The first trooper should NEVER have entered the vehicle while it was moving. This is VERY bad tactics. There is a very low rate of success. These incidents always end horribly. I disagree with awards for arrests rather than convictions. There are more than a few erroneous arrests. Convictions are commendable. Arrests may reward sloppy police actions. Having said that, it is clear in this case that the DA's office is usually just interested in convicting the most convenient subject rather than pursuing actual justice. Remember, Minnesota (where I grew up) is all Democrats all the time.
make it a law in sll states that LEO must give their name, badge number, and reason for contact/stop BEFORE they request ID. did all of the dwi citations result in positive blood tests and convictions or were they for the amount of tickets he wrote with or without cerification?

I wouldn't want to be a police officer anywhere these days!!! No one respects them and like this man said I wouldn't want to do it either bc they don't know if they will come home that night. Either bc they will lose their life or lose it to prison because they were doing their job. Regardless of the dumb ass comments saying they don t protect and serve. Tell that to the 4 officers families in Charlotte that died serving a warrant a month ago. Amongst many others. I know this is 'off topic', but they definitely shouldn't be giving out awards for the number of arrests a deputy makes. Arresting people is NOT A GAME. Especially DUI arrests (very subjective - unless they take a blood, breath, or urine test). Giving it awards gives police a reason to arrest people they normally wouldn't have. It is totally crazy.

This attorneys dedications to his job is as morally right as much as the dedication of his client! Plus, theres absolutely NO DOUBT his client did his job in which his own record proves he's almost over qualified for. Maybe he needs to become an FBI AGENT, work for an organization that pays up to 5 times the $$$$$ he's actually worth!!! I'm getting so sick and tired of people calling evey whit officer a racist when they come in contact with a black motorist. Look, this guy was a bad man, period. Also, the DA needs to be investigated, not to mention the fact that the News media constantly shows criminals in pictures portraying them as Saints. Show the pictures that he post on social media, that will give true insight on who they really are.
The first trooper should NEVER have entered the vehicle while it was moving. This is VERY bad tactics. There is a very low rate of success. These incidents always end horribly.
I disagree with awards for arrests rather than convictions. There are more than a few erroneous arrests. Convictions are commendable. Arrests may reward sloppy police actions.
Having said that, it is clear in this case that the DA's office is usually just interested in convicting the most convenient subject rather than pursuing actual justice.
Remember, Minnesota (where I grew up) is all Democrats all the time.

Noy one time in that video dod the trooper say you are under arrest so he is lyimg that they told him he was under arrest. There should have been no reason to open the door. And the trooper was irresponsible for firing a firearm on this because he could have shot the trooper to. There was no reason to shoot the man. The troopers instigated the istadent .
