Yeah, need to go south west (left) from Antelope Point Marina, it eventually turns south before you see the canyon mouth. It usually gets choppy/windy in the afternoon. I have taken the path into Antelope on my paddle board and the way back could be “interesting” Awesome video of the beautiful state of Arizona , there is waaaaay too much to explore here

Don’t be fooled, Kayaking to Antelope Canyon is an all day affair. The earliest rental you can book is best. This will lessen the wind and will give you time to hike almost the entire length of the canyon. We left at 8:00, returned the kayaks at 5 and still didn’t make it to the end. Although we were early and willing to hike deep into the canyon so we were literally alone. It’s strenuous, bouldering and depending on the time of year you could be in waist deep muddy water but it is so worth it to dedicate an entire day to this trip. I am an AZ native and have done both guided tours and this was by far the best experience I have ever had on a trip! No time restrictions and no people. I do have to stress “leave no trace”. Don’t ruin my state 😬
I’m thinking you guys should change your name to “ dare devil adventures of Matt and Nat!!! Your video blogs are simply the BEST... that kayaking trip gave me heart palpitations!!! How scary!!! Everything else was SO KOOL 😎👍👏 State # 15 !!! I’m along for the EPIC ADVENTURE 😳😁💕
hahaha We just might! 😋 Aww Thank you so much for that!! yea it got our hearts going! It was a flight or fight moment. We fought as hard as we could!! It sure was an amazing trip!! Thanks for watching always!! 🙌😍
I think its cool that youve been to every state but most states have more to them then just the places you have visited. Like Arizona! Phoenix? Scottsdale? Sedona? If you ask people about arizona yes the grand canyon will be a big mention but Phoenix is the capital. Maybe doing a circle around to all the major cities in the US might be an idea for you guys
Absolutely! We are under no delusion that we experienced everything that each state has to offer. Heck... We didn't even experience 1% of what each state has to offer! LOL... But when you have non-remote jobs and you get to travel 3-5 days at a time... You fit in what you can! Plus, there were a LOT of logistics that factored into where we visited in each state since we were typically having to fit in 2-3 sates on every 3-5 day trip. All that to say... We definitely plan to continue exploring the US and seeing more of this amazing country that we get to call home! 😊 Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
SAME!!! 😭😭 Hopefully when we get to do this full time we’ll have more time to see places. We hear nothing but amazing things about Sedona! Have you been? & if so what do you recommend?
Oh my. I had a kayaking adventure planned on the Colorado river when I was in Las Vegas to go to the Emerald caves and they canceled it because of the wind . I’m so sorry you had to go through that. Did you ever make it to the cavern? I didn’t see any footage? We were in Zion last week and Bryce and it was absolutely stunning ... along with the northern rim of the Grand Canyon. We had a 12 day trip.
Oh I bet that would’ve been spectacular!!! Yea, I wish we would’ve known just how bad that wind was going to be. Lesson learned the hard way on that one! 😭🙈😂 no, the sun set before we could go! Oh wow! That sounds absolutely spectacular! We haven’t done Bryce or the northern rim of the Grand Canyon yet but it’s on our list!!! So happy y’all had a great 12 day trip! 🎉 Thanks for sharing & for watching! Means so much more than you know! 💗🥰
I’m going to that area at the end of May. I was interested in that Epic Adventure tour until I saw how much they charge for a tour 😳 Nice video though!
Hey Norman! So glad you found our channel! We travel during the week mostly (our work schedules have us working on weekends) but yes, we fly in and do short 3-4 day trips mostly. This particular trip we also visited Las Vegas and Zion National Park, so it was a Mon-Fri trip. Thanks so much for watching!

