That's wonderful to hear, Rob! Graham really was so fun to speak to and it was such a joy to hear her share her love for gourds! Let us know how your visit is.
I have a friend who is an artist of many talents. She has made gourd pieces including an aproned open topped piece where we store our wooden cooking tools . we also have a wonderful gourd container with leaves made of gourds.
Just looked this place up it is next to an Eco village. Looks like a really cool place thanks for sharing! Edit: I just noticed I have 2 places near that pinned on my google earth. Buttermilk Falls state park and Watkins Glen Gorge.
I can't speak for the other places, Watkins Glen State Park is so beautiful. I loved walking through the trails of rock and all. Although it was about 35 years ago. I doubt that it has changed much.
I LOVE how excited Graham was to share her passion with Dylan. I bet a class at her place would be amazing!
So glad to have come across this video. Graham is amazing and so is Gourdlandia. I will visit!

This is the most wholesome thing I’ve seen in a long time, they were both just so happy and enthusiastic to revel in the joy the gourd brings!
Thanks for bringing a smile to my face Dylan.
Both of your enthusiasm for gourds was contagious 😊
Just two friends having a gourd time

Thank you! I have been a gourd nut my entire life. My 90 yr old dad has a shop full of them. This has reinspired me to pull some gourds out and play!
Yess! That's amazing. You should definitely do that!
What a wholesome experience
Show the process of drying the gourds. It is crazy how much water comes out of them and how the gourds change as the process proceeds.
Been wanting to do Gourds for so long but had no idea you could grow them in colder climes, Very excited to get in the fun soon!

Now I'm upset. I love gourds and we were on vacation in the Finger Lakes this past fall. We drove right passed it, and didn't know it was there.
Darn.
Go back, Joan! It's time to go back!
Yes! Come back!
I’ve made rattles and masks with gourds, they’re great fun to work with, but I’ve yet to grow my own, perhaps it’s time to do that.
The next frontier!
Saw another interview with her, and she's lit a fire in my gourdy soul!!

This was really interesting, and enjoyable. I'd love to be able to make art like that. :)

The power of gords compels you , the power of gords compels you.
She'll never be... out of her gourd.
Qué bellas calabazas
is this how heaven looks like?
First time growing. Do they dry well in a humid area. East Tennessee?
She seems eccentric in a good kind of way. Or should I say "a gourd kind of way"?
Are any parts of the gourds edible?
I want to know the edible ones by name, too! Good question.
Some people eat gourds when they are little. Seems kinda barbaric to me....
How do I get seeds 🤔
Baker Creek!
" I totally get it "
For food to eat only not for decorate
