Very stoked to talk about the new KayFun Lite FINALLY! When it comes down to it, this is an awesome KayFun. As I said in the video, it's kind of everything I wanted a new KayFun to be. MTL joy using this thing and it has that KayFun flavor that i've grown to love.
They are pricey, but if you have the cash, I don't think you can find a better more satisfying mouth to lung RTA anywhere.

Thank you for the review, Nick. Fun fact: The concave base actually also prevents e-liquid from escaping when you refill. And you don't have to remove the atty from your mod to refill it. Just press your thumb against the knurling at the base, flip the whole thing upside down and unscrew the tank. :) Try it!

Agree 100%! Use it exessively all day with only 2ml capacity and refill once a day,no problem.
Need a 2nd one .Very nice video,last to mention is,that Svoemesto had issues with tolerances at the vinyl screw U use to set the phenomenal airflow.So they put a 2nd one in the accessorie bag.If the Lite is leaking or gurgling you have to change it.
I had no issues and am fully satisfied,it's worth every cent.

Very good point about the wicking, I'm reckon that those people complaining about crackling/gurgling have too tight an angle which pulls the wick away and reduces the tension on the upper coil. Another, maybe easier, way to do it is to just stuff the wick in the wells as usual and then tease it up a bit with a needle or tweezers, so it isn't pulling on the coil. This RTA system is particulary good for vaping naturally extracted tobaccos (NETs), which make short work of coils and it hardly ever leaks even when the coil is gunged up, which happens much more quickly with NETs, since they have a lot of fine particles which settle on the coil.

Ummm, Dude! You forgot the airflow control portion Grimmster. Also, might have been better to show how it comes stock rather than with the add-on accessories you're using. Or at least an explanation of stock configuration and accessories. Non-the-less, good vid. Been loving my 22mm (Yeah, 22mm all day everyday Lol) from the first batch release.

Wow! 90$ I’m pleasantly surprised 😯, I was expecting maybe 120$ or more. I’ve never owned a Kayfun tank and over the 6 years I’ve been vaping I always hear about them. Absolutely gonna get one for my collection.
Just picked up a Kayfun Lite Plus from 2014 as my first MTL. I'm a round wire mech guy and this thing has phenomenal flavor for how cool of a vapor it produces.

I honestly gotta wonder, with all the new MTL stuff out now, Berserker, Anani, Glaz Mini, Expromizer, Aries from Innokin, is a Kayfun still a better vape? I need to find a cheap Kayfun Lite somewhere and build on it. I have a ton of MTL stuff but no Kayfun. I wanna own a Kayfun at some point but couldn't justify the cost. Right now I'm rocking the Glaz Mini in 5ml mode and it's doing just fine. Sure it doesn't look like a Kayfunsky but it doesn't need to.
Either way love your enthusiasm for this tank and I can totally get that. I'm like that about my Arromamizer Plus tank. One of the best direct lung RTA's ever IMO.

Can't really say anything about the other ones as I haven't used them, but the 2019 Lite definitely is a better vape than the Berserker in my books.

Pro tip on unscrewing the base. Take a rubber band and wrap it around the base. This provides just enough grip to loosen.

Solid review man. Have you had any issues with leaking through the teflon airflow adjust screw in the 510? Myself and quite a few people seem to be having that issue along with stripping/snapping deck screws. Still produces a really tasty vape though.
Love my Kayfun Mini V3. Using the same 1.1ohm build as i do in my rebuildable pod device, which is 28guage Kanthal A1, 7wraps, 1mm ID. Battery lasts a LONG time when you only need 20 watts MAX, and with this build, i can use 20-30mg nicotine, for a pretty decent throat hit :P

my mouth to lung stuff gets like that in about 1-2 weeks. Ive noticed mtl stuff gets your cotton dark much faster.

Hei Grimm. I know it's kinda late however I was wondering... When will you pick an expromizer v4 tank to compare with the kayfun. For me the flavor is on par however the expromizer wins with better th. Just think about it.
I'm very curious what GRIMMGREEN has to say about the Kayfun lite 2021 upgrade. I just bought the upgrade. I mounted it, I also bought the mtl pro pin. I mean, I used it for about 2-3 days and I didn't like it. It seems to taste a little more but it doesn't have throathite anymore. I mounted the 2019 deck back and it was as if I took God by the feet :)) maybe I couldn't handle the airflow ... I would appreciate a future review of this upgrade. Thanks
Completely agree with this. The KFL 2019 is the best vape I've ever had,and stands with the OG KFL, Prime and Mini V3.
After I spent a small fortune on the Kayfun 4 and was HUGELY disappointed, I will never spend another dollar on another Kayfun product. Great video though!
I get that. The Kayfun V4 was a bit "over engineered" and really pricey. We have learned a lot since then and our products have become way less complex, less expensive and more reliable. Don't take my word for it, ask anyone who has bought one of our recent products since the Kayfun Mini V3. Maybe one day you'll overcome the trauma caused by the V4 and give us another chance. ;)

Ok after using other cheaper MTL tanks I am ready for my first Kayfun! Yeah I have Kayfun 4 got used as a gift but it has so many complicated parts it never gets used. Hmm now what mod is worthy of having this lovely tank on top? Dicodes?

