Most of them were reprised from the late 80's while the number were recasted due to their obvious reasons. Example would be Sugibro voiced as Tatewaki Kuno because two voice actors were passed away due to sickness
The majority of the original cast reprised their roles, good thing too. The moment the remake was greenlit Megumi phoned Kappei and asked if he was going to reprise the role, and she said she wasn't going to do it if he didn't. I'm sure the anime community can't accept both Ranma being portrayed by anyone but these 2 veterans. After all, it's common sense in the seiyuu industry that one does not take on a Hayashibara Megumi role when the queen of voice acting herself is still active. You do not steal her thunder, that's just bad manners. Man, that last one is just sad, only one role and it's a background character. Probably a rookie seiyuu, although to be able to participate in one of Takahashi's famed work right out of seiyuu school is no small honor, even if it's just a minor role.
