Thanks! I agree. I wasn’t Interested in buying on TEMU either. I assumed everything was fake knockoffs. But if a store is going to sell real LEGO at a good price and do good business I can appreciate that and support the store while getting a good deal .
The TLG started by stealing the blueprints of a Kiddicraft plastic molding machine, then manipulating with patents, and the first Lego sets were complete copies of Kiddicraft sets, right down to the instructions. So, I wouldn't use the terms fake or not fake Lego. Some Chinese sets are far superior in quality and design to Lego sets and cost three times less.
I have bought many *building* toys from them. I have built a few of the huge cars 2000+ pieces. And then I just bought a 4400 piece titanic. The pieces are so small but amazing. Never bought the *lego* ones tho.
@@TheBrickQuest Well, of course I looked at it straight away because, to be honest, I have nothing against a bargain. But unfortunately I can't order anything
The harbour set is a fake. Lego QC doesn't allow for production marks. On the 6x10 plate 4:23 there is are points on the 3,4 strut. (From top left and bottom right)
All these gray market sets will basically have minor defects to them. If it doesn’t pass QC Lego will want to throw it away, factory workers just take the defective ones and sell them. That’s what we have here. It’s real Lego at the end of the day still. You’ll be surprised on how much gray market defective stuff gets sold for bargain prices. You can find everything from clothing to tech which doesn’t pass QC because of a scratch being sold at a heavy discount.
I’m not sure about the marks but I did confirm they were real. I was able to scan the QR code on the manuals and they did link to the LEGO database. Must just be some poor quality control.
Paper bags vs plastic bags is that the machines that fill the bags are being replaced. Plastic bag == old machine. Paper bag == new machine. As old machines break replaced with new machine, not just fixed. Machines have a life expectancy/cost of maintennace. Worth to start replacing old "bagging machines"(plastic) with new "bagging machines"(paper)
Comparing prices with the rip off Lego online shop is redicolous, especially if you just even mentioned at 0:30 there are massive discounts on Temu to compete with prime week. Nobody who can count to 10 compares non-exclusive sets with those "official" retail prices. The crane is at about 80€ on amazon Germany which is about 87 USD, so not really a deal. I didnt check the other prices but seems to be as unpromising as well. another weird thing is to have this typical US-biased view that it's not yet released - in the USA. Sure Lego is from Denmark, they produce in China and Europe, why should America be first. Its like Playstations and Nintendos are first released in Japan, then the US market and usually Europe and Australia at last. 🤔🤷♂
@@TheBrickQuest It's because in Asian there's many competitors to Lego such as Oxford, Cada, Mould king, etc. Those companies cost way less than Lego so HAS to lower their prices in Asia to compete at all.
The fact you have damaged boxes is the give away, these would be right offs, not meant for resale, yes they could just repackage, but for some reason it's cheaper not to, so we'll done for some great bargains, just in case anyone is wondering, yes sometimes the accidental damage is done deliberately!
Paper bags are normal, Lego is actually adding a legend to the sets saying "we are transitioning from plastic bags to paper bags" and some bla bla bla.
okay lemme explain, the reason those "unreleased" sets only have the set number and not piece count is because they're from the european market. Every other year lego switches who gets the sets first, this year europe got those sets a month before the us, thats how temu got hold of them.
I understand LEGO is hugely expensive and often overpriced for a lot of consumers but I don’t believe Temu is the way to go when purchasing sets. It’s a dodgy Chinese company and there’s no trace to where these sets came from.
@@MasterK687 Lego is cheap to make. A 100 dollar set costs like 8 bucks to produce. They must be buying on huge bulks and probably are not very popular on Asia, so they sell em anythere else.

Honestly I would rather find the knockoff versions of all of these. Identical build and identical quality, but usually like a quarter of the price. Most of my collection is off brands, which I'm perfectly happy with.
