    My husband constant lies, he either elevates the story so he looks like more than he is or he adds to the conversation with information that is not true. I used to correct that info and when I did people would look at me like I was the one in the wrong. So I have learned at the school of hard knocks that he is accountable for what he says and if I don't have a nice way to add to that conversation to correct that info, I just stay silent. Deep down inside I feel like an 'accomplice', because I am married to him, when he is deceptive.

      I have the same issue. It would cause me to have more strain instead of the feeling of being truthful. I feel like I have lesser of an opinion of him bc if it.

      Are you sure your husband and mine aren't twins...lol. I feel the same way. It's embarrassing. He's real good at correcting me, even if he doesn't know what he is talking about. It's the need to be right, thus winning in their eyes, controlling the conversations and us. I've just left the conversation, so I don't have to listen to the next embellished version of a story that's been told over and over. So, I am absent a lot in some group settings to avoid hearing it again. But he also does the same thing in private conversations or disagreements, it's manipulation. A red flag for you. Keep listening to these broadcasts to learn how to manage ourselves.

    In regards to responding to a covert malignant narcissist you just don’t react as much as possible. And there is no having a logical and honest conversation with them. They will talk in circles and lie and gaslight to no end. So just don’t engage at all as much as possible. I’ve learned this the hard way and through learning a lot from professionals. And thanks for biblical advice! It is very helpful.

    Here from MN ♥️God himself found these ladies including Lysa T. He gives me what I need. Their wisdom is needed and a valuable resource. Young brides should arm themselves with their wisdom and Gods word. Trouble does come in this world, so let’s be ready when it does. Their advice crosses over into other types of relationships too.
    Thank you for leading us to the rock that is higher then ourselves. I cherish God!

    Leslie, what happens is you have acted out in anger and it wasn’t who you are and it’s been years and your living with regrets?

    • @leslievernick
      @leslievernick  6 місяців тому

      What are your regrets doing for you? If they push you to repent, make amends with those you have hurt, and do your own work to change, that's a good thing. If they are just a voice in your head berating you, that is not healthy. Let God take those regrets and redeem them into something beautiful.

    If she has stored trauma in her memory bank and a PART that developed - which is 90% of the time what happens with childhood trauma, it is VERY hard not to react bc at this point the prefrontal cortex shuts down - you cant think! And you are flooded with painful emotion coming from the back of brain ....survival reactions based on past. Solution - we must do inner healing memory part-work to release past pain and salvation in Christ must occur to ever part.
