I came across a bottle of Veuve Clicquot at work a few years ago and thought it was a dark name for a champagne. Lol! I looked into it and read about her story and was very impressed. I'm delighted that a movie was made of her story!
When she said she wants her champagne to have "structure and depth" she was talking about their Pinot Noir, which the film also depicted here prominently. Today, champagnes of Veuve Clicquot are still Pinot Noir-dominated.