I’m sure you have some great sets in your collection so I see nothing wrong with that. Always nice to save some money!
i think these are smuggled from the factory, like that happens with transformers figures, theres 3 creators who get figures early (i wont name them but i do know them)
Wow! I guess that wouldn’t surprise me but hopefully not.
some August sets seems to have already been released in EU since June
Awesome! Doesn’t seem to be happening too much over here for some reason. Hope you found some good sets!
Can't believe you guys don't have those sets until August 1st had them in Australia for ages
I’m not sure why we don’t but that’s great for you all!
Someone is going to be building Lego sets for days
2 Down and a bunch to go. 😂
@@TheBrickQuest 🤣 Time well spent
rip bank account. the kids that work in the temu sweatshops are gonna have a 2 cent raise.
you saying that sets are not released only the ones you talking about have been released from july the 1 in europe.
that way temu get them form the euro marked en sell them in US
That makes sense! They are unreleased here in the US so that make sense that they grabbed them outside of the country to sell them here. I’ve never seen that before which is kind of crazy.
In amazon india they are already out since weeks
I wish the US was that lucky. Lol
A little unknown fact about email as an original sign upper one of the first 10,000 you can submit a return claim for anything if you do not deem it good enough for you
Wow! That’s good to knows. Thanks for the info. Crazy that you were one of the first 10,000!
Great video and I really appreciate the to-the-point reporting on the purchases you made, I really don’t want to support Temu but I’m honestly tempted at these deals. Fantastic video, subbed.
Thanks! I agree. I wasn’t Interested in buying on TEMU either. I assumed everything was fake knockoffs. But if a store is going to sell real LEGO at a good price and do good business I can appreciate that and support the store while getting a good deal .
Lego cargo set came early in Europe, in june and these new sets come with paper bags.
Good to know! Thanks for the info!
Hey could you share the links for the sets? Thanks!
@@cooper3278 this is the link for the TEMU store I purchased from. share.temu.com/pC0cX7SylTA proceed with caution and make sure to use PayPal.
@@TheBrickQuestjust tried the link, says that seller is taking a short break. Interesting.
@@GarrettMetzler89 I tried it again and it works for me. Are you in the US? Maybe it’s a market thing.
@@TheBrickQuest yep thanks a lot!
Yes. True! I do know there are some cool alternate sets out there.
I also can’t find any Lego on Temu, even using picture search. Therefore I find this video too good to be true.
ive found alot of sets where are u located?
@@RobertSmith-tu7rl Germany
@@sebastianv.270 that's probably why I just found everything he was talking about and I'm in the US. I actually just ordered 2 sets
I think they might be available only in the US.
@@TheBrickQuest Yes, it seems so!
Good for Lego, as long as they are being sold. Everyone happy, sellers and consumers.
Definitely! Hopefully we can see even lower prices in the future.
How do I find,I can’t find when I search on temu
Here is the link to the store I shopped on. share.temu.com/RXGTdrasbHA proceed with caution though.
I meant i didnt find any Lego on Temu
But Lego in Temu did pop upp when i put it in US as the country so i think it only works on the US
Its already released on the 1st of June in my country, and I work at a lego store
Good to know! Thanks for the heads up! What country are you in?
I have bought many *building* toys from them. I have built a few of the huge cars 2000+ pieces. And then I just bought a 4400 piece titanic. The pieces are so small but amazing. Never bought the *lego* ones tho.
Cool! Good to know! I didn’t think they would have actual LEGO bricks on TEMU.
If the third on is un released it makes they have paper bags cause lego is going green w no plastic(well other than the pieces)
That makes sense! Thanks
Well, that only seems to apply to the USA, the store is not accessible from Germany!
Got ya. I was wondering if that may be the case!
Crazy how even with the discount they’re still mad expensive
LEGO is not cheap that’s for sure. They could work on their pricing.
I can’t find the original there, who can tell me how to find it?
Here is the link for the store but proceed with caution. share.temu.com/m8ezU8wxRuA
@@TheBrickQuestAnd there are also stores, it says that there is a short break in the store?
@@DanilaDK weird. Which market do you live in? I’m in the US.