I just ditched ALL my sub ohm and pods and pulled out my MVP20W and Nautilus Mini from 12 or 2013 and it's so much better for now.

I did hear him say he likes it wide open so I'm surmising he knows it's adjustable. That said, you're correct, he didn't mention how to adjust it for those who may want to.
I own a Kayfun Lite and the V5 version -- because I prefer MTL vaping, but for the life of me, I just can't get the hang of creating and wicking my coils. I waste too much of my wire and cotton and ready to give up on this vaping thing.... truthfully! I wish someone would create a MTL like the Kayfun that provided people with premade coils/wicks so all we have to do is plop it into the deck and enjoy our vaping.

I'm about to order the extension for the kayfun lite 24mm soon along with my fave juice before site will no longer mail anything. I just can't decide between the fire or ice glass. I like the fire cuz it's that orangey/redish combo, but still clear. It looks alot better than the ultim that mine came with.

I'm using a kayfun lite '19 rta set at a fairly loose MTL draw. Built at .7ohms.
On a Cthulhu tube using a 3.7v 18650.
I like to use around 3mg freebase+ 9mg nic salts mix.
What would you say is my ideal vg/PG ratio for cotton longevity and ideal wicking?
Would you have any others tips for things I could tweek for a better all round experience?

You don’t even have to screw the thing tight together. Mine is allways about a quarter turn "open" and I can open it very easily. Doesn’t leak.
Thanks for the review Nick! I miss my Kayfun. Only complaint I have is...it's 2019 and they're still charging WAY too much for it. $90-$100 USD is a lot of scratch for something that's basically 6+ years old...
It costs what it costs because of limited production, and quality control etc, the prices won`t be changing ;)
Oh, keep in mind that there are new Svöemesto products coming out periodically, and designing and testing items like this is more time consuming than some Geekvape tank made in 7 digit numbers..
It`s just like any other high end with limited production and better materials combined with presicion machining, it means waiting lists and high prices..

I must be such a noob. I mean I totally get the tank fetish thing but this just seems like too much trouble. Yes, it is a pretty tank and I can only imagine the flavor but I think I'll keep on DTL'ing my Falcon King. To each their own. Love the channel and the reviews man.
Totally understandable! Imo it doesn't matter how you vape or what you vape, so long as you aren't smoking cigarettes you're good. If your Falcon King satisfies, then it's doing its job.
I still rock a five pawn kayfun lite, and I gotta say, I might love that one.

I never did get the original Kayfun Lite, but I've been having a pretty solid experience with the Mini V3 and have a Prime on order. Given how much praise the Lite has gotten over the years and is now getting in 2019, I'm wondering if I made the wrong choice on getting the Prime.
I have not tried the Prime yet, but saw 2 reviewers claiming that if you have the Prime, you don't need the Lite. But I already bought the Lite and now I have to wonder if I should get the Prime too? 😄

Hey, Nick! Do you have any suggestion for a minimalist mod that does good with Kayfun(s)? Just a straight wattage mod and single 18650 would do good. I definitely want it, but that bottom-fill really bugs me. It's 2019... I figured the era of bottom-fill was over. I don't know whether or not it's a deal-breaker for me, yet.
Also... in terms of Kayfuns, isn't this on the cheaper end?
Subjectively speaking, the benefits of bottom fill outweigh the cons that I deal with.

I've never actually owned a MTL tank or device except my first attempt at vaping which was a rechargable e-cig from the gas station which wasn't the greatest thing so my buddy gave me his Sigelei 200 Watt and a Crown 2? Tank might of been the original Crown tank but it was a great sub ohm tank

I had a 25mm way back.. Kayfun Quartz? it leaked terrible due to the extra surface area..
What wire did you put in this? And was that a contact coil? Do you still get a throat hit from 12mg? #ballsackspine

Topfill is coming from two company's steam tuners and signature tips. Steam tuners one looks better
Grimm (or how do I call you?), if you tighten the upper parts of the Lite (topcap, window, bell / chimney) really (!) tight and make sure that the lower o-ring on the deck is lubed nicely, you will be able to grab onto the whole tank while unscrewing. Since I do so, refilling is no hassle at all. (When you'll install that dome-cap you are waiting for, you might even want to tighten it with the help of a tweezer.)

