Yeah, I didn't even recognize his voice at first because it was so "voiceover-y". Kind of like Michael C. Hall from Dexter. Not saying they sound the same but it's also weird that Michael C Hall did a lot of voiceover work before he became as famous as he now is. Although he did a ton of voiceover on Dexter, too.
Im really happy for Doug. Ive known him for over 20 years and he built me a Randy Rhodes V many years ago before he got famous and everything. his knowledge of guitars and his ability at playing borders on the utterly ridiculous!
It's guitars like this that dreams are made of. Beautiful instrument Misha, the chambered body gives the cleans such a full bodied tone, which is also why I think the Aftermaths aren't as rude and harsh sounding as they normally would be in a full solid bodied guitar.
couldn't help but think of hattori hanzo when you were saying it was his finest work. Funny too cause it even looks like it's giving off that kind of vibe haha
Brilliant video guys, can't wait for more! The consistency of quality on this channel is incredible and makes it possibly my favourite subscription if not for the huge gaps between videos - not that I'm complaining. Quality over quantity executed perfectly :)
It’s incredible how a well built guitar can make a tricky set of pickups sound beautiful. I don’t really like the aftermath because they are shrill and too harsh but here they sound unbelievable.
I’ve had my B2 for just over a year now and it has quickly become my “never sell” instrument. I think a lot of people get really caught up in the “well the guitar doesn’t make the player” argument which I don’t necessarily disagree with per se. That being said, I do some of my best work when I’m comfortable on a guitar. If I dial something in, play, and constantly am adjusting settings, turning knobs, etc., I find it much harder to convey what I hear in my head because I’m just constantly fiddling and am distracted. That is the exact opposite experience that I’ve had with my B2. Very surprised you let yours go, but I’m sure you’ll get another at some point. 😉
Nice shirt... amazing game. As for the guitar, it's beautiful, but the overhype for Doug's guitars is astronomical. I'm sure they're great, but aside from rarity, there is nothing that makes them worth that kind of money. If he ever moves into higher production, the bottom will fall out on their value.
Guitar Whores well a handmade, British guitar with handwound British pickups in it alongside top of the range hardware and multiple exotic, incredibly high quality woods does demand a certain price bracket.
can you do another video column like the djent set you did for guitar world in 2011? those videos were really inspirational and insightful and it would to be cool to see an updated version of that
+asish subedi yeah fuck that lol I'm sure he does nice work and all but i don't buy into the whole tone wood and all that shit. 40 year old wood? would be nice on a violin but on a electric guitar it doesn't mean shit.
Man that guitar is beautiful. Cant wait to hear the Juggernauts in it! How much do these go for? It'd be cool if you tabbed out some of the licks and chord progressions you play
This one might have been used in "Have a Blast" because it seems super similar tone-wise to the one he used there. Alao "All New Materials" at 3:06 , just slowed down like hell.
The B2 that was used on Have a Blast was the Burl topped one. You can see it in action during the Periphery II studio update video called "Periphery Hangin in the Studio with Good Buddy Elliot!"
Oh yeah, but damn why are they so tonally similar? What is that sorta factor that makes them sound uniquely alike? By the way, what is the song at the beginning of that video though? I even asked there but I haven't gotten a reply haha
His favorite guitar has different Woodson the neck but ,his Jackson only has maple , I can't imagine it was to keep costs down since his Jackson's are really expensive, plus basswood is the cheaper of the woods for a build and his favorite guitar has and expensive looking top.
Misha actually has a pretty good "review" voice if you will.

The Zerk That's the magic of microphones! Lol
Buy shit.
Top Gear: Guitar Edition

Rumor has it, it has some wood from the crucifix!
Carved using a unicorn's horn.
And it was on a sale for $100K....
painted by micheal angelo, i don't mean that guitar noob i mean the guy that painted jesus on that ceiling
I heard that the binding was made from the semen of satan himself, bestowing the gift of metal to us all.
"...All we know is, he's called the stig."
I like this guy. I couldn't give two squirts of piss about "djent" but he's a fantastic guitarist and musically inclined.
I like how Misha sounds so super serious in this vid, it almost seems a little forced. But for some reason he does have a ''documentary'' voice
This guitar sounds like spreading butter on a fresh bagel in the morning.
Cinnamon bagel with raisins? Or just plain?

I guess it is my hanzo sword hahah
Misha Mansoor Impossibru... Hanzo vowed never again to make an instrument that would kill people ever again!
@@Aalonsoftw isn't that musashi miyamoto?
Gorgeous guitar!
Dat clean neck. Mind blowing, thanks for showing it to us Misha. This guitar is the Hatori Hanzo of instruments.
Ahh playing "All New Materials" could make any review sound awesome, can listen to that intro all day
That guitar is absolutely beautiful! You guys are so lucky to have access to such amazing gear! Keep up the great work! Also NICE shirt man!
Did Misha just endorse a pickup decision that wasn't juggs?
Well he did say "For the time being.." ;)
Since its all Bareknuckle it dosent matter to them
Yes, he is endorsed by Bareknuckle...
It was before the juggs mostt likely
@@bradhargis2261 it was not

Misha: lead guitar, producer, narrator. Good job Misha!
I love the narration/presentation style! Thanks for sharing this!
the clean part you played is so beautiful !
That All New Materials clean riff... It brings me back
Looks incredibly light.
And magicals.
i love it when he tests cleans on his guitars, almost always all new materials AH LUV ET!
It's such a perfect test riff for cleans!
It’s incredible how a well built guitar can make a tricky set of pickups sound beautiful. I don’t really like the aftermath because they are shrill and too harsh but here they sound unbelievable.
This is the most beautiful and most beautiful sounding guitar ever. Love the cleans :3
Wow, lets talk about that 'Crunch' tone. Jesus.....
Very nice
all new materials :3
I must say, this guitar is incredible in clean mode. Despite the pickup is BK of course. Awesome woodwork and wood pattern. Beautiful!
Super nice. Love the zebras in there. They match perfectly.
Amazing guitar ! Cant wait for you to showcase the jacksons!

