I've had my Ben Sayers electric golf trolley for 2 years now and I can honestly say it has been brilliant. It worked flawlessly throughout the really wet winter we had and never let me down. Once you get you bag attached it balances the trolley out well. With a saving of just over £300 compared to the other trollies it is really good value.
Used it for 9 holes so far. Battery held up well. Doesn’t have a great deal of torque going up hill, and quite easy to tip. Handle feels like it twists quite easily, motor is whisper quiet, more rigorous testing to come in the next few weeks!
If budget was a serious factor, then yes it makes sense for a junior golfer, especially as it's very lightweight....either this or buy a second hand Motocady or Powakaddy Lithium trolley. But this isn't necessarily 'good value' just because it's cheap....it feels decidedly cheaper than it's competitors in terms of build quality. But that might not matter so much if budget is a key priority :)
I feel like you’re finding problems, for 299 it’s a bargain. You don’t go to Costco to buy the top golf stuff, just like you don’t go to Kia and expect to drive out with a Ferrari
Thanks for sharing Oli. Watching it back, I don’t feel the same, but I appreciate the feedback. I say in the video if you’re on a budget, this could be a great option, but I feel that a cheap price doesn’t automatically equate to good value. This is clearly a level of build and component quality below other budget options I have tested, but it’s also £200 cheaper…this savings have to come somewhere. Add into to the fact one of those accessories has already broken with its first use….i fear some people may buy cheap twice.
I bought this trolley second hand just to save me having to push or carry, used it now in rain and shine and very impressed. My only negative (but please bare in mind mines now two years old if not a little more) the speed controller is a little fickle, it will sometimes jump from 3 - 6 when turning the knob, it sometimes goes from 7-8 when moving, but none of this is major for me and at £15 for a new speed controller not going to cry over that.
If you are playing once a week during the summer then it is an OK option. If you play 5 times a week, summer and winter, then I would not touch it with a bargepole. My experience is that bits fall apart very quickly. Mine squeaked right out of the box. It is poorly designed and there is no point in complaining to Ben Sayers as they just import it from China and have NO input into the design or materials used. Neither do they care.

Love to hear that David 👍 after using it for a few rounds, I agree that the trolley isn’t as prone to tipping over as I had feared.
Yes please to the comparison video 👍
Nice one Fran 👍
Doesn't seem too bad for £300. Intresting to know how you got on with it (did it last 18 holes easy) Love to see comparison.

Would you recommend this to a new golfer? My son is starting out so want to get him a cheap one to start with
Cheers

@@GolfGuyReviews the powakaddy fw it is then 😂
I’ve not tried that Powakaddy in particular, not I can’t comment directly I’m afraid 👍

Would love to see the comparison review as I'm looking to buy my first electric trolly. Good review great watch honest as always 👌🏻
Thanks Paul...I've been pricing them up...looks like I could be selling a few on eBay afterwards too!!!

If I was playing 5 times a week I wouldn’t buy this either 👍
