My 1998 xt225 serrow 1st gear 35kmh 2nd gear 53kmh 3rd 83max 5 and 6 highway speed I have a Canadian model many upgrades very fast 21.5 hp I bumped it to match xt 250 same size bore amd piston with oversize rings to match 71.25mm bore. Rides awesome. Mine was mad December 1998 12th month last one made for Canada.check nibbi carburetor 28mm it works great. No choke necessary mine starts first crank over
Is that really a 2007 model? Here in Asia, my late father in law bought a 2006 model but it has rear disc brakes. The bike is left with me with no more than 3,000 kilometers on it to this day.

Great reliable easy to ride dual sport. I've bought and sold a few bikes over the years but mine isnt for sale.
Does this bike handle hills very well? Steep hills? What gear do I need to be in?

the 2007 model year was rear disc, I don't think yamaha made the change until the xt250 came out in 2008
