- Today I am unboxing the Hasbro Black Series Clone Trooper Helmet! Let me just say that this thing is freaking awesome! Worth buying at least 2 but I would go for more. Here is my unboxing.

Stuff like this is why I'm glad we have actors in real clone trooper armor in the obi wan series and andor series....now that the actual armor exists maybe more companies will start selling clone trooper armor

The helmets on the CGI clonetroopers were made to look in proportion to their bodies. In real life this would've made the helmets way too small !! The physical helmet has to sized up to be wearable.

not necessarily the first clone trooper helmet hasbro has made, they made a phase 1 helmet awhile back for the clone wars series but yes this is first phase 2 trooper helmet hasbro has made

My Hasbro Pulse order just shipped yesterday! Was surprised as well to see them getting these out before the expected May 2023 date that I was originally told when I pre-ordered it
Pre-ordered 2 from BBTS when announced, and got them about a month or so ago. Was an instant decision for me. I just need to get off my butt and open up.
I was so looking forward to this. There are a few small differences from the actual helmet and I was ok with those. I'm not expecting these to be of a MR or a DN quality, though if someone from DN sees this, and they should, the one thing their buckets are missing are the cool interiors! But back to this. The one thing that really throws me off on the accuracy is that visor. It's the wrong shape, and it also does not have the detailing found around the "eyes." It's completely glaring the first time I saw it. I don't know why Hasbro missed that entirely; I don't know how they could if they were paying attention! That said, I may still pick up one for the reasons you mentioned...customizing it!
What part of the visor is the wrong shape? The little "wrinkle" around the bottom outside edge of the visor is an odd omission but I would barely call it glaring

Mine ships out next week. I'm definitely torn between painting it as boost or comet. I already have a 3d printer phase 2 commander wolffe helmet that turned out great! This will be much easier to work with though 🤣
What type of paint are you planning on using? Would normal spray paint work

I preordered and just got mine in the mail today. I love it, its so cool, but yes the "voice changing" sucked. I was really disappointed with that. It shouldn't be marketed as a voice changing helmet when it sounds just like a $20 mask.
Huge fan of Star Wars though so I do love The Black Series

Has anyone tried using the helmet with actual EVA foam or 3D printed armor? I’m worried that mine will be too big and look odd with armor on-unless I could somehow make the armor really really bulky

Quick question highly doubt Imma get this answered straightly but how good is the material on the helmet, can it withstand a 6mm .20g BB and can it take a beating.

I have one from Amazon but it was 80 and was before these came out, mines painted like commander thorn
I got mine this morning and Overall the helmet looks amazing and the quality is top notch.
However the voice changing does little to no effect like it advertised.
How long did yours take to ship?

Why do Hasbro make the helmets look so cool but all the sound voice changers are utter dog💩
I’m not a fan of this one. As much as I like other BS helmets that have come out before (Fett, Vader, Bo-Katan, Mando, First Order trooper…) this one feels like they missed the mark. I already own a couple of phase II clone helmets and I think that even though they were more expensive, they came ready to wear; weathered with plenty of soft padding inside and they look a lot more screen accurate than this one.
For the sake of god take off your mic from T-shirt when trying the distorted voice hahah it gets mixed up
Kinda annoyed every time they use a voice changer it's this wierd distorted deep voice. It should just amplify your voice and make it kinda staticky. Sounds nothing like a clone

Actually the first trooper phase 1 helmet hasbro made came pretty close to the voice actor used in the clone wars series

Have to disagree. Saw it and played with a display at Disneyland. It looks like terribly cheap plastic. Absolutely no weathering or shadowing makes it look like a cheaply made rendition. Most Black Series Helmets look great for the price point this is probably one of the worst.
Why do American adults love kids toys? Isn’t even screen accurate. It’s for children.

If Hasbro is smart they can get a lot of mileage out of repainting this thing. I know we're already getting the 332nd version but there are a lot of other ones they can do.
