logo on this place.
👍 👍 👍
👍✈️
This is so cool! I feel instantly brought back in time. Why did the pilot cycle the throttle on the middle engine at 11:39?
As the pilot is moving that wheel next to his seat afterwards, I suppose it is about trimming.
Amazing machine. How many have survived,?
2 at flying condition 2 more under revision
www.ju52-halle.de/de/exponate/junkers-ju52/flugzeug-ju52
Looks a little heavy on the controls, the copilots doing all the work, while the pilot holds on for dear life...lol
Hard work so Servos
@@Warbirds lol..yeah like driving a bulldozer vs a porsche
Filming is lousy done...
Do it better