@@TheBrickQuest Kazakhstan
most sets on amazon germany have 30% discounts perpetually
That is awesome! Wish it was the same here.
Makes sense! Thanks for the detailed info!
Damn... that is indeed cool.
Ya. I was surprised!
Want to confirm it’s real? Scan the QR code on your phone, the QR code on the Lego magazine, if nothing pops up it’s fake.
Great tip! I scanned the manuals and they are all real. Thanks
@@TheBrickQuest Awesome! I might consider buying from Temu then!
Just my thoughts on the order and buying from TEMU from the first time. An interesting purchase for sure!
He he boy. you ALREADY know what im doing today. SPENDING 6,000 DOLLARS IM GONNA BE BROKE
sets cost way less in some countries. what's so mysterious about this? Look at hong kong prices (not the lego site, but street retail) as an example
I didn’t realize other countries sold LEGO so cheap. We are not that fortunate here in the US. We have to grab a deal when we see one.
@@TheBrickQuest It's because in Asian there's many competitors to Lego such as Oxford, Cada, Mould king, etc. Those companies cost way less than Lego so HAS to lower their prices in Asia to compete at all.
I can’t find these real Lego sets on temu what do I type in the search bar??
I believe these sets were only for TEMU in the US.
@@TheBrickQuest oh okay thank you mate
Lego got new box art and bags for climate so Thats Why the city set was different
Got ya! Thanks for the info!
The fact you have damaged boxes is the give away, these would be right offs, not meant for resale, yes they could just repackage, but for some reason it's cheaper not to, so we'll done for some great bargains, just in case anyone is wondering, yes sometimes the accidental damage is done deliberately!
Interesting. That makes total sense. I was wondering how this was possible.
Paper bags are normal, Lego is actually adding a legend to the sets saying "we are transitioning from plastic bags to paper bags" and some bla bla bla.
wait this is unrealeased? My local shop already has em?
They are unreleased here in the US. Not sure if any other countries havnt got them yet.
okay lemme explain, the reason those "unreleased" sets only have the set number and not piece count is because they're from the european market.
Every other year lego switches who gets the sets first, this year europe got those sets a month before the us, thats how temu got hold of them.
That’s what I was thinking but thanks for confirming! Too bad we can’t get the same sets here in the US till months later.
@@TheBrickQuest yeah its kind of a stupid system. But next year y'all will probably get sets a month before us xD
The August set is already available in Europe so it's possible for them to be real.
Ok cool! Thanks for the info
I saw those advertisements as well but assumed it was going to be knock off bricks since they sell lots of flego
I know what you mean. I thought for sure it was going to be knockoff Lego. But somehow it wasn’t. Building 2 of the sets now and it’s all real so far.
I understand LEGO is hugely expensive and often overpriced for a lot of consumers but I don’t believe Temu is the way to go when purchasing sets. It’s a dodgy Chinese company and there’s no trace to where these sets came from.
tf you talking? you think China has no Lego? lmao
@@rnt__ of course China has LEGO but how are Temu selling it for such a low price?
@@MasterK687 Lego is cheap to make. A 100 dollar set costs like 8 bucks to produce. They must be buying on huge bulks and probably are not very popular on Asia, so they sell em anythere else.
@@rnt__ Every legitimate company that sells LEGO anywhere in the world will buy in bulk so they have enough supply. There is no way LEGO would sell bulk sets to Temu a month early knowing they would charge 40% off day one with no guarantee that even box quality will be maintained. I suspect these LEGO sets were stolen.
I will say though it does seem like LEGO will ripoff their customers as much as they can.
Another case of Americans thinking “if something ain’t released here yet then it ain’t released anywhere else”
I’m so used to all sets be released at the same time around the world I didn’t realize we were the only ones. My bad. 😂
"five days later" are you shitting me?! i have to wait three months whenever i order anything from China
I was surprised by the speed of the shipping too! The listing said local warehouse and turns out they all shipped from New Jersey.
