I remember what it was like not knowing how to solder. Changing out pickups and wiring repairs meant getting help from somebody else. Would have been nice if I had this option back then.
Though I enjoy soldering, I certainly agree that it can be intimidating and should not be carried out if you have not had suitable training/experience with it. These push/pull kits look like a great alternative and make big, electronics changes accessible to many more people :-)
EDIT JIMMY KIT ENTRY: Whack Spotted. Ha 😅 I'd put the Jimmy kit in an 81 Greco LP copy that has microphonic pickups. It'd give me motivation to have them waxed whilst fitting the kit. I do like being able to yell into the pickups, though 😂.

If I win this Kit I will replace the wiring in my old Les Paul which is still my favorite guitar.

Are those pickups 4-cable?
@@MaxRossell I bet they're not, y'know. I MIGHT need to get some Pearly new PUPS too.
I would but it into my project guitar to resurrect it after it died a death due to my poor wiring
I hate that over here it's pronounced SODDERING. UGH.

It changed in the 15th century...
@@detroitfunk313 I'll look it up "next time". Promise.
