- Well I recently picked up this very cool antique Lasko Box fan and I figured I'd share it since it might be a little while before I actually get around to cleaning and servicing it! Hope you Enjoy!
Check out Jordan U Here:

Absolute dream fan. I believe this may be the ultimate box fan, correct me if I’m wrong.
You are darn right about that! I don't its the ULTIMATE box fan, but it's definitely pretty high up there in the rankings for sure! Thanks for Watching!
@@colin_5839 what would you consider the ultimate box fan? ILG box fan?
Honestly not sure, but this one is definitely up there. I'd say my LAU ultra 20 is too probably
That’s one tank of a fan! The oscillating louvers are really neat. Pretty cool that you and Jordan each found one!
It sure is! Yea it's definitely unique! It was funny how that worked out lol! That doesn't happen often! Thanks for Watching!
I never seen a Lasko 2 speed Box fan with Oscillation feature they're pretty neat I absolutely love the start-up sound from the motor
I don't think these are very common fans so that's probably why lol! It sure is neat! I love the startup sound as well! Thanks for Watching Luis!
That's one hell of a fan! Never seen an oscillating box fan, or even one with reverse! That's certainly a keeper compared to the crap they sell nowadays. I've been driving garbage trucks for close to a year now and I've spotted quite a few newer Laskos in people's trash, it's pretty sad honestly.
Sure is! They aren't very common! Lots of the more deluxe models of box fans had reverse and thermostats but as far as I know Lasko was the only one to make an oscillating box fan! Ohh its 100% a keeper! I love the thing! And yes those modern laskos are total CRAP! I see them all the time in the trash as well. Such a shame that their product quality has dropped so much across the last 60 years :( Thanks for watching!
I enjoy watching Jordan U and especially his fan repairs! He’s very good at fixing fans repairing them compare to other UA-camrs. Your also very good at it too.
Also funny when Jordan U says FAEN LOL!!
He is a good youtuber and a handy guy! He does have fun ways of pronouncing things lol! I do use some of them occasionally! :) Thanks for Watching!
@@colin_5839 I know Jaykay18 is one person who produces it as FAEN LOL!! Jordan U makes a lot of videos compare to anyone else of servicing fans
So cool. You need to clean that bad boy up and restore it.
Thanks! I plan on giving it a good cleaning and service, but the original paint is way too nice to restore it! Going to leave it just as it is! Thanks for Watching!
@@colin_5839 agree about that paint. Classic.
Loving the startup sound wow Collin they don't fans like they use to those days are over awesome video and I enjoyed it I will have the 18" TPI fan coming soon with the oil port motor same as Jordan u
You got that right! That's for darn sure lol! This thing would probably outlast me the way it sits! I also like the startup sound on this thing! Seems like a real piece of machinery that's actually doing to do work rather than a vibrating plastic, energy consuming noise maker lol!See I told you vintage fans don't have to be expensive! I don't even think you can get a modern Lasko POS for 20 bucks lol! Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for Watching!
@@colin_5839 LOL You are so funny lol what do you think about the tpi 18" with the oil ports ? and your welcome for me watching lol
@@LemontTheFanMan I think that the TPI fans are probably some of the last decent fans left, but the problem is that they are industrial high velocity fans and are really expensive and loud so most people won't buy them and they still suffer from several of the pitfalls of modern fans
@@colin_5839 wow that's good to know i didn't even that. due being loud and scuffing but it dose have the oil ports going for them which you don't see on any fan anymore these days .. wish they would bring it back at least with the 18 tpi it will out last the rest of my 18s lol
I’ve never heard of an oscillating box fan! Great video!
They certainly aren't the most common fans out there! Thanks for Watching Sam!
super cool fan man. These things are incredible!
Thanks! They sure are lol! Thanks for Watching!
Wow a really well made box fan with metal blades! This is a real fan rather then the cheap 3733 fans today
You sure got that right! Thanks for Watching!
Awesome!
Thanks!
@@colin_5839 more or less “Thanks Matt” lol
I can hardly remember my own name so don't expect me to remember what your actual name is when your username is different lol!
