The origins of the Heroes' Relics from Fire Emblem: Three Houses aren't particularly obscure, but the fact that they're all made from corpses that writhe and twitch when their "rightful wielders" hold them always gets me
Let's go! A nearly 50 minute early Christmas drop by Sarcow. What a time to be alive... One might say that the Christmas isn't the only thing that is going to _come_ early tonight 😏
I think it's safe to add Plants vs. Zombies to the list. How the zombies came to be is a can of worms in itself, not to mention the various deaths that are hinted at, such as Harvey Flaxcaster or various characters from the books.
I have some scary lore that hopefully fits. 1) Adam - Bioshock 1 & 2: Adam had a beginning that could be seen as harmless, a man breaks his arm and while on leave he finds a slug with a substance. Once he interacts with it, the substance heals his arm. The scary stuff comes after, as rapture starts studying and extracting Adam, which causes a domino effect that starts harming the society and it is the cause for splicers, little sisters, and big daddy’s. 2) Starkweather and Mr Nasty - Manhunt: the fact that these two are responsible for an underground snuff film ring with multiple movies already out is what gets me. Starkweather used to be an aspiring film maker, but once he started making films he didn’t have much success until he started making adult films and eventually Snuff films, with multiple stars like Piggsy, Rameraz and Cash
@@Sacrowim really glad that you found these to fit in the iceberg. I like them cause both show what happens to individuals in their own ways. With Adam showcasing what highly addictive substances can do to individuals and what they slowly could turn into and Manhunt showing the mental health of Starkweather’s snuff stars after their films were done. Piggsy himself is a big example as he is now mentally gone reduced to making pig noises and always referring himself in the third person like a child
I've been watching your videos for awhile and surprised I didn't subscribe to you! ( I just subscribed now lol ) I usually work while listening to your stuff. Your narrative commentary voice is amazing! Keep it up! Also, what music is playing each time you go down a layer? Sounds ominous.
Amazing video! This is exactly the kind of thing I love learning about and your delivery is excellent as always. I’d love to see you cover Dead by Daylight’s Void Realm as it has always been disturbing and unsettling to me
Fun fact: the bad futures of sonic cd reappears in sonic generations (HD), sonic 4 & sonic mania. In mania you can see elements of the bad future in stardust speedway act 2 in mania mode.
Dang caught this upload early, wasn't feeling myself tonight and wanted (needed?) something to watch to take my mind off it. Your video came i clutch. Originally found you/your channel from the "Exploring the Abandoned Internet" videos and, "The Internet Horror Iceberg Explained" video.
I would love to see Hollow Knight covered. Elden Ring too. ER has human puppets made by a sadistic sorcerer, and HK has the geno-side of a massive amount of young children. Edit: I recommend looking into Warhammer 40k aswell. Specifically the story of the Eldar God Isha, and her "husband" Nurgle.
Tis' the season to be jolly, Sacrow, the man, the myth, and the legend! Has posted a great new video! Keep up the good work man! I love your work! Every time i get bored at work, i listen to your creepypasta ritual. Yes, the 4 hour long one, and i never get bored! Thank you for your hard work! Keep up the good work!
Bloodborne has my favorite turn in video game history. It starts off as just your average day walking through downtown London, fending off hungry dogs and people wanting to shank you just cause you asked for directions, then all of a sudden you're fighting a beast who ripped its own skin off to get blood, a new born baby who uses its own placenta as a club and finding Arianna and her "child", only to kill both, take her shoes and eat the child's umbilical cord so you can fight a Great one and turn into a squid. best PlayStation exclusive, 10/10
regarding portal 2's ending: for all we know, this takes place long *after* the combine got wiped out we see a pristine landscape, and a field of wheat, something the combine would definitely confiscate, because it's a natural resource they could use themselves plus, if i'm not mistaken (according to google's first search result which is a reddit post, and according to combine overwiki's article about the timeline), portal 2 takes place at least 50 thousand years after portal 1 and considering that we don't see any traces of the combine in any of the portal games (energy pellets don't count, they were created by aperture), it's safe to assume that they never made it to aperture laboratories we see all kinds of scientific horrors in the facility, plus the ones that are only implied to exist (android hell, nanobots, sentient technology, etc.) and the facility is incredibly large, so there's a bunch of stuff we DON'T see AND the place is prepared for various apocalyptic events; in the event of something like an "animal king", a sentient cloud, or "other governing body that either refuses to or is incapable of listening to reason" taking over the world so the combine probably tried breaking in, to pillage the place, but they were successfully stopped, first by glados, then by the apocalypse prevention protocol and their defense systems, such as sentry turrets, or rocket turrets (for all we know, the cut hover turret and walking turret might also exist somewhere in the huge facility, we just don't see them in any portal game)
Oh boy here we go. I cant give you descriptions of my ideas as it would take hours to write them. Please look into: Alan Wake, Control, Pathologic, Signalis for the uncanny. All cRPGs - Id recommend Baldurs Gate 1-3, Icewind Dale, Tyranny, Pillars of Eternity - have vast lore and can be an iceberg each. Hidden, old gems are Might and Magic, Arx Fatalis, Myth 1-3 (highly underrated), Stalker, Metro and Thief.
Idk if anyone told ya this but you did a typo in the video categories. FO4 Valut 75 You meant for it to be Vault 75. Love the video btw. Maybe we can get some Kirby lore here too. Even though it’s likely people are gonna know it since it’s been pretty popular the last couple years.
lobotomy corporation : the fact the game is a time loop and the mc is sacrificing so many people to achieve his goals library of ruina: love town limbus company: the tearful thing
I've always loved games with creepy/bizarre lore! Especially from non-horror titles, it's just so cool seeing the contrast and all the bizarre ways the writers can build upon the world
I thought it was confirmed by Gabe that Half Life and Portal were connected? In the first game you find projectors in the board rooms where Aperture Science and Black Mesa were working together, and in the ending song of Portal 2, GLaDOS specifically mentions Black Mesa. And in the old testing chambers in the second half of the second game, you can find a secret underground ship dock with life preservers that mention the “Borealis” And in HL2 Ep 1(?) there is a part where Kliner was showing old footage of the Borealis’ launch, and the camera pans over and on one of the metal posts, you can clear as day see “Aperture Science” written on it. But Portal 2 takes place during HL2 Ep 2 I think?
Honestly fair not covering fnaf, im sure some people (me included) were thinking of that but theres too much and it also is super all over the place XD
Here’s definitely a strange but really f’ed up piece of lore In the funky game Fortnite where master chief can hit the Griddy on a clone trooper there is an insanely messed up creature/skin named gumbo that is definitely just straight up insanly evil for a sentient gumball machine A cool lad named Madmaxx66 did a great video on it
Let me know what game lore I should add to the next few parts. I love to hear what you all have to say.
Terraria has some disturbing lore, specifically surrounding the Corruption and Crimson.
Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time could be worth looking at, though i can’t remember how much of it is part of the main story or not.
Elite Dangerous's lore is all over the place.. maybe not a good idea.
Spiral Knights' lore is VERY obscure.
The origins of the Heroes' Relics from Fire Emblem: Three Houses aren't particularly obscure, but the fact that they're all made from corpses that writhe and twitch when their "rightful wielders" hold them always gets me
Fear and Hunger is worth a look

