This is 100000% a show that everyone should rewatch after they've finished it, I think that's another big reason why reaction content of this show always does so well
so true. before i watched any aot reactions, i didn't really understand anything abt the show. and after watching a couple reactions, I'm like "OHH SO THATS WHY" (because i can never pay 100% attention when watching shows)
Grisha is such a fascinating character. His whole story is told thrue flashbacks and yet he is so layered and your perspective on him changes litterly every time.
Eren: being born is the ultimate freedom and will fight the world who tries to take it away Zeke: being born was the ultimate curse and will save the world by stopping the cycle of birth The contrast is amazingly written between these two characters
Something I love about this season is the fact that we as viewers don't know what Eren is thinking. We followed him through three seasons, and we know him and how he thinks. And now, just as Armin and Mikasa, we don't know what he's thinking. We just see him acting completely opposite to the Eren we know. And I find it fascinating.
Idk… I felt a little bad, but the disgust I felt from the euthanasia plan was bigger. Get that bullshit out of here, no amount of trauma makes it ok for one person to think “damn, maybe I should force a vasectomy onto my entire race. I’m a goddamn hero!”
Nah, i had seen a couple of animes before. You start to notice who is gonna be the cool villain with tragic backstory and valid motivation just by the design lol.
the beauty of this show and what makes it one of the best pieces of media ever for me is the ambiguity of basically every aspect of human life. The complexity of hate, love, sadness, vengance, fear, hope and whatnot is shown so beautifully in images and dialogue, all the complex emotions and trains of thoughts the different characters go thorugh are relatable in some way cause you just understand where they're coming from given what they experienced. you think you got the villain or bad guys figured out after some screen time but then the show sidestabs you and flips it upside down. best example is gabis character development. the shows makes you hate her for the same reasons it made you love eren in the beginning

Nah I never liked the "If only I was never born into this world." How about "If only people were decent enough to not oppress and have hate and racism in their hearts." That is something to fight for. Which mindset would you want your son to have if he was bullied at school?
@@ZiadJimmy Zeke on his whole childhood never had an ounce of happiness, apart from the games of catch with Ksaver. Imagine forcing ones beliefs to the mind of a child. Plus, there is no convincing or modifying the bodies of Marleyans (the one persecuting Eldians) as the Founding Titan only can only do so on Eldians. So he's left with no choice here but to inherit Ksaver's titan and carry on his mission.
@@Wlof25 He literally has a monologue on the start of the "Hero" episode that says he feels sorry for them because the king robbed them of their memories.

When I watched this the first time, I came up with the same two solutions you have, it's fascinating: 1) There's no way Eren is going along with Zeke's plan, it's wildly out of character for him to do so. 2) If you make everyone infertile, why not make everyone unable to turn into titans instead? It would also make it irreversible since the founding titan's power would be gone