When is the service video
Yeah this is one I just haven't gotten around to yet. I have sooooo many projects waiting and constantly have new ones rolling in so sometimes it takes me a bit to get around to some of the other ones. Not that I've lost interest in this fan, I've just found some more interesting stuff to work on recently.... Thanks for Watching!
I think the earlier 3733s were pretty good until they totally cheapened them out in the mid 2000s
Yes that is true, but even the older ones are total junk when compared to something like this lol! Thanks for Watching Bobby!
@@colin_5839 oh most definitely yes and no problem I enjoy watching your videos
Glad you enjoy! : )
Very cool video Colin! Jordan had just made a video of a lasko box fan just like this a few days ago , these are probably one of the more uncommon fans, but these are definitely better than the ones that are built and sold in stores today , Westinghouse motors are some of the best fan motors in opinion , they have best start up sounds and lubrication, but the start up sound on this thing is very similar to my big wizard , good work and look forward to seeing more of your videos , oh and by the way , I have uploaded more videos to my channel if your interested hopefully they shouldn't be as longs as a few of my others lol, but go check them out if your interested, God bless ☺️👍!
WOOHOO! Finally out of the spam box lol! Thanks Steve! I think you are correct about these being rather uncommon! I haven't seen many of them! You're damn right they're better than today's crap! This thing could probably outlast me the way it sits! I think this is the first fan I have with a westinghouse motor, besides the lack of oil ports it seems pretty good, but I do know that not all of them are. Some of their motors in their own fans are prone to burning out. There will definitely be more videos on the way so stay tuned! Thanks for Watching Steve!
@@colin_5839 No problem, thanks for the feedback Colin , I did post comments on the previous videos that made , but I guessed that stupid ass spam box got in the way, and there are other people here on UA-cam who are experiencing the same problem and there tired of it , anyway nice find on the big lasko definitely better than the lousy crap being produced today , well not all of them , but it's the motors in these older fans let alone the structure of them of why the lasted so long and why they work so good, but I already know that my last comments didn't get to you before , but we were talking about some of the people who were here on UA-cam before and some of them just disappeared , though there were some UA-camrs particularly the fan guys of course, that I actually liked and still have a lot of there videos on another phone the downloaded going as far back to 2014 , but did you ever know what happens to them , the only one who name I remember is Ben Higgins, and there's Retro Chad , and another fellow UA-camr had recently informed me that he was no longer UA-cam, but do you know anything about these guys ?
I've been checking the spam box regularly since this started happening and haven't seen much tbh. I remember those guys as well. I believe Ben Higgins dissapeared a long ways back. All the videos just suddenly dissapeared and havent seen from since. I remember Retro Chad as well, but I didn't follow him closely. Is he gone now as well?
@@colin_5839 From what sources have told me not too long ago yes, I posted a comment on his channel several months back , there was no response so I kind of just moved on and forgot all about it , but then on my other account someone saw my comment and that's when I knew retro Chad was gone , I'm not sure why , but maybe it was none of my business to ask lol, as for Ben Higgins I knew he wasn't available on UA-cam anymore either , I don't know what his situation was but when he left he literally took everything with him , but the funny thing is that retro chads videos are still available right here UA-cam , I think it's kind of ominous if you ask me , but I was sorry to see them and a few others go because I really like there work and videos , I'm sure others were asking the same thing about them , well other than that, thank you for checking out my new videos and I'll be on the lookout for more of yours , God bless you and have a good night 👍☺️.
whooowee, finally a real man, thank you sir,i just could kisss you
i am not a big fan of jordan,i just watch his videos,
i never knew box fans could oscillate, and that motor is BEEFYY
and please get rid of these spammers
good job on the video
hows the dodge doing?
Jordan's channel is part of what made me decide to start making fan videos in the first place! He's a good guy, not sure what there is to dislike about him lol. Well know you know! And yes, the motor is actually a decent size, unlike today's junk! I am fortunate to actually have no spammers in my comments so I'm not sure what you are talking about there... Dodge is doing great! Going to make an update video on it soon. Thanks for Watching Suresh!
@@colin_5839 yeah,I'm just misunderstanding stuff I guess.glad to hear that the dodge is doing well
Dont worry about spammers here, unlike Jordan I remove them as soon as I see them and don't rely on my viewers to deal with them ( And nor do I want them to do anything either lol)
There are no spammers on this channel............
