I was fortunate to have two visits to the Chinery Collection and was able to play the Blue Guitars (they were still blue). Chinery had died a year or two before my visits. My friend who set up the visits and I had a free hand to check out any guitar we wanted, and the curator was available to assist us in finding them in the stash. I'll never forget it.
I saw this display at the Smithsonian and it was amazing. Got to know Bill Collings around that time as well. Still have a Collings flat top guitar that I cherish.

Oh my gosh, Chinery's collection was one of my first inspirations as a builder. I had no idea a video existed comparing the tones. This is so cool

Linda and Tom's sound the best to me... understanding how this was done and with a cellphone mic.
Beautiful, delicate, of fine wood, made by the hands of true gods. The elite of the guitars. High class guitars 👍
Campellone
Gibson
Monteleone
Zeidler...
they still give me a guitarboner
I own a Campallone, love it
