  • In this video we paint the plunge pool an interesting green colour, the demolition continues on the outbuildings, I give a quick tour of our stone building, some scaffold goes up, I collect fallen oranges, I remove some metal bars from the granite posts and I talk about the future of the channel and upcoming videos.

    Loved this vid too. If it was your aim to give a look of surprise then you achieved it. Made me laugh again you obviously have a dry, quiet sense of humour. Good plan to check the other posts! lol Looking forward to next week.

    If you are going to put cement on the cellar floor, use the iron you took from the vines so that the cement does not crack and becomes more resistant, it is just an idea, hugs and good work.

    Thank you for sharing your work, projects, and new adventures with us. You are bringing new life to a sad place--I like restorations and enjoy your efforts--and yeas I know something about other countries, culture, and materials available--even after 50 yrs i say to my husband (how he does it) that is so American.

    You need a wood chipper, if you haven't got it yet. It is a serious help plus the mulch is useful for the plants and trees

    Another great video , well done on the progress made. I lke the pool paint, as it is not the usual blue . I hope the rain didnt do damage to it, during the 7day drying/ curing period. Love those out buildings, so much potential there. That doorway onto the side road is a great plus too. Love the vines around the door i would try to keep some of it for its charm. Just a word of advise , use your knees more when bending and picking things up. You seem to be just bending your back. You must of back ache some days with all that bending and lifting

    Congratulations on 7k subs well deserved and should be more (hopefully soon).
    I was very surprised when you came up in my UA-cam recommendations on your very first video never had that happen before. I do watch a lot of similar channels but yours is the most relaxing one which I love.
    Definitely go for the sponsorship, renovating like this costs a lot of money and UA-cam revenue is not as great as people like to think.
    As you get bigger the "You should do..." Lot will appear, the armchair critics ignore as best you can this is your home do it your way and at your pace 😊
    Your wife seems lovely and IF and when she is ready to talk would love to hear her HOWEVER do not feel pressured to do it it should not be a forced thing ever.
    Mila is gorgeous 🥰

    I have to ask Michael 🤔 did you employ a stunt double for Mila 😂, never seen her actually move before , she is always laying down in the shade , great frisbee action Mila 👌🏻. Pool looks great and yeah I think majority of subscribers understand you need sponsorship and the cash & hopefully items you can use on your projects . Nice update and plans sound good 👍🏻, well done on 7000 subs , have a great week.

    Your property is beautiful. It has a lot of potential - and a lot of work for many years.
    Could you please adjust the settings of your UA-cam channel a bit. You could turn on automatic subtitles. My native language is not English, although I understand it quite a lot. However, when watching videos, I tend to turn on English subtitles. English subtitles help me to understand the speech better. With the help of subtitles, you can also learn new words and colloquial sayings, even new English dialects.
    P.S. Your partner does not speak directly to the audience in the video. It would also be nice to hear her thoughts and opinions, what she thinks it's like to live in and renovate an old house in Portugal.

    • @michaelboalch
      @michaelboalch  Рік тому

      Thank you. As for subtitles, I like to type them out them for every video. The automatic subtitles never work very well. I'm still working on them for this video, they will be ready soon.

    I believe the studio apartment would look fantastic with glass bricks in the roof to let in beams of light. You could repurpose the old angle line that you removed from the post to create a frame for the glass bricks. This frame could then be fixed into the roof, as demonstrated in the video link.
