They think they own Bangalore. We are the real owners of Bangalore and we don't like it that it has become full of outsiders. I am a kannadiga and i am against this quota. In private sector, it is your merit which is counted. If we have to move forward as one nation, we should respect each other. This will happen only when population migrates. The way many people come from other states we as kannadigas also have migrated to other states. This is just to divide the population and spoil the whole country. There is a proverb in Kannada koopa mandooka, this policy is just this. We as people should strongly voice against this.

First he has to be up-skilled about economic activity. And incubation Centers should be created to train ministers about accountability of school systems they are funding and economic activity of each person living in various parts of state and how much taxes they pay just living in the state.

There is a fundamental flaw I feel in one of the main argument: Putting a bill to have only state residents in govt or private job is considered to serve the political purpose, then you are saying that majority people of the state wants that. Otherwise how is political purpose of stunt successful. People of Karnataka if voted for this that means they want this. Same goes with Haryana or Maharashtra.
So practically the fault lies in the mentality of our people not with politicians. They are supposed to do politics and are succeeding.

I acknowledge Kannada culture but I refuse to be forced to learn it. If I am not forced then I will go ahead and learn it out of the inquisitiveness of finding out the gems hidden inside the books and culture. No babu is going to decide whether I am going to be employed in bangalore and then with his stinky breath and fat belly ask me to shell out another bribe along with all the other bribes I have to pay for, for eg., rto, bbmp, traffic cops, to cops for filing an fir, to the government babu who ask for money for attesting. This government even surpassed my bar by taking bribes from water tankers. So for all I care, for me, my respect is for Kannadigas but just as they don't like it when they are forced into something, nor do I. A green eyed bill against the people who work in Bangalore is neither doing any service for the kannadigas or Kannada nor will it be of any use to Bangloreans. 20% of state gdp comes from IT alone and this is leaving out the ITES, ancillary bussiness, sustenance and transportation as well as real estate. Even wanting to pass this bill puts the government in a suspect position. They have not taken back the bill but merely shelved it till it rears its ugly head in the background of linguistic terrorism and activism which is already prevalent in Bangalore and rest of Karnataka. Unfortunately, the people of Karnataka, whom I respect and count myself among, must not allow this government to tear us apart for votes. Even if the government t had brought the bill and passed it, it would have been thrown out by the courts. All this government wanted to do was to have done the drama, told kannadigas that they had been stabbed by the courts and then went ahead and started architecture their new evil designs. Disgusting. They pitch us common folks at each other and we like fools (me included) jump in and say and do unthinkable things with just the excuse of what we love and are passionate about in this case the language Kannada. By the way, I am a bengali who speaks 6 languages, writes 4 of them amd does not know how to write in bengali but tried learning Kannada at a basic level at the age of 40 and failed to make much success as much as my effort to learn bengali at this age because at my age I have just lost the ability to learn anything. I still forget the way home from office and use Google maps. The twisted roads that make up bengali and Kannada are way more complicated but fortunately better understood by AI translator apps.

Its a foolish idea, instead of doing upskilling the people for competent jobs. The state govt. can establish more employed organizations instead of loosing the state income. Once they loose the companies to other state, its highly difficult to bring them back. Don't loose the well established name for KA with multi cultured state, just for political sustainability.
This bill speaks for rights of land-born people of the state. This bill doesn’t say others haven’t contributed for the growth of Bangalore. Why making nonsense news out of the bill which means otherwise. Every state should do well in order to build great nation. It’s not just one state’s responsibility to pull off anything. Every state’s local have rights to do jobs in their own state. What’s wrong in it? You guys are seeing from outside and speaking about your problems. Nobody is understanding the inside problem of the state. Inside Kannada speaking state a locality hears other languages than Kannada in a day. Tamil management favors Tamil people, Telugu management favors Telugu people similarly north as well. And everyday thousands come from outside to reside in Bangalore. How much should a city facilitate outsiders. Isn’t there a limit to that? Yes India is democratic but it doesn’t mean to take away the language, culture, jobs from the visiting state. A district belonging to Karnataka should feel like it belongs to Karnataka.shouldnt feel like foreign state to the localities. That’s the minimum rights deserved by localities. Same applies to every state. Hearing these criticisms makes us feel that other states are incompetent to nurture industries and investments, which is not true and everyone are competent. Industrialists who earn well can’t understand the pain of people born in their own land. If people are crying over this bill they should really think more of the place they are making money than being just selfish.
Every states are having migrants from other states. I know many Kannadiga's who have migrated to other states like Maharashtra and to other countries as well. As per your logic they shouldn't have done that and stayed in Karnataka only 😀. I think you guys are incompetent enough to get jobs and hence supporting these fascist laws
