You absolutely should ask for your money back on the room. A mice infestation is not acceptable and no one should have to pay to stay in a room with that problem.
That would make sure they ask for their money back but they really need to call the Better Business bureau to make sure the people do something about the rat infestation! Something like that should never happen to anybody else again

Because of the kinds of people they rent to and their poor habits, everyone of the developments that comprise the low-income public housing where I reside at HAVE mice(and roach) infestation so bad on every floor in every apartment. Nothing I have tried to help remedy this situation in my apartment DON'T WORK as I have two-legged pigs as neighbors. Most have pets, but even with some who don't have pets, even they have mice and roach infestation! In fact, as far back from 1994 to 1996, a nearby low-income public housing development HAD INTERIOR/EXTERIOR work done because of this problem. Repairs from the inside out, were done and the mice and roach infestation at that development got under control. The development where I live at WAS slated to be next for interior/exterior work, but the manager of the development was an A-HOLE and bailed out. His lame excuse was that it WASN'T feasible citing lack of funding, which was BS and yet, there were(and still) are problem tenants that needed/need to be evicted and he DIDN'T want to take on the task of having the development having that kind of workup because all he cared for was rent over the safety and health of the residents. To this day, this problem continues. Imagine that? If I could, I'd vacate and move to somewhere more safer with mice /roach infestation under control, but I can't because of financial hardships that I have no control over.

My grandparents went on vacations with us when I was a child. I remember when we were in Kansas camping at a KOA we were all woken up by my grandpa who was assaulted while sleeping by a mouse plucking what little hair he had left from his head. I still remember him holding his slipper, ready to strike, saying “Here mousey, mousey”.

Separate bedrooms As soon as our daughter moved out I got my own room! Snoring, talking to the dog in his sleep turning TV on in the middle of the night He says let’s make the room an office I said Oh no I am getting my own bedroom! We still visit! 😉

I use to work night shift! 12 half hr each night. For a few nights I keep having the feeling that samething with fur run up and down my back. {{Yes i use to sleep nude us girl's can do that 2.}} Told myself that one of my cats got into the room and we're going under the blankets. NOfv found a tiny mice in my bed when I strip my bed that weekend. I scream step back on to one my cat's that I had been trying to get into my bed. Let just say Midnight didn't get the mouse, Daylight did. From that day on I left my bedroom door open for my cat's 2 to sleep in my room when ever they like. I had a feeling one them brought it in to the house in the first place Oh, Midnight was a White cat, and Daylight was my Black cat😹
Only slept in separate beds when just the movement of the bed covers caused me pain due to chemotherapy, and my husband tried so hard not to move,as the treatment went on it got worse so I slept in the spare room with just a soft fleece blanket,😢
I wouldn’t sleep at all with mice running around either. Hopefully this new place will be a lot better. Happy Birthday Lester. This is a birthday that you will always remember.

Oh my goodness!! I absolutely do not blame you. Mice and rats have diseases that are really bad. I would have left, too. I did notice that you had used the tub, so good for you. Yup, finding a room in May is always a challenge. Lester, I’m glad you aren’t a “hourly “ type of guy. Currently, we have separate rooms because he’s going through some surgery things. He doesn’t sleep well and then my snoring keeps him awake.🙁

Traveling with a cat or two is always an option! Im not afraid of mice or rats but I wouldn't want one in my bedroom, walking on me, waking me up, nor in my house. My cats probably wouldn't mind. Lol. 😅
Jamie, I don't like rats or mice either. I was lodging in a back country shelter once, after hiking with a 70lb backpack for miles. As soon as I was heating the food over a fire, dozens of rats came out of hiding for the food. Needless to say, I did as you. I packed up and left. Hiked out in the dark. I've not been back. 😂
So sad...I LOVED that cabin! Huge tub, fireplace, kitchen area...dang awesome! But even 1 mouse sucks...I can't imagine the horror of a family of those things!!! My sister and her husband actually have separate rooms. She has RA and doesn't sleep well because of her joint pain and they both snore. I hope you did let them know there were mice. If they hadn't rented the cabin out for a while they honestly might not have known.

