In the philippines, those dried fish here is called "bulad or tuyo" and we fry them before we eat them. So good, and can save u alot of money if ur a college student here.
I've watched other videos like this but nothing compares. I love how you don't talk and you just enjoy the meals you eat. Being able to see how other countries have various types of food is awesome I'm from the United States and I wish we had such a variety
We do have variety, we're just bored with it. Japan has rice crackers and weird drinks, but so do we. We have lots of different kinds of chips/crisps, and so many kinds of beverages. But we've been around them all our lives.
I love these videos so much! As a white suburban Australian kid I always found Asian supermarkets to be like a magical portal to another much more exciting world than the one I lived in and would buy anything and everything just to try it - just like this. Twenty something years later and I’m still doing it and wishing I could travel to Singapore or Japan or anywhere really. Hopefully we can all be vaccinated and back on planes before the end of this year!
Sadly yes, may that change sooner than later! As a Indian born and raised in Toronto, my parents being from Trinidad. Many are no where near like the sad stories you hear there. Trinidad has so many interesting snacks and drinks too! Sad to lose out because some are being bad. Very cool comment. I feel like this entering Portuguese bakeries
You know getting vaccinated now doesn't make you safe to travel? The vaccinations out there now sadly don't cover the newest mutations of the virus that has gotten on loose. 😟
I like how they dump all contents out, so you can see how much is really in packaging! I enjoy seeing the different unique ways to open or use the packages too!
For the Apple Juice, there's a small white plastic cap just on top of the metal cap. That's the reusuable cap. We drank a whole bottle of this yesterday and it was super tasty.
Martinelli's sparkling apple cider is like this -- with the plastic white cap on top. If you want something similar to the apple juice in the vid, try Martinelli's in America. It's carbonated, but very fresh tasting, and much much cheaper than US$13.
The grilled sardine can be eaten after the head and guts are removed, then they can be eaten straight up, mixed with a noodle dish, or be used in making the best stock/broths in the world
You just don’t understand anything in vobla! As we call it in my country. It’s a snack that doesn’t need any further preparation. If you need a broth or whatever, why you should take a dried fish with too much salt? It’s just a crazy idea.
That's not my dream, I want more! Unless it's freshly pressed and unprocessed apple juice, that's an entirely different beast. 1 liter is fine for that. The tannins are too strong more than that
The reuseable top is actually that white plastic cap that’s on top the metal cap when you open the wrapper! It snaps onto the top to keep it fresh :)! I drink a lot of apple drinks like that, and I notice the big bottles always have a plastic cap to reclose it ( most brands ). I hope that helped! Im going to search for a milk drink similar lol it looked so goood!
Making a comment like this, saying a food from a different culture is inedible, is very racist. Its ok to not like things, but do you really have to be disrespectful about it?
Most drinks taste better like that, like the soda for instance so you don’t put your mouth on the metal part, I think they mostly do it to show what it looks like lol
Japanese snacks and food packaging may look weird, but they are the best. My most favorite Japanese snack is Pocky. Great snack and you can do the pocky game with your friends ;)
I absolutely love watching all your videos but these ones where you try different snacks from supermarkets are brilliant. Keep up the good work. Hope to see that pretty girl too.
I wish other countries like Canada where I live and the US would have these simple types of snacks that are very well preserved and wrapped so you can enjoy a nice snack without having to go to the bakery to the restaurant I love this channel there’s so many unique things to look at especially the stuff he’s getting from the grocery stores unbelievably cool
Recently came across your video's, love watching you test out all these neat treats, and love the rain/water in the background, very relaxing. Keep up the amazing content.
Hi 😊 I'm from Newfoundland 🇨🇦 and the fish looks just like what we call Capelin..we salt and sundry them and eat the whole thing..a beer with it is a must! This is a typical Newfie snack early summer when we can catch these fish rolling in on beaches to spawn
There's DonKi in Singapore???? Man, you guys are having it nice there 😭 FYI, DonKi or Don Quixote is a brand of Japanese store that literally have everything in there, from hardwares to clothes to foods and drinks, even souvenirs. One store in Shibuya (their biggest one) occupies an entire building just for them for the sheer number of variety of things they have
I'd sooner eat the sardines than the squid tentacles. I eat calamari, sure, but not all naked and rubbery like that. To me it's just chewy and flavorless.
I like it when you don't bother clean your messy stuffs like spill juice or flying snack and just enjoy it🤣. So raw man!! Kind of used to it after watching your 3rd video.
We have a dish here that is similar with the dried sardine. It is usually cooked first by pan frying or by grilling. It is best eaten as breakfast with sunny side up eggs and fried rice. Sometimes it is also mixed into soups for extra umami flavor.
Apple juice ferments, unless it is sulfited. As soon as that bottle was opened, it would be subject to fermentation (from wild yeast in the air). Dangerous for a glass bottle.
