Man, you´re doing a great job! Not, that it´s only good to understand how the games work when you explain them it´s always so pleasant to hear you and by no means stressful too. I enjoy it
Darn, I think youtube removed my comment due to posting a link to the BGG thread, but at 16:13 one major fire token can take out a plague cube in rounds 5 & 6 as per the designer in a thread on BGG.
Great job as always!! Just got this game and you answered some questions I had. One thing is reading the rules and another is watching them being demonstrated. I’m a visual learner so I looove watching your tutorials. Thank you so much!!!
Wow, thank you so much!!! Amazingly chill content and as a west european, i freaking love east-european accents! 😬 How is it, that the video goes so long compared to your Praga video? I have heard, that this one is easier to teach? 🤔
Thanks! I think there are more rules in Messina than in Praga, but it's easier to understand those Messina rules, they are more thematic and make more thematic sense.
Awesome video! A couple things: At 16:06 you say a major fire token removes 1 plague token from the hex you're on and 1 from an adjacent hex. The designer, Vladimir Suchy, posted on the BGG forums (thread 2920291), "2 fire tokens [i.e. a major fire token] can therefore destroy 2 infections on the same hex Or 1 infection where the meeple is and one on the adjacent hex." Also, at 25:00 in the Build action, when you're talking about cycling workshops or cabins, you forgot to mention it costs 1 point or 1 token of any type (Rulebook page 12). Finally, at 37:45, for the scroll board scoring, the first category scores for "workshops and quarantine cabin improvements" (Rulebook page 17). I think you just mentioned "workshops."
You can always trust Nithrania to put out top content from the most exciting new euro games. Even though I aint buying half of them I watch them all for entertainment. Thank you Nithrania.
So many great euro games incoming: Messina, Golem, Tabannusi, Ark Nova, Zapotec, Bitoku. Too bad the shipping industry is in chaos and we won't see any of them anytime soon :(
This is such a great video. I have watched it many times! The only thing that has changed is the way mayor fire tokens work; now you are able to use a mayor fire token when two (2) fires are required during turns 5 and 6. There are three fire-token-related threads on BGG.
@@nithrania-gameinanutshell @Nithrania - Game in a Nutshell I agree. It seems more logical. The other thing I didn't see in the video is the mention of paying one token of any type (with the exception of a rat token) to be able to cycle the buildings (24:56). Do you know if this rule has also changed?
Hello and thanks for the explanation, but I think there's a small mistake. 32:10 A person leaving the quarantine can also be placed on a workshop (p.16 Quarantine). Regards Tournesol
A small mistake at 16:38. For each plague cube you removed, not just from your hex (it could be from an adjacent hex), advance 1 space on the popularity track.
I really like the format of this, and your obvious love for the games you cover, but I personally find that you repeat yourself a LOT, and the videos could be much shorter (and thus worthy of the title "in a nutshell") if you try and avoid that a bit more.
Thank you very much. ☺️ I know I repeat myself, and I do it on purpose to reinforce some rules and "messages". Sometimes I got comments that I didn't mention some rules in the video, but I did, in another section or chapter of the video and I didn't want to repeat myself. However, people were confused so I decided to double- or triple-mention rules if I find it helpful. But sometime I struggle a little bit to find the right balance, I admit. :)

Yes, I've seen that too, thanks!
Another excellent video. I will watch it again when I get a copy of Messina 1347.
As usual my first reaction when I am looking for rules only videos and I see Nithrania is pure joy!! :D
😄 so happy to hear that! ☺️
Just got this game and thank you for great explanation!
Thank you so much for the video. It makes understanding the game rules so much easier.
Keep up with your work!

@@nithrania-gameinanutshell That makes sense, thank you very much, so ill start with Messina. Have a nice day!

Correction: a single major fire token is sufficient for removing a plague cube in rounds V&VI.
So many great euro games incoming: Messina, Golem, Tabannusi, Ark Nova, Zapotec, Bitoku. Too bad the shipping industry is in chaos and we won't see any of them anytime soon :(

Absolutely true. Hopefully they arrive before Christmas.
The explanation of the game is simply perfect. Awesome, awesome job !
Thank you so much. :)

Yes, I know about the change, they are more natural I would say. :)

I don't think it has changed... maybe I just forgot to mention it in the video. 🤭
@@nithrania-gameinanutshell :) Thank you for replying. Your videos are very useful, thanks!
I was cool right up to rule: 438.1.3b(the blue exception).
But seriously, fabulous work explaining a super convoluted game.

Another great one right on schedule! :) The game just arrived from Essen! Thank you!
Thank you for the video.
You are so good in explaining a game. Compliments for this video. Thank you very much
Thank you. ☺️
Great explanation, good job!
Great video again you helped me a lot! I just received the game!
Great primer to reading to reading the rules. (As always.).
Also! Nice meeting you at Spiel :)
Thank you, and yes, it was a pleasure for me, too! :)
Hello and thanks for the explanation,
but I think there's a small mistake. 32:10 A person leaving the quarantine can also be placed on a workshop (p.16 Quarantine).
Regards Tournesol
Technically you can move the citizen from your estate to the workshop at any time, so yes, you're right. :)
A small mistake at 16:38. For each plague cube you removed, not just from your hex (it could be from an adjacent hex), advance 1 space on the popularity track.
True, that wasn't the best wording, apologies. 🙂
Will you also do a Solo explanation for this and Golem?
Unfortunately not, I don't have a capacity for that at the moment.

Games in a nutshell -> 43 min video. Ok
Well, these are really complicated games with lots of rules. I chose the name of the series long time ago and it's not easy to change that name now.
Its a 16 page rulebook, homie. Nutshell is correct.
@@readilium3432 is that supposed to be a lot?!?!
About 43 minutes worth.
Let me guess, you play a lot of solo games.