I am not afraid of mice, but the thought they may have pooped a peed in my bed and they can carry diseases would get me out of there just as fast as you and straight to a shower. 🐭 I think separate beds may be the reason some marriages last into the 40 and 50 year range.
I am with you Jami. Had a mouse issue in our house some. We got 4 rescue cats and one night I heard a noise. Found 4 cats surrounding a little mouse. Now when my youngest cat has a mouse she wants to gift it to me. Thank God I haven't seen or heard a mouse for a very long time. Knock on wood.

When Jami mentioned that they reared up at her, I thought that sounds more like a rat than a mouse. I was shocked that you were throwing your clothes on the floor of the place. I’m really careful when traveling to put me suitcase in the bathtub ( to keep any potential bedbugs out of it). Same reason for keeping my clothes, shoes, etc off the floor. I pull the sheets down and check the mattresses for any signs of bedbugs and I’m sure to take the bedspread completely off, because they don’t wash it like they do the sheets (hopefully).

Thank God y'all aren't dealing with homelessness like me. I was staying in a camper one night and rolled over to see the cutest little mouse looking at me with it's cute little round ears! Talk about getting back outside in a hurry!! I'm afraid of mice, snakes, spiders, opossums and many other things! I never dreamt at 62 years old I would be disabled and homeless. Yep. State Farm represented a rich client off took into the fifth year and whole time they would send demand letters asking how I was managing my place. They stuck damages on me and failed to pay in full. Not one dollar of career loss. One thing I thought is if disabled and elders not getting rehired could do videos or get entrepreneurialship.

Ohhh I feel ur pain 1000 %. I had a mouse in my house a couple of months back and if my anxiety wasn’t bad before , this escalated wayyyy more. I got to the point of not sleeping because my mind was thinking “ if I close my eyes they could get on my bed”. The thought of not knowing what they are doing when I can’t see them freaks me right out. I would cry just thinking about what they were doing … I hated it. Placed poison around the place and found a hole that they could have got in and plugged it with steel wool. Haven’t seen any since. So Jami .. I’m with u 💕
I also wouldn’t put poison down if I had any animals in my home but I don’t. I do t like the idea of them dying and I just smelling them .. but I was assured by a pest control company that it was the right thing to do.

I was in a traveling group in high school where we stayed in homes as we toured. My bunkmate and I were given the basement rec room foldout bed in a home in Jacksonville Florida. We woke up around 2 am to cockroaches EVERYWHERE. All over the bed...the floor was moving...It was like a horror movie!!! We grabbed our stuff and spent the rest of the night sitting at the kitchen table upstairs with every light on. If we'd had transportation we'd have been out of there too!

Nope, nope, nope! 😮 I would have been out of there too! 😅 My hubby and I the past couple of years (been married 35 years this September!), sleep in separate rooms during the week. Besides the fact that he snores like a freight train 😂🤣 he also works afternoon shift. He would disturb me late in the night when he got home and I would disturb him early in the morning when I was leaving for work. It has worked so well for us 😊👌
Absolutely, you should ask for a refund. You are not being overly sensitive in doing so because there is NO WAY the property manager didn’t already know there was an infestation, yet they rented the property anyway. One mouse is acceptable, but an infestation is a health and safety issue. PLEASE request a refund? They ruined your evening AND your birthday, but one day you’ll have a good laugh about it! I'd sleep in my car if I had too. Definitely would not have been able to sleep in there knowing there's mice running around. Me and my husband went to a hotel at a beach one time really nice one how did jacuzzi in the room and everything and there were termites that decided around night time to start swarming the room, they were everywhere flying crawling, we loaded up and moved out too
I guess i grew up differently😆 I'm not scared. I lived in the middle of the woods as a kid. (Yellow wood state forest) It was a really beautiful house but The mice would run across my chest when i slept.😆 We had traps set for over 6months. We caught at least 40 mice during that time. They multiply fast! They can have multiple liters in one year & up to 35 BABIES in 12 months.
Im not scared of mice, but a whole bunch of them under the bed? Thats a whole new level. Yep could have been rats, tell the owners, get a refund. That sucks. I live near a river and rats sometimes come up to my house, but my two cats and small dogs deal to them before they get into the house. Happy Birthday Lester, stay strong and carry on!
Yikes!! I'm gonna venture to say what ran across Lester's neck in the middle of the night was one of the roaches that were crawling all over outside the motel door at the 6 minute mark!! You want to know what happened to me last summer I went to ohio hocking hills stayed at a cabin woke up in the middle of the night and a raccoon was standing over top of me and my husband.. needless to say i had nightmares for weeks

