I love this video and was very excited about it but could not get mine to work. I would have liked to have seen his actual formula for the Switch statement
I want to get rate from users then want to convert into that rate . how to do ? like if choosed INR then show INR value, if choose USD then pur rate from numeric range parameter and convert into USD using given rate , not manually put into table then convert
I have an interesting requirement by my client where I have a category slicers and based on selection a list of measures should be displayed. For example - If I choose "Sales" as category value from slicer, multiple sales related measures should be displayed and when I choose "Operations", multiple operational measures should be displayed. Any help here would be really great. Thanks in advance.
A few ways to do this. I'm sure I've seen a way with field parameters to make a selection and then change the measures displayed based on that. - Easiest / non-technical way would be with bookmarks and having different 'states'/filters appear. - Dynamic field parameters. I can't explain this all in a comment but should be possible.
This video is now outdated. Field parameters has been released which is a no code solution to switch measures in visuals. I’ve made this video showing how to do it with tables, but you can apply it any visual. ua-cam.com/video/WdTcj2jjk5I/v-deo.html

THX for your effort but i hope to explain how to make if statement and how to connect
I’ve got a video on IF statements. The video is called how to use conditional functions.
@@Transformita thx alot for your reply
Wouldn't using Field Parameters give you a similar result? Trying to find the easiest way to do this.
Yep, field parameters give the same result and are much easier to implement.
This videos is old, field parameters did not exist at the time.
@@Transformita Thank you for the clarification, it was a great video!!
where did "selected example" come from? very confused
