Those bring back memories of Grafenwoehr Germany....and let's not forget Hoensfels! I'm a Tanker for life!
Spent 6 years in tanks far east
Amen! M Co, 3/2 ACR. Spent lots of time at Graf and Hohenfels. Tank Table VIII was fun, but TT XII was the best.
Brings back memories. The biggest balls on today’s modern battlefield.
Awesome live fire demo. My cousin was a Cav Scout and spent a lot of time in M-3’s. He said the M-1’s were absolutely amazing to be around.
0:16 someone left their schoolbag on the roof :D
AWSOME!
I had fun on these 22 years
great video
Yeah . 🔥💚👍

This makes me wonder how much destructive power would a 120mm HE round have, and also, for some reason, in some play-by-post wargame, I seemed to use MBTs as artillery (short-to-medium range field artillery to be more precise)...
What m1a2 varient are these? Telling from how old the video is I'd assume they are SEP or SEP V2
SEP v2, only a handful of units in U.S. Army are still using the SEP, a big number of them were upgraded to v2´s, the rest is in Armor School and lucky National Guard Units
Where are the red flags ? For live fire.
Why do they back up and move forward after every shot of the cannon
They do that to back up the tank away from the Line of Sight(LOS) of the enemy . Also when they move forward to shoot, they do so being careful to remain in a "hull down" position, using the terrain to hide the body of the tank and only exposing the amount of turret strictly necessary to shoot the gun on the target. They then back up the tank hiding it completely while it reloads. The objective is minimal exposure to enemy fire because even though the armor is effective and likely not fully penetrated even in case of a hit, other equipment like optics, laser range finder or thermal viewer will get knocked out easier with mounting hits.
Tank tactics aren’t much different from infantry tactics really. You move from cover to cover using fire to suppress the enemy fire. When in a cover position you make yourself as small as possible. When firing you expose as little of yourself as possible and then get back behind cover. It’s a combination of maximum firepower while minimizing risk.
I just yolo around 😅😂😳
That's how tanks fight.
Because if they stay up, the enemy can target them.
Why do their turrets sway so much side to side?
The Gunner is scanning for targets.
Basically, they do exactly the same i do in Battlefield.
Spent my time far east m60a1
I wanna know how much it pens
I’m pretty sure it’s little over 600mm of armor.
Depends on round and also some pen data is classified
Ha!
Just the United States and the aliens. Just like God intended
😂😂😂 paper Lion😂😂😂
Damn, I'm even scared to be the fake targets too
Why do they leave so much junk on top of it?
There is zero room inside for food and personnel items. So it all goes into those racks at the back of the turret.
@@Seegster77 good to know
Best part about the tank really it makes it look rugged with lots of stuff. Various tanks have different ways of storing items but yeah basically there's no room inside for stuff.

No it’s just the turbine
Yeah the Turbine seems weird even tho the Abrams is better then the T90 😎😎😎😎😎😎

Russian bots incoming!
The leopard burn in ukraine Whem the abrams burn at whell
You can't even spell well
Can we get that in English?
Hes a Russian bot and you guys expect him to speak actual English 😝
We need a new tank if an abrams fights a leopard were gonna get fucked
Not really.
Leopards are still inferior to the abrams
??!?! Where's your tank knowledge from. Both tanks are comparable to a high degree. In the end whatever tank you have has 0 effect. In actual tank combat usually who sees each other first or gets the first shot usually wins be it mobility kill, mission kill, optic damage etc. Its all apart of the survivability onion and a Leopard, Abrams etc can be easily taken out if the crew is oblivious or it isnt supported by infantry.
When would an abrams fight a German tank?
@@joshhanklon Right? I don't see us going to war in western Europe at any point soon lmao.