We we can’t work things, than we are not going to sleep separately. Together til death do us part! But that’s only my belief. But I totally understand if you have medical issues!❤❤❤
Fortunately I’m not afraid of 🐁 mice but waking up to them would be startling. My mom will imagine there are mice if she hears a noise. Rats 🐀 are much more bold then mice.

My husband and I had a favorite place with many memories. Life took us away for 4 years. We reserved this Cabin on a Lake for us and our grown daughters and their families back in April of this year. . We were so excited, until we went up one day earlier to have one day and night to ourselves. The owners had let their grown daughter and her husband take over 3 yrs. before. They let our beautiful Cabin on a beautiful Lake get run down. It was so heartbreaking. A once breathtaking place was now not any longer. We will never go back now. We celebrated 4 birthday's all together at that Cabin . other memories are all we have left. It is like a death. So sorry Jamie and you to Lester. Happy Birthday any how. With that beautiful wife with her giant heart, I sure she made up for all of it with her heart and her love for you! 💕 Love you Guy's and Gal's so very much! ❤💕

I am not afraid of mice, but the thought they may have pooped a peed in my bed and they can carry diseases would get me out of there just as fast as you and straight to a shower. 🐭 I think separate beds may be the reason some marriages last into the 40 and 50 year range.

I am with you Jami. Had a mouse issue in our house some. We got 4 rescue cats and one night I heard a noise. Found 4 cats surrounding a little mouse. Now when my youngest cat has a mouse she wants to gift it to me. Thank God I haven't seen or heard a mouse for a very long time. Knock on wood.

My daughter-in-law would put the mouse in their bathtub for them to play with. Now if they catch a mouse they take it to the tub and “play with”

When Jami mentioned that they reared up at her, I thought that sounds more like a rat than a mouse. I was shocked that you were throwing your clothes on the floor of the place. I’m really careful when traveling to put me suitcase in the bathtub ( to keep any potential bedbugs out of it). Same reason for keeping my clothes, shoes, etc off the floor. I pull the sheets down and check the mattresses for any signs of bedbugs and I’m sure to take the bedspread completely off, because they don’t wash it like they do the sheets (hopefully).
I cant blame you at all, i would have been freaked out myself. You shouldnt have to ask for your money back they should have refunded it on the spot. Happy Birthday Lester🎉

Thank God y'all aren't dealing with homelessness like me. I was staying in a camper one night and rolled over to see the cutest little mouse looking at me with it's cute little round ears! Talk about getting back outside in a hurry!! I'm afraid of mice, snakes, spiders, opossums and many other things! I never dreamt at 62 years old I would be disabled and homeless. Not many can even imagine. Im glad you guys got out and found a better place to sleep!

Yep. State Farm represented a rich client off took into the fifth year and whole time they would send demand letters asking how I was managing my place. They stuck damages on me and failed to pay in full. Not one dollar of career loss. One thing I thought is if disabled and elders not getting rehired could do videos or get entrepreneurialship.

My hubs & I have slept together for the last 20 years but he has blood cancer now & just had a Stem Cell transplant so he’s now staying in the guest room for the next month.

