i have bought alot of chineese sets for my colection as lego have retired so many set i wanted and to buy is megga money people dont have at this time i have recently bought the razor crest which is retired and i have just payed £60 for milenium falcon they look just as good some times and it will look good in my cabinet to have the full colection most of my sets are official lego but if i cant get it for the right price i have no issue buying a chineese moc
I am right there with you on this. I buy many alternative brick sets, but I buy some Lego sets as well. The prices are just to outrageous not to buy the alt. sets. Remember people, they are toys. Think of it as if you were a child again, and you had to save up what little money you could attain. Parents are not going to buy their children expensive sets.
Well said that man. It should be down to choice; and I know lots of people only want official Lego stuff, and I’m down with that. But my little lad couldn’t care less if he’s playing with a £150 or a £25 millennium falcon set. Especially when you start talking about retired sets…. Couldn’t have completed the helmet collection without good old Ali
The adverts on places like Ali express usually hide the images or distort them so they ain’t easily picked up, but yeah they keep disappearing and then reappearing. Must be a nightmare to check
I feel like you repeat yourself a ton ) On the topic of fake lego sets it really is just a lottery. You can get good big set for 1/10 of a price or you can get wrong set (sometimes not even lego fake) with garbage quality.
Love feedback :) Yeah I do tend to do that, usually when I’m thinking what to say next haha, this vid is an omnibus version of some other videos. Yeah I think the big sets are worth the risk tbh, as long as you go into the purchases knowing what your buying, not looking to sell them on as official…. No harm done :)
I bought a Kylo Ren picture art set which was so bad I had to return it ,quality was bad ,backing plates would not fit together ,the instructions was usless. To be fair i did get a full refund . You need to check out supplier . I think the normal sets are much better , but quality is not as good as Lego . I only tend to buy discontinued sets or items not made by Lego . As you said it's up to to the buyer to make their is decision Lego or Fake .It's what you can afford .
You can't separate the moral issue. If we talk retired Lego sets, that's a different situation, because you'd only be buying them from speculators if the sets are still sealed. However with Lego sets that are still in shops, buying on AliExpress means buying stolen designs, probably produced in sweatshops.
Taking the sweatshops issue aside (as I can’t find any evidence of that), is it the same issue as emulation of retro games? They are no longer in production and many many people think that’s fine to jump on a rom site and download full datasets?
The Lego prices are just downright criminal.

I'm surprised Lego and Disney don't sue! Maybe they haven't got the jurisdiction

100% agree. I’ve not had to return anything yet but they are usually good when things go wrong.