gushfest incoming. lol funny how this was released right after you were talking about wanting an updated version. kinda came out of nowhere. the bottom fill would not bother me one bit. if that's the price you have to pay for perfection, then pay up i would. that build could go another 100k miles LOL. idk why the smaller builds gunk up so fast. obviously the sweeteners in liquids don't help. i must say, for such a simple design, the quality shines through. this isn't always true, but with the kayfuns, you can literally see the depth of quality. i concur completely, the tank is handsome, gorgeous, etc. whatever. insert descriptive terminology here. kudos for the liquids overlay lol. seriously jealous over here. truly been wanting a good mtl tank, and this banger has to be #booshworthy af. i know this will fetch an astonishingly high price, but damn, can you put a price tag on quality?! very nice intricately crafted tank... i mean review Nick. thanks bro!! :D

Kayfuns helped me kick smoking in 2012 and go on a mod building business bonanza and also helped me kick kayfuns I wont miss dry hits leaky airflow screws single coils and bottom fill and wonky chimney's and builds but it does get an honorable mention in helping me quit Cigs and at the time and still today was and is beautiful machining, I may revisit the 4 I have but probably not. Svoe needs to modernize and get with the program because nostalgia is probably reflective in kayfun's lack of sales
Been using orchid (basicly a kayfun) with bell cap. And I allways wanted to drill a hole in the top to make it a topfilling tank. The hole should go in the driptiphole at the side, so the driptip o-ring would seal the hole. But I never bothered..

@GrimmGreen How do I tell if the airflow is fully open on the Kayfun Lite 2019. I just built and cannot see in the airflow hole and cannot see if the afc plug is closing it. Also do you need the afc plug in the 510 pin?
Kayfun Lite Plus didn't come out until late 2013-early 2014, so how did you have one in 2010?

How often do you have to rebuild and re-wick it? And which mod at what wattage matches it best?
Due to condensation on the chimney touching the wicks it can get fouled pretty quickly with sweet liquids.
14 to 20 watts is a good place to be, the mod you use makes no difference.
Berserker 1.5 RTA looks much more badass imo. I saw a lot of reviewers calling it the best budget MTL device. Would be cool to see you do a comparison or just a standalone review:)
I'm no GrimmGreen from GrimmGreen.com but I can weigh in some on the berserker 1.5. Preface: I don't have the mini, but rather the full size.
It's a pretty sick rta, especially for the price. Flavor is good, not great, but good. I think if they went for 3 ~1mm airholes rather than a slot in the deck it would help some. Airflow is very smooth despite that complaint. Your air holes are (if memory serves) the exact same size as the OG nautilus.
It's pretty simple to build, no real dramas as far as building goes. Just the same goes for wicking. So long as they're cut short enough and not overly dense wicking should give you 0 issues.
Hoping Nick weighs in on the matter though, I would have figured he'd be really into the berserker

after vaping for years on kayfun v3 mini i did the "mistake" to buy an ares mtl eu version for backup ... now i simply cant vape my kayfun anymore .. Althought ares has no liquid flow control and also sometimes split juice from the top filling cap, the taste i get and the overall quality , smoothness and satisfaction of the air flow is unbeatable .. for me ares is the best mtl by far ... i dont really understand at 2019 the reason of reproduction the kayfun lite .. this atomizer has the same small and poor design deck as my old V3 mini which means very limited options on coils , it is bottom filled while my V3 was not , it has no liquid flow control like V3 and the airflow is adjustable from a bottom screw like V3 and even this screw now is plastic !!! a plastic screw for such expensive tank ??? are you serious ??? there is ares and also a few other tanks out there that taste , perform and look better than kayfun for the third of a price ...
I've never been more unimpressed with a tank than I have with a kayfun. They just aren't anything special to me.

I've tried so many mtl rtas and nothing even comes close to the Cthulhu Hastur mini. This might be"better" but can't be by much
There r top fill caps for this available if its really that big of an issue for anyone. They still keep it short in stature and that clean look. Its not a big deal to me but I started out on bottom fill tanks.

This tank is amazing as far as MTL Vaping goes! Out of the Kayfun tanks I've owned: Kayfun 3, 4 and 5. The Kayfun 5 is still the best they've made (in my opinion) you have more options with the 5, perfect MTL and restricted direct lung (for me) I know Svoemesto wanted to give the Lite a modern rebirth and they definitely succeeded but bottom fill in 2019! Really? That's a big con in my opinion! In my opinion if you have the Kayfun 5, I wouldn't bother with this version!

How would compare this with the goblin mini rta? I have one and that's my go to mtl but I find I dont use it as much anymore. I just got a simple ex squonker for mtl stealth vaping on order.
i have a goblin and i dont think i can really call it an mtl tank ... kayfun has way more tight and restricted airflow than goblin and i dont think it will suit the way you vape .. try some more airy mtl tanks first before you buy one ..
