@@lobinhoelvas it would be a sight to see commercial jets taking off from the island Airport. But I believe the runway needs to be extended even for the e-jets
@@lobinhoelvas The E2 definitely cannot land at the Island. Plus due to the tripartite agreement jets are not allowed to land at the Island anyway. It's incredibly silly. The jets are quieter than the Q400s.
I never knew porter was sending their new aircraft to pearson. I was on the main deck in a UPS md 11 at vista ramp when I saw the embraer landed. Beautiful looking aircraft, first look of the E2s😊

A simple clean livery for the airline. The night video is always beautiful with the lights turned on the aircraft. Pearson is lighted nicely. Because Boeing sued bombarider putting a 300% tax on any plane sold to the us. They had to give up 50% equity to airbus so they started building them in the us to beat the tax and once theyre being built in the us it wasn’t a all Canadian fleet anymore anyways so they opted to the e2 during Covid because they got a great day and fast delivery time. A220 has 780 aircraft back log
Because Justin Trudeau blocked porters expansion and purchase of the CS100. Mainly to protect Air Canada who are liberal donors and now have a business partnership with the federal government. Just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Canadian Government corruption.
Shame they didn't get CS100s/220s to fly out of Toronto City. But I suppose expansion wise the capacity of the 195 is the next logical step for Porter from the stretch Dash-8s. Wish them well.
They don't want intermediate seats, they opted for different services with hall + window, 2+2 setup for comfort, it's a different economy with the entire aircraft in business class in terms of space and plus services.... You won't travel like a stacked load.

I'm not sure beer or wine and a bag of chips will help people in a cramped seat on a 5+ flight to Vancouver at the price point they are charging
Typical Canadian company, they don't support their own country with the A220, they buy offshore, the US carriers wouldn't do that, I will not fly with porter!!!!!!!!!!