Awesome video, looking forward for more declassified goodness
This is very cool! Answered a lot of questions about the great B2!
Awesome clear sound from this guitar
Very cool...not crazy about that headstock. The guitar sounds fantastic.
Can you make more of these? It’s been a couple years. I’d love to see more of your collection.
Got to play Pin's Blackmachine yesterday.
The hype is real, friends
Also, which font you've used in the "Blackmachine B2" thing? Looks great.
That's a beautiful instrument. Can I request more videos on recording?
holds in tone extremely well
So clean
Dat crunch tone. FUCKKKKKKK! Love it
OMG that clean neck was amazing

@@lmcf_gtr apparently some of his guitars are going for 10 grand now
Misha Mansoor did you make the intro music? It sounds beautiful. Is there like a full version of it?
I didn't even realize that was Misha until a minute into the video!
nice job! the guitar sounds amazing....
I dont usually like a guitar if i dont play it but that looks and plays beautifully.
Crunch gave me a good chuckle.
ohmygod-ohmygod-ohmygod
*frantically waves air towards face*
So.. Your B2 and Doug's one are like... Masamune & Muramasa! Holy shit, that's awesome.
can you do another video column like the djent set you did for guitar world in 2011? those videos were really inspirational and insightful and it would to be cool to see an updated version of that
holy balls. I want one of these!!! :D they are BEAUTIFUL!!!
Awesome! You should do your 6 string Custom Shop Jackson next!
How much does a B2 run for and what does it equate to in kidneys and bodily fluids?
Don't about its original price but I've seen price from 7500 USD to 15,000 USD - used one!
Couple of weeks ago one man sold b2 at 9500 USD
a kidney goes for $4000 and sperm banks pay $50 per donation
i have no idea why i looked that up, my search history looks pretty weird now
As far as i know kidneys can go up to $250,000 and a B2 second hand, which is the best you'll get, is about $7.5k to $25k
+asish subedi yeah fuck that lol I'm sure he does nice work and all but i don't buy into the whole tone wood and all that shit. 40 year old wood? would be nice on a violin but on a electric guitar it doesn't mean shit.
Daniel DeMayo well why don't other guitars with bareknuckle aftermaths into Axe Fx's sound anywhere near as good then?
Do you mix with that ironheart or you used live? I have that one! \m/
When are you gonna post any sound samples of your Skervesen? ;)
Man that guitar is beautiful. Cant wait to hear the Juggernauts in it! How much do these go for? It'd be cool if you tabbed out some of the licks and chord progressions you play
fantastic weapon of choice!!!
Beautiful
Is there video of Doug playing ?
crunch tone was unreal
is ormsby the same brand? has the same headstock and so many similaritys??
That intro made me think of The Last Of Us, then the t-shirt. Sounds ace btw.
Hey misha, whats the signal chain here? Guitar into..?
Does anybody know what the background song is at 3:40? I think it goes on from that point to end of the video.
Pls keep uploading videos!!!!
What song is he playing at 3:07?
Perfect intonation
Will you do another vid for b6?
what's the music in the intro man? sounds so cool
very beautiful instrument indeed :)
awesome guitar
I would give anything if I could get my distorted tone as smooth as that.
keep the vids coming buddy
This is so relaxing, haha
Whats the names for the songs you were playing for it?
This one might have been used in "Have a Blast" because it seems super similar tone-wise to the one he used there.
Alao "All New Materials" at 3:06 , just slowed down like hell.

Diggin the shirt, and the guitar off course :)
Jackson custom 6 with Hipshot bridge, shall be next.
Is there a name for that style of headstock?
Parker-style, ha ha...
Is that your Jackson next to you there?
I'm still waiting for more gear videos
Beautiful axe!
Misha you the best!
3:06 - The guitar is made of All New Materials.
His favorite guitar has different Woodson the neck but ,his Jackson only has maple , I can't imagine it was to keep costs down since his Jackson's are really expensive, plus basswood is the cheaper of the woods for a build and his favorite guitar has and expensive looking top.
his signature guitars are made for touring so he has maple necks to keep them stable in different climates and temperatures
my god what was the beautiful clean awesomeness playing as he went over specs?
must know lol
Is the action close?
so whats the neck made of?
I'm crying....
It still blows my mind that that guitar is somewhere in the realm of $10000 now
Is he ever going to start taking orders again?
Wheres the intro ambient music from?
It's a song he released on Soundclick called Lullaby.
Misha and morgan freeman voice collaboration!
this guitar is periphery's baby child when it comes to recording
skervy next! cuz i want to buy!!
Where you at....
yeah that classic doug so classic
Very cool story.
You used "declassified"! Nice!
2:30 that reverb is sick
Badass!
