The reviews for this suv from car and driver, edmonds, and others are looking very good. Crash test rating excellent. I personally think this suv looks better both inside and out over the rest of the vehicles in this niche. I test drove a Tiguan and than a Sportage and love the Sportage. Best looking base model I've ever seen. Just my opinion though.
It's really growing on me.
I have a silver Sportage lx and i love it and the fe is for fuel efficiency i used to work at a Kia dealership that’s what the mechanics and lube techs told me
Wow hyundai's sister company Kia puts 2 rear seat pockets and vents with soft touch material on the door panels for a 23,000$ car while a 25,000$ compact sedan with the limited trim doesn't have these.
The "FE" refers to a "Fuel Efficiency Attachment" added to the vehicle

True. The salesperson told me it wasn't a big deal that the AWD looks different.

I think the 4 individual fig lights on that Kia was not a good feature . I prefer the individual projector style look

I'm in the market for a small compact crossover and this one, the Tucson and the cx5 are in my to 3.
I'm getting the low trim since I'm not that rich and most reviewers always do the top of the line with everything on and AWD. I live in socal so AWD is not something you need unless you go off road but with a crossover? no thank you. So I'm looking who gives the most for the lowest price. To start the Kia and Hyundai give a lot of discount in my area. this model is like $20k right now, so I might add that package that adds the bigger screen, power seats (I want to lumbar for long drives) illuminated vanity mirror, fog lights, roof rails like for 1 k. plus since I'm keeping it for years, the warranty does seems nice. What I don't like is that they don't offer standard push start button like the cx5, better fuel economy, dual exhaust, better gauges (I want to customized my cluster, hate analogs). but it's cheap and I just want it because we are having a second baby and with my current 2 door jeep 15mpg is not going to work. I'll just replace the wheels with same size but black wheels (roads are horrible where I live), hid in the front (good thing they all come with projectors, they'll look factory with blinding people)and add a good set of speakers and a spare tire (I got the middle of nowhere where there's no signal, if the tire blows I'm fuck)
Interesting that the one my mother just bought used (2017 lx model) has a spare tire in it. Not sure why this one has it and the one you looked at didn't. Granted it is just a temporary spare, but still better than a can of fix-a-flat. I think Kia offers a lot of nice features for the money and especially for a base model like the LX. Looking at things like base Rav4 or CRV, you get nothing in the way of a touch screen radio on the base models. No backup camera (until you hit the year models where they become a requirement). Hell the Rav4 from this generation didn't even have a digital speedometer available in the info screen. Just a lot of car for the money here
Gotta look under that storage tray. My old Tucson had a tray like that over the spare tire. --- I was wrong. I just test drove one and it had no spare. Salesman said they were doing repair kits instead of spares now. It has an air compressor and maybe some fix a flat type stuff.

You sound like everyone on the Walking Dead xD except Glenn... I actually really like the look, it grew on me. The back is fenomenal. In SX form this would be my pick from the compact crossover segment for sure, followed by Mazda CX5 and Hyundai Tucson.

Look up reviews on edmonds. Renegade i was looking to get but since several buyers had to have motor replaced b4 first oil change and electrical problems also I won’t go that route. Jeep can keep that junk.

AGREE on the nose....they blew it this year by switching from the tiger.
A lot of cars these days actually put the spare tire in the undercarriage, under the front passenger seat.

I have a 2009 Kia Magentis LX with a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder i could have got a v6 but the 4 cylinder is better on gas

The 2017 CR-V looks great. Looks like it is higher quality than the Rav-4.

u can also look at the ford escape or honda crv or subaru forester or nissan x trail
so what did you go with ?
