stronger ‘reminds you of a daft punk song’ because it is a sample of ‘harder, better, faster, stronger’ by daft punk he just took the acapella vocals
He actually didn't use the acapella version, at the time he didn't know there was a acapella version
And Daft Punk also appear in the music video!
Wendy is him referring to Chicago, which has the nickname 'The Windy City'.
Great reaction!
he says windy
When he went to have his photos taken for the cover of college dropout, the school he was at had a random bear costume in storage(mascot probably) and he put it on on a whim. Then he just ran with the bear theme from there.
Kanye is so random but I love it 😂
Where u see this? I believe u just curious
I thought it was because his mom gave him a bear as a kid that he loved?
homecoming is about the city of chicago - the windy (wendy) city
Yoo that makes so much more sense now. Blowing trees sounds way better with this context😂
Barry bonds is the all time home runs leader in baseball
That voice on Good Morning is actually a hidden Jay Z feature
In homecoming, wendy is Chicago (the windy city, likes to blow trees) hes rapping about his city that he moved to when he was three yrs old. Lots of double entendres and word play in that song, but its about his relationship with Chicago
This album and dark twisted fantasy are some of Kanye’s finest albums as a whole. even tho he got other bangers on other albums, these albums were just fucking landmark in their generational impact.
Love this stuff man 😁love seeing you enjoy this
Dude, really enjoying the videos, I can see you and your personality going way past reaction videos. keep it up!
Graduation probably has the best use of samples of all time, the way it's incorporated in the production is truely masterful.
Bro you should watch the Kanye sample breakdowns for all the albums you’ve reacted to so far!!! That would be so dope
Probably my favourite of the college trilogy. He made more stadium sounding tracks that you can just see being sang by 40,000 people at a concert.
Barry Bonds was one of the greatest baseball players of all time. Also Drunk and Hot Girls is incredible. It ended up just being perpetuated by mob mentality to hate the song. It is a great way of showing you Kanye's dark side of his mind once he gets fame.
Late Registration is the best imo
Late Registration, College Dropout, and Graduation are all debatable. Any one of them can be #1 Kanye, same with Yeezus and MBDTF. Those 5 albums are pretty much able to go anywhere and its a valid list
I’ve watched a few of these and I have to say that I’m suuuuuper curious about your background because I feel like we’re a similar age but a lot of these references were going over your head so I was like, “DAMN” 😂😂😂
For me, these first 3 Kanye albums (and hip-hop in general) are some of the first music I actively remember listening to since I was like 5 because my dad played them all the time in the car~
I know you mentioned that you lived in Africa for a few years so maybe that’s where the disconnect on a lot of these cultural references and wordplay that are most of the time uniquely Black American. That’s cool tho cuz finally catching on and putting the lyrics + context + samples together is honestly the best part of this music genre~ I hope you’re having fun dissecting everything!
I’m sure someone has mentioned it already but he has a docu series on Netflix that covers a lot of his life over these first 3 albums and would be a good look into understanding the evolution of this trilogy and kinda how he kinda ended up being um…whatever he is now….
P.S.
I was about to finish and I remembered that there’s actually a great podcast called Dissect that breaks down albums song by song and they really get into historical(?) context, lyrics, music theory, and production. They’ve covered a lot of my favorite hip-hop albums including To Pimp A Butterfly. If you’re interested, you should definitely check them out!
Drunk n hot girls is the most underrated song,it's a precursor to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.I think ppl just love to hate it cuz they take it too seriously
Great reaction bro keep it up 💯
Good nights a bonus track, it was only added to streaming recently
Ok that makes sense. It really felt like big brother was the real final track
Great video you deserve more!
I used to work at FedEx too as a package handler 😂 first job I ever got and it was when I turned 18, it was a lot of hard work and I hated it too but the managers were great, they would always bring food and let us use headphones, don’t know if your experience is similar or not😂 also can’t wait for the future kanye album reactions! Ye and mbdtf are two of my favorite albums of all time
Y’all got to wear headphones and got FOOD??!
