Hi y'all! We wanted to bring you along on a driving tour to see more of the small Texas town of Hico. About half way through we had the idea to do picture-in-picture with commentary.. we enjoyed chatting as we were driving, but what do y'all think? Thanks for watching!
We love your video and Adventures. I love see Dallas. Houston. Bigger city. And I love small town in Texas. I never Been in Texas. ❤❤ and We love see Chip and Joanne Gaines in Texas.
Hi Kelly Alex and Bones Wow I just watched your video of y'all driving trip love it. I will be watching all of your road trips. Your friend Joyce from California HUGS ❤️ 🫂 🤗!!
I like the "driving tour," especially with the commentary!!! It's neat to see other communities in a small town. I like the paintings on the walls of buildings. That's really cool! I'm looking forward to your next adventure!
My city has lots of videos like this one, made by one of the city agencies. Just driving down streets one way, then the other, holding whatever video camera was available at the time. In a hundred years future residents of Hico can watch your video to see what is the same and what has changed over time. 🙂
Another great video! We love road trips and checking out small towns. The campground is $35/night according to the website. We’ve now added this to our list of camp spots for our epic road trip and we’ll be in a stealth camper van like that one on the side of the road. If you do another video like this we’d sure appreciate it! 🐾🐾🇨🇦
that is where we visited in Hamilton and also visit in amarillo texas to see the cadillac ranch! Really cool! Also saw the Beetle Bug ranch too! I love the western states. We visited several western states last winter!!! Would love to revisit all again❤
Thanks for the tour. We are planning a long trip, and will be driving through Texas on our way. Was looking for ideas on where to stop, and you’re very helpful
Another small Texas town. My husband and I live in the Tx panhandle. We also like to drive around on his days off. So many of these towns look terrible to outsiders. But you won’t find any nicer people in the US as you will find in Texas. You go into town and people wave at you and men tip their hats and still hold doors like true men should. I love the look of our old. Courthouses and at one time thought of traveling to every one in Texas, a lot, and photographing them and putting together a Texas Courthouse coffee table book. Sadly we had a fire a few years ago and I lost all of the pictures and info that I had accumulated. Who knows, my husband is retiring in a couple of years maybe I can make that still happen.
i was watching dumpster diving channel and came here. you should visit Athens TX, about 1 hour and 20 mins south of Dallas. We bought a vacation home there (we are from PA ) and love the little town.
I live in Texas too so I am used to seeing little towns like this. However going on a road trip soon to NM, Utah and AZ soon. Never been to Utah before. I am so looking forwarding to seeing the red hills and touring the little towns there. Hoping to meet up with another DD named Julie from The Frugal Family near SLC, Utah while I am there.
No one is moving to Hico to commute to Austin. It is too far away. DFW is closer to Hico than Austin is so they would probably commute that way first. Also, I wouldn’t say Hico is in the Hill Country. Great video btw. Always good to see small towns that time seems to have forgotten.
I might catch heat for this, but I say it with empathy: It looks the same as every other place. The rural downtown looks like every place in America, the rural not-downtown, the homes, look like every overlooked community, the big cities are even starting to look the same. Sure each place has a tiny bit of history but, so will the next cookie cutter space. All in the past. You could be touring a town in California's central valley btw. Or was that Illinois?
I have a suggestion - why not visit a small town not that far and do an investigative report? Why not a trip to Stephenville and ask about the UFO a few years ago? Ask if more have been seen since, were they seen before, any reports of abductions or missing time....... Has any one not spoken up that would be willing to do so now that Congress has said they exist? Oh yeah you could come up with some awesome ideas for questions.

To the place I belong!
Y’all should check out the Historic Bain-Honaker House and Museum in Farmersville, Texas. It’s very cool!

Hello 8❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I get the feeling that you are going backwards 🤣
Play us a Diddly ?😂Diddy? 🎵
Is the river clean?
Woah looked like 3 lifezized Amigos statues on top of that buisiness
I understand these are "old towns" but they remind me of the scenes from The Walking Dead! YIKES!!! It looks like a "dying" time economically. So sad!
Haha right! They're a little spooky when they're so empty, but we love seeing little places like this.
Same to me
I don’t see nothing good about proventy
@@susanfontaine3721 do you mean poverty?
@@julien2912 yes
Where are the people? LOL
😂😂😂they aren't WILD chickens. Their owner lets them free range during the day
