Graduation is the third studio album from Chicago rapper Kanye West. The album was inspired by stadium tours, indie rock and house-music and was a huge departure from the sound Ye had used on his first two studio albums The College Dropout and Late Registration which featured samples and inspirations from soul and orchestral music. This album, on the other hand, included a much more electronic sound, featuring the use of layering synthesizers. Lyrically, Kanye analyzes himself and talks about his life after becoming famous and how he is criticized from the media.

It truly gets me every time. I do not know how kanye made such an incredible song. In my opinion it is a perfect song. The intro is everything. I agree a beautiful masterpiece by Mr. West

the common theme among Kanye haters is two obvious things.
1. They simply can't command the brainpower to separate what some news story says about Kanye with the actual music itself
2. And too they are just stuck in their ways to like any music that takes risks in the genre and just always listen to the "old stuff"
I'm gonna stop you right there if you are putting me in that box. First of all, I specifically said I am focusing on the music itself and not what he says or does in the public and how the media portrays him. Considering the media tends to exaggerate things quite a bit.
Secondly, I listen to a wide variety of music across several genres. Hip-hop is the one genre that I am not as well versed in, but I'm excited to listen to more of it.
I'm sure it takes a lot of brainpower to create false notions, so don't hurt yourself too much 😉

@@khromatic22 really depends on the mood. This album is great for how it can resonate with you on multiple levels. Of course, Flashing lights and I wonder are beautiful tracks. Stronger makes your body move. Everything I am is so underrated tho. It is chill and meaningful, so I love it as well
YESSSSS! Everything I am is one of my favorites from the album it used to be one of my favorite Kanye songs period the vibes from it are immaculate and the lyrics and meaning is deeper and more personal than a lot of the other songs on the album. It doesn’t get the recognition it deserves.

@@khromatic22 I would definitely go with Fantasy next. Grad and Fantasy are great as inductory albums. Then go in to late 808s and stuff like that. (though fantasy is pretty intellectual 😉)

So good the way he’s explaining that wants to talk to people but feels like he can’t and than when he does try to talk about things than he delivers that line is hard
