I'm playing this at my university right now and I haven't been this excited or "pumped" coming out of just a rehearsal... Ever. It's by far my favorite piece I've played yet. (Trumpet 2)
Our baritone sax got the 4:44 part first time with all these weird timings... When he finished, everybody stopped and applauded him because it sounded so awesome :P
My old high school marching band played this piece as part of our 2018 show. Hearing it brings back memories of spinning my flag on the field✨

Beautiful.
the piano and the section after makes me feel happy...not sure why
Michael Davis Then you hear the third movement and the piano is terrifying
Does anyone know what band level this is? waffling between a 4-5. Can someone verify?
+Leclerc William Thanks
My teacher said it was a grade 6, but I'm not exactly sure. I would think a hard 5 or 6.
I prefer Husker Du’s “New Day Rising”