Ohhh I feel ur pain 1000 %. I had a mouse in my house a couple of months back and if my anxiety wasn’t bad before , this escalated wayyyy more. I got to the point of not sleeping because my mind was thinking “ if I close my eyes they could get on my bed”. The thought of not knowing what they are doing when I can’t see them freaks me right out. I would cry just thinking about what they were doing … I hated it. Placed poison around the place and found a hole that they could have got in and plugged it with steel wool. Haven’t seen any since. So Jami .. I’m with u 💕
I would never use poison for fear a dog, cat, bird of prey would eat the poisoned rodent and die too.
I also wouldn’t put poison down if I had any animals in my home but I don’t. I do t like the idea of them dying and I just smelling them .. but I was assured by a pest control company that it was the right thing to do.
My husband and I sleep in different rooms. I KICK while I'm sleeping and I SNORE. so we got different rooms. Works out great 😃

I was in a traveling group in high school where we stayed in homes as we toured. My bunkmate and I were given the basement rec room foldout bed in a home in Jacksonville Florida. We woke up around 2 am to cockroaches EVERYWHERE. All over the bed...the floor was moving...It was like a horror movie!!! We grabbed our stuff and spent the rest of the night sitting at the kitchen table upstairs with every light on. If we'd had transportation we'd have been out of there too!

My hubby and I the past couple of years (been married 35 years this September!), sleep in separate rooms during the week. Besides the fact that he snores like a freight train 😂🤣 he also works afternoon shift. He would disturb me late in the night when he got home and I would disturb him early in the morning when I was leaving for work. It has worked so well for us 😊👌

Absolutely, you should ask for a refund. You are not being overly sensitive in doing so because there is NO WAY the property manager didn’t already know there was an infestation, yet they rented the property anyway. One mouse is acceptable, but an infestation is a health and safety issue. PLEASE request a refund? They ruined your evening AND your birthday, but one day you’ll have a good laugh about it! I'd sleep in my car if I had too. Definitely would not have been able to sleep in there knowing there's mice running around. Me and my husband went to a hotel at a beach one time really nice one how did jacuzzi in the room and everything and there were termites that decided around night time to start swarming the room, they were everywhere flying crawling, we loaded up and moved out too
I guess i grew up differently😆 I'm not scared. I lived in the middle of the woods as a kid. (Yellow wood state forest) It was a really beautiful house but The mice would run across my chest when i slept.😆 We had traps set for over 6months. We caught at least 40 mice during that time. They multiply fast! They can have multiple liters in one year & up to 35 BABIES in 12 months.
Im not scared of mice, but a whole bunch of them under the bed? Thats a whole new level. Yep could have been rats, tell the owners, get a refund. That sucks. I live near a river and rats sometimes come up to my house, but my two cats and small dogs deal to them before they get into the house. Happy Birthday Lester, stay strong and carry on!
Yikes!! I'm gonna venture to say what ran across Lester's neck in the middle of the night was one of the roaches that were crawling all over outside the motel door at the 6 minute mark!! You want to know what happened to me last summer I went to ohio hocking hills stayed at a cabin woke up in the middle of the night and a raccoon was standing over top of me and my husband.. needless to say i had nightmares for weeks

My husband and I had a favorite place with many memories. Life took us away for 4 years. We reserved this Cabin on a Lake for us and our grown daughters and their families back in April of this year. . We were so excited, until we went up one day earlier to have one day and night to ourselves. The owners had let their grown daughter and her husband take over 3 yrs. before. They let our beautiful Cabin on a beautiful Lake get run down. It was so heartbreaking. A once breathtaking place was now not any longer. We will never go back now. We celebrated 4 birthday's all together at that Cabin . other memories are all we have left. It is like a death. So sorry Jamie and you to Lester. Happy Birthday any how. With that beautiful wife with her giant heart, I sure she made up for all of it with her heart and her love for you! 💕 Love you Guy's and Gal's so very much! ❤💕
