Dude, ive been "playing" guitar for so long, I became a drummer instead and I just watched this video, spent 10 minutes practicing and now I can play this. Its sloppy as shit but it is recognizably, the shit. You sir, have EARNED my sub! Cheers

How to tune down a half step
Tune normally with capo on 1st fret
Then take it off
You’re done ✅
Sorry to be correcting but, that would be tuning a half step UP.
Archie Hennessy [The Amatuer Editor] it lowers all the strings by a half step because when you put the capo on it will raise a half step initially but then if you tune it normally and take it off because you were a half step up with the capo on, when you take it off it will be lowered

Man this song brings me so much nostalgia. I had learned this song from Marty’s older video tutorial of this song, this was the first song I learned to play thanks to Marty, I don’t think I would had even tried to play guitar in general if I never seen these videos, he made everything so simple and I loved that. back then if the tutorial wasn’t by Marty I didn’t even care aha. After learning this song my passion the music increased dramatically

If you started playing guitar in the late 90’s-early 2000’s more then likely this was the first song you learned along with Smells Like Team Spirit. Even after all these years I still love playing this!

I have a question, sometimes when playing power chords like these my hand starts to tingle, it doesn't really hurt but it feels more like it's going to 'sleep" if that makes sense. What is causing this sensation and what can I do to resolve it?
remove your hand
Take a 10-15 min break. Usually newer players have troubles with power chord heavy songs, cause it puts a strain on the skin that your body isn't used to. Just dont overdo it and hurt yourself or else you might damage a nerve. Eventually you'll be able to handle it without discomfort.

A simplified version of _breaking the girl_ would be nice marty. Some beginners want to play it but the chords (that Froosh plays) are a bit complicated.

Hey buddy! I just to happened to be watching this da day after. He is playing 3 strings for a power chord, low E, A, D. Power chords can be played with 2 or 3 strings though and they’ll sound very similar. As an absolute beginner, like he said just use 1 finger. After that, play the low E and A to make a power chord.
