After many requests from my lovely American students, I finally decided to open a youtube channel entirely dedicated to people from the U.S. that LOVE Italian and Italy.
The Natural Method I suggest you follow is based on the concept of MASSIVE LISTENING to INTERESTING and COMPREHENSIBLE Italian.
It worked for hundreds of thousands of people I helped since 2013.
By doing that using the advantages of being an adult, you will naturally absorb the Italian language so that when you'll try to speak words will come out without you stressing about grammar rules, verb conjugations, articles, etc...
You'll know the right way because you followed the right principles that allow your brain to learn Italian.
It will be just a matter of time before Italian will be yours!

Krashen was correct. Studied French in school for 2 years, still can't hold a decent conversation although I can conjugate verbs all day.
After only 2 months of just listening to natural conversations in Italian, phrases and thoughts are coming to me without thought. It's become clear that language does indeed come from a subconscious part of our brain. The interview with Luca Lamperiello on the Italiano Automatico site is gold. I am waiting for Italian for Polish😉 I like the pace of your spoken Italian here. Majority of the you tube learning channels with Italian teachers are too difficult for the beginners in my opinion mainly because they speak too fast!!

I wish you would continue this series.
These videos are perfect for me just as they are. For me, the level of the vocabulary used is fine. I'm concerned that if the vocabulary were "dumbed down" it would become less interesting and less useful. The speed of the speaking is also perfect for me at this point but perhaps should slowly speed up as the series progresses.
I liked all of the topics suggested in this #03 video of the series and I am anxious to get going on them. Another topic idea would be to work with a second person to present a typical short conversation when (a) meeting someone for the first time and (b) meeting a personal friend and, for example, agreeing to got to a film together on the weekend.
I checked out the Dreaming Spanish channel mentioned by the other commenter. For me, the approach used there was good but not quite as engaging as the approach being used here on the Italian for Americans channel. However, there were some very good ideas for topics on the Dreaming Spanish channel.
Thanks for creating this channel. At least for me, it is helping me advance more rapidly in my Italian language ability and I anxiously await each new installment of the series.
I was wondering if you made more of slow italian - series number 04, 05, 06 and so on? I only receive the first 3 of the series. Thanks

This is what I want to learn; conversational Italian. Thank you. A suggestion I have seen listed before: tell us some interesting things about some Italian Cities, places, districts. Also interested in food and culture. I am always interested in why people live as they do or why they do what they do. Maybe something on why some American travelers don't fit in. I think that some travelers expect people in other counties to treat us as if we were still in America. How can we be more polite in our interactions with locals?

Ciao Alberto! Thank you for starting this special series for beginners. I also found some of your older videos where you were speaking slowly. The subtitles in both English and Italian definitely help! I will be applying for dual citizenship and have a meeting scheduled with the Italian Consulate in 2022. I would love to be able to speak with them in Italian instead of English. Anything you can suggest to help me at least start there would be appreciated. I also love learning about culture, the different parts of Italy, and Italian history. Grazie Mille!