Thanks so much for watching & leaving a comment Alexa! We appreciate it more than you know!!! 🥰💗 yea it definitely was scary!! Haha 🙈 Glad we made it out of there alive. Lol absolutely!!! We hope you have a great time whenever you go! 🎉
I'm glad you liked the Grand Canyon. We thought the first pull out to see the canyon was beautiful and and then after that it was all the same : (. Liked the Utah parks much better, but we feel really UNamerican for NOT liking it all that much. We went in May and we never saw ANY lines like that!! That's CRAZY!! The plane ride was great but I feel so bad to see how far down the water line is now from where it's been in years before. : ( The dune buggy rides (do they even call them that anymore?) looked like so much fun! I would do that in a heartbeat!
The Grand Canyon is really beautiful, but I can TOTALLY see your point. I think it will always be special to us because it was the first National Park I (Matt) ever visited and it's the first National Park that we visited together. The Utah parks definitely offer a little more variety in their views though! Although, I would love to go to the floor of the Grand Canyon someday for a different perspective! The plane ride was so beautiful, but yes, the lake levels are very sad! 😢 But if you ever get a chance to do the UTV tour (dune buggies), it is SO MUCH FUN! Safe travels!😊 -Matt
Thank you!!🥰🥰 You do not need a National Park Pass for the Grand Canyon. You’ll just have to pay the one day entrance fee when you enter. But if you think that you’ll visit more that 2-3 National Parks in the next year, it’s worth getting the American The Beautiful Park Pass… it’s $80 and gets you into almost every National Park. You can purchase it on the National Park’s website… www.nps.gov/planyourvisit/passes.htm Hopefully this is helpful!
I can’t remember off the top of my head, but if you check their website you should be able to find their current rates. americanaviationwest.com/ Tell them we said hello if you end up booking it! Thanks so much for watching!😊 -Matt
I can only imagine! We are loving our time getting to see so much of the US, but we are so definitely looking forward to international travel after this year!🙏 -Matt
Hi guys, the traffic to the Grand Canyon is nuts 🥜. I’m thinking COVID has had a huge influence on staycation travel? Everyone in the USA just want OUT!!! So glad you made it safely to shore after that exhausting, dangerous kayak trip. I absolutely agree...that was one of your worse decisions!!! Thank goodness the plane ✈️ and ATV tours made up for it!!! When you get to Oregon, a sand dunes adventure is a MUST!!! 😘
It was sooo crazy!!! Thank God we got there early! Lol 😂 I think you are 100% right everyone is traveling local! Oh wow, we are too!!! We had blisters from kayaking 2 hrs straight into the wind. It was scary! But thank God we are alive! Haha 😆 oh absolutely! The plane & Atvs made up for everything! Haha 😂 ohhhh that sounds fun!!
Good video and yes God is good. I’ve been wanting to take road trip between Utah and Arizona. 30 years ago I was 15 I rode through Arizona going to Oakland Ca for a family reunion. On the way back went through Utah saw Salt Lake going back home to Oklahoma. Plan would be start in Salt Lake drive down to Phoenix. Phoenix is on my bucket list maybe see a couple Utah canyons. Go to Grand Canyon. Plus sorry about canoe trip. But ups is your friend remember to keep from getting lost can’t wait til next vlog.
Aww thank you so much for watching & for your comment! God is so good! 🙌🏼😜👍🏼 ahh sounds like a cool roadtrip! We would love to explore Phoenix! Thanks... it was our bad thinking the wind wasn’t bad & yes you are 10000 % right! GPS is our friend! Haha 😆 🙈thanks so much Robert!!
@@AdventuresofMattandNat hahaha well its a new day.. Hopefully you'll get to go inside the canyon when tour guides open. It sucks they don't let you go inside the cave without one.
Haha... true! Yea, we hope to make it back to redeem ourselves! You can go into the lower canyon via Lake Powell (like we attempted and failed) but yea, the upper canyon is still closed but even when it’s open you can’t access it without a guide.😭
Matt and Nat, I enjoyed this so much, and had said about 10 lines plus, then hit the wrong button, and lost it all. Too bad! You would have liked what I said.☹

Hiya Guys, just found your vids. Are you guys doing this on weekends, flying in Fri put Sunday? Or on the road continously
"One the travel bug bites there is no known antidote, and I know that I shall be happily infected until the end of my life". I think you are infected like me :-) Happy adventures! Cheers, Domenico.
Haha we absolutely are! Lol Happy Adventures Domenico! 🎉👍🏼
I really wanna go to the Horseshoe bend,The Grand Canyon is definitely Grand.
Horseshoe Bend was so much bigger than we expected! And yes... it is so grand!! Haha
You should have gone to Antelope Canyon!! It's so beautiful there!!
????????? 🤦🏼♀️ 😂😂😂 We tried during our kayaking failure. Hahaha
Amazing video!! That kayaking looks so scary! Glad y’all okay! Thanks for all the tips, I’m definitely taking notes
Loved the video! BTW, do we need to get a national park pass when we go to Grand Canyon? If yes, where can we get it?
Thank you!!🥰🥰 You do not need a National Park Pass for the Grand Canyon. You’ll just have to pay the one day entrance fee when you enter. But if you think that you’ll visit more that 2-3 National Parks in the next year, it’s worth getting the American The Beautiful Park Pass… it’s $80 and gets you into almost every National Park. You can purchase it on the National Park’s website… www.nps.gov/planyourvisit/passes.htm
Hopefully this is helpful!
Thank you 💕
You’re welcome!😊
yall so funny 😁 😂 yall did great tho
Haha… Thanks for watching!!🥰🥰
we want to go explore some day
Absolutely worth it!!! 💗🎉👍🏼 It’s such a beautiful part of the country!!!
The kayaking 😂😂😂💀💀💀
Brooo! 🤣It was one of the things we were most excited for and it was a MISERABLE failure! 😭 Lol
How much was the air tour roughly?
I can’t remember off the top of my head, but if you check their website you should be able to find their current rates. americanaviationwest.com/
Tell them we said hello if you end up booking it! Thanks so much for watching!😊 -Matt
You can tell I’m 40, because after watching this video I was hoping you took the following day off to rest lol 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Wish I could take a left out of the UK to anywhere abroad for a holiday, as we are not allowed to travel anywhere yet 😞
Apparently, I say “correct” a lot. Which I think is great bc I am just validating what you are saying.😜
Hahahaha 😂 You are correct. 😂😜 lol I like that! Do you say this even when I’m not correct to make me feel like I’m correct? 😂😜😂
Correct.
I was dying when he said " top 10 worst things i ever did" hahaha
Hahahaha 😂🙈 it was so rough... nonstop kayaking for 2 hours in 25 mph winds. Not our smartest idea! 😂😂😂 Matts still salty about it! Haha 😆
❤️
When you said top 10 worst things in your life I thought you meant being in Page haha.
Hahaha yea I can see how we made it seem that way! 😂😂 definitely not page as a whole! Just kayaking in 25 mph winds! 😂😭😝
Matt and Nat, I enjoyed this so much, and had said about 10 lines plus, then hit the wrong button, and lost it all. Too bad! You would have liked what I said.☹
