Just a note to anyone thinking of getting a 1st Swing, it takes AA batteries and I'm not sure 2 would last the day so 4 rechargeable batteries would be my recommendation fully charged for the day 👍
I have the MT-XR, but I like the look of the Nokta. I think because the Nokta has a smaller coil therefore a tighter search field is why it is better at detecting coins closer together. I might invest in the Nokta.
These are not DD coils so you’re not likely to get both. But you will likely get both coins if you pinpoint. Also checking the hole after digging the first coin you will signal the second coin. I’m still buying the 1st Swing for my grandson.
Hi Robert thanks for the comment, yea as a friend in America always says first day at Detecting school is check the holes 😂😂 I found the 1st Swing to be quite good it got both on a slow swing quite well and the Dr Otek not at all unless very very slow. I think it is a great choice for the older kids and people to just have a go we got one of our Grandsons a Midi Hoard same detector but looks a bit toyish with the green. Hope your Grandson finds nice stuff 👍👍
I think each machine has it's own merits, the MT-XR has more features, bigger coil and is more an Adult size, the 1st Swing is waterproof and does a good job, it's a turn on and go machine but works well I found big old pre decimal coins 6"/7" down with a good signal so it's works well and is big enough I'm 6' tall and it's ok for me and the wife so which would I buy as my first metal detector Mmm probably the 1st Swing but the MT-XR is ok you just need to swing a bit slower, hope this helps but either would be a good introduction to Metal Detecting. Also check out the Nokta Simplex Light a bit more money but a great machine, thanks for the comment 👍
Yea just thought I'd have a look to see how good they were, the 1st Swing is the midi just black we got our grandsons one each last year, got to say they both had them in the water and there still going, I mean under the water messing around in the sea Haha but time will tell, thanks for the comment 👍
Normally I'm not a Poindexter about things, but "Actually 🤓" Coors was founded by Germans, and most of your domestic lagers are based on German Pale Lagers.
Sorry if that sounded random. I know it's an older video and you don't memorize everything. You had found a Coor's Banquet can and said to your audience: "I don't know why people drink this stuff, go German.". Just thought it was funny 😎@@rudigginit
@@gobstoppa1633 good advice slow and low and check signal from different directions but I've found so good stuff with detector's costing less than £120 👍👍

It's a very well put together machine, I dug up a coin on my swing very easy to use 👍
Good test cheers 👌
Thanks 👍
Great information, thank you, much appreciated. 👍👍👍
You are very welcome

Thanks for the video though. Just confirms my purchase.

hello, in overhaul for a beginner what do you recommend? Where i live the Nokta 1st Swing is 130 € and the Dr Otek Mt-Xr 143 €. Thank you in advance

They got the recovery speed tuned way down to max the depth. BTW 1st swing will fail in waterproof test.

CHEAPIE MACHINES NEED A SLOW SWEEP AT ALL TIMES, STEADY AWAY AND DONT RUSH OR YOU WILL MISS THINGS.
