The Alberta Administrative Licence Suspension Program (AALS) imposes an immediate license suspension on drivers who have been charged with impaired driving or a DUI.
Once charged, you will receive an immediate 90-day suspension. You will also be required to participate in the ignition interlock system for one year. If you do not participate in the ignition interlock system, you will not be allowed to drive for a total of 15 months.