@@justdatboie yea I heard morning shifts were horrible tho, they made you turn in your phones and you couldn’t listen to bay music but I worked afternoons, they didn’t care if we wore headphones they only told us not to wear them when we had higher ups come to watch us for a day 😂, they would bring burritos, pizza, and sandwhiches, donuts, cupcakes. I thought all fedex’s were like that must’ve been the chill managers
great video man
21:40 Micheal Jackson, P.Y.T
Still on my playlist 🔥
the fact that u didnt react to bittersweet poetry is CRIMINAL - make sure you do
You don’t need to worry anymore, Ye watched 21 jump street and now loves Jewish people
😂😂
5:26 Jay-Z
Great video 🔥
LESGOOO! WWWWWWW
Ha! Thanks for the shoutout bro!
Wendy from homecoming is his name in the song for Chicago because its the windy city. Hes from there and the whole song is about Chicago
1:00:59 is a saying "Close, but no cigar" when people used to race to get cigars
“I parallel double parked that mf sideways”. No one knows what it means but it gets the people going
Big W
nice brother🔥👍🏼
Mann “ Homecoming ” is something else I swear of god
i wonder is somethin special

This was my favourite for a while but overtime College Dropout has overtaken it but still love this album.
You underrated
Thank you! Means a lot
Ka - Honor Killed The Samurai
Hurry up with the next ye album review lol
The sample on Champion is from the band Stealy Dan! And i don't know if this is fact but Stealy Dan doesn't like people sampling their music it was an outrageous price of 1 million dollars for a sample! So Kanye did it! That's always been an ubran legend but that's totally something Kanye would do just to flex 😄
I’m late but the reason Kanye doesn’t talk abt his dad is because he lived in Atlanta and Kanye only saw him in the summers
Did you happen to catch the connection between the lines on Champion and Good Life?
No, nothing really stood out to me. What was the connection?
@@justdatboie meant to say 1 line on each song but
Champion:”And I ain't sayin' we was from the projects. But every time I wanted layaway or a deposit. My dad'd say "when you see clothes, close your eyelids"
Good Life: I always had a passion for flashin'. Before I had it, I closed my eyes and imagined the good life”
Need 808s next🙏🏽
U need more subs
Thanks for the kind words. It’s a grind but we’ll get there💯
You should review comments Be album is produced by Kanye is a super classic
The problem with Ye is that he’s always looked up to Jay Z. Jay Z has never seen him as anything other than a tool. If you listen to Watch the throne it’s obvious Ye gave up more than Jay Z whether it’s beats, album cover design and stage design for their tour.
Horrible take
@@obi912 I don’t think it’s that far fetched. With hindsight we can see how dame dash was the one that believed in him during TCD time. Jay Z just wanted beats he never saw him as rapper.
@@Nicky-zz8np truth. And the whole Taylor swift thing, looking back, you can tell Jay-Z and Beyonce were treating Ye like a little brother, egging him on to do things and he would in hopes that it would impress them.
how have you not heard kanye or kendrick albums before?
Ofc I’ve heard of those artists but I’ve never taken the time to sit down and listen to a whole album before. Most of the time I’ve only heard the mainstream songs that’ve played on the radio
ayoooo react to jpegmafia discography thats pretty strange and obscure
Let me know the best song I should react to. I’m planning on reacting to songs from albums you guys request and if I fw it, I’ll probably do an album reaction. Link to request is in the Community Tab!
sprashiva, i really liked the videoustin tynkäystäh please mor

liked subscribed commented 3 times and bought your coffee and share the video with everyone in my neighbourhood and cashapped to you see ya later matafakaaa57:56
W mans
59:23 bro why you keep saying this is random do you actually think he means he doesn’t have a cigar?😂😂😂 it’s an expression that means “A narrowly missed success” or something. Like in a ball game or a carnival contest. Though that was pretty obvious.
U talking too much between songs useless stories people came for the songs and what u think not ur FedEx job
People are here for the reaction. If you want the song, that’s what Spotify’s for 👍🏾
I enjoyed your reaction, brotha
Thank you