Yes
Ayo pause
Dude, seek help...........but, that was a brilliant play on words NGL. LOL. 😂😂😂😂😂

That's a good call

Merry Christmas man Hope you have a great one
You too!
GREAT VIDEO! Merry Christmas and I love icebergs thank you
Thanks for watching and merry Christmas!
Amazing video! This is exactly the kind of thing I love learning about and your delivery is excellent as always. I’d love to see you cover Dead by Daylight’s Void Realm as it has always been disturbing and unsettling to me
Consider it added
Fear & Hunger games have some pretty detailed and dark lore, probably worth looking into if you're intrested :D
Fun fact: the bad futures of sonic cd reappears in sonic generations (HD), sonic 4 & sonic mania. In mania you can see elements of the bad future in stardust speedway act 2 in mania mode.
So excited for this! I love dark hidden lore in video games.
I hope you enjoy the video

well i will say it's nice to see this is now a iceberg. ill listen to it in my Interesting topics playlist.
This is the best christmas present thank you Sacrow for these icebergs

Where did the intermission music go? That felt like a signature sound to me
Harvester and Phantasmagoria series. Great video!

I am already looking forward to part 2!
Big hype when I saw Legend of Dragoon covered! No doubt my favorite game from when I was a kid.

love me a sacrow drop.

You meant for it to be Vault 75. Love the video btw.
Maybe we can get some Kirby lore here too. Even though it’s likely people are gonna know it since it’s been pretty popular the last couple years.
I think the lore for the games The Enigma Machine, and Mothered would be a good fit for this series
Now the wait for part 2 begins
Elden Ring how the saint pots are made is pretty crazy too
I'll add it to the list, thanks.
Lets go my favorite youtuber dropped a video
lobotomy corporation : the fact the game is a time loop and the mc is sacrificing so many people to achieve his goals

Bloodborne in thumbnail, neuron activated
Dead Space has really cool lore surrounding the undead alien necromorphs
hell yeah
Honestly fair not covering fnaf, im sure some people (me included) were thinking of that but theres too much and it also is super all over the place XD
If enough people ask for it, I might cover the early games only or maybe specific aspects of the games.
Honestly whatever you wanna do, I think it'd be neat but I'm happy with this iceberg the way it is so far personally. Definitely enjoying it! :)
I couldn't click faster, LFG
Thanks, friend.
I'm sure Resident evil has a lot of disturbing lore( like Lisa Trevor's story or Los Illuminatos cult)
Bro, you gotta talk about Vault 11 from Fallout: New Vegas.
New Vegas is coming.
lmao skyrim's sithis stuff is so incredibly lame, it is disturbing how hard it fell off instead of being spooky.
Still need to play Legend of Dragoon.
It's good
Has anyone read "Brother, Where Are You?" creepypasta? Is it good or nah 😏
Here’s definitely a strange but really f’ed up piece of lore

Hi.
Good video
Morag Tong worships Mephala, not Sithis.

Not yet
It's only part 1!
10:15 bruh 💀
I cant be the only one that feels like this is an AI voice right?
niggas call anything AI
He's not but it's...certainly a choice to leave so much space between sentences. A bit grating.
2:06 So we punching foxes now?

It's always a good day when Sacrow uploads 🖤🤍
