The f4j plays in an other dimension then the f4e. Pulse doppler and aim7f make so much of a difference.
@@konstantin-vi4hy Still prefer the F-4E the 4J is a fucking bus and with the amount of countermeasures around I still get loads of kills with the gun, which is trash on the 4J.
@@zackbobby5550 i kinda understand the f4e has automatic leafing edge flaps and in the f4j you have to do it manualy but if you can properly use the flaps i dont see any difference in the performance of the two jets. Tbh i think the f4j has better turning performance cause the ailorons on the j act as flaps too

I was thinking the same thing. Like fuck right off. I'm over here living Top Gun in every fucking match just to make 5K RP if I'm fucking lucky. If I could go any harder I'd make a fucking youtube channel about it.

Don’t forget how op that plane is, I can only really play f4C and maybe harrier due to rewards. Both are not meta because compared to f5c it dogwater. Repair cost is a big factor and despite fact it’s repair is way below tier average it’s premium so it’s like 2x boosted for sl. Best plane at that tier is premium.
Also I am proudly almost done with US air grind. Until updates with tho it a premium

A good thing to consider for future grinding is where you think a plane will be added in the future. I knew that the F-14 would be added to the naval line at some point to I finished that line first.
It’s also likely that the F-16 will be added after the F-5E so if you want that I would start finishing that line.
Tried to tell people this but they never listen.
Tip of the day: grind the F4E if you want the F-15A

I love it when I am flying and I hit and invisible wall
It took me 12 solid hours, 10am to 10 pm, to grind through the complete RP for F4J and the F14 just to be able to buy them. With the F5C I made over 3+ mill SL only for it to be deleted when buying these 2 planes. And that was with 1-3 kills every match or so.
Was the grind worth it, after buying GE just to be able to spade some of the F14 to be competitive? Meh, I guess lol.

@@notdb9949 I do be pretty ass. Been playing in jets for a solid year now and still suck at them, a lot. Be-6 is still my favorite plane by far, too. Shit’s nutty for SL making (130k a match on average)

Its brutal, difference is, it ends sooner. Otherwise, it would be the brutal neverending grind, cause you'll be dead before you get there.
@@notdb9949 keep in mind that the F-5 ingame currently have only 5% channel loss for their thrust.
it should be around 28%. thats why they fly like UFO's
its been reported multiple times and and gaijin keeps ignoring it since the F-5C is their golden goose

Bought the a2d 8 weeks ago because after I started playing war-thunder again I had tons of unspent golden eagles from my days grinding USSR back in 2020, decided to play USA and was best I could afford, grinded rank 2 all the way through 5 with it in three weeks, bought f-5c during a 30% sale later on Xbox and had the f4j fully researched literally the day before the f-14 dropped. I went from level 15 to 68 in 7 weeks lol I got only the f-4e, the f-5E and the two A7s left to research in the entire American tree.

I know your pain brother lmao. I grinded the naval line from the corsair in like 5-6 days in sim with the A-10,F-5C,AV8 combo and even tho they all gave hella good rp it was gruesome

As soon as they announced it, I grinded from rank 3 to 7 with the F-5C. Then for like a week I had the F-4J, and was just grinding SL with it.
Weakness disgusts me.
-Grinded Tomcat by groundpounding with phantoms then bancrupted so had to play tanks in order to afford it
I luckily had the entire tech tree researched way before the f14 was announced, I grinded the f4c when that was announced and got the f4e when it came out later. I currently have ~1800 battles on the f4e and that's the reason I have the US tech tree done
I respect the grind
The only problem I had was never buying the planes, I bought every tree except for naval, so I just paid my debt and got the f14 today
My personal tactics is using a-10 (preferably early version) with premium account, use 6x 2000 pound of bomb, play simulator (play either Denmark or Zhengzhou), and 3 hours of long continues bombing (no landing just take off), 35 bombed base(or 26 base) will get you around 210k RP and 400k silver lions
This brings the phrase “So close yet so far” to the very top

Already unlocked it after what felt like years in the F-5C stopped to grind out the F-4J and switch to it and finally got F-14 maxed it out then spent another couple months getting the best helicopter in game just for them to add the premium version that’s damn near identical

ProTip: every missile is all-aspect if you're brave enough.
Can confirm the pro tip. I use IR missiles against spawn campers, and they work just fine. The annoying part is just avoiding the SAMs.
i only had to grind from the f3h onwards luckily. Just got the tomcat today.

Thank goodness I put faith in the naval air tech tree line. By the time the F14 came out I only had to grind the F8E, F4J, and F14. It was still painful though because i had no premium and the A5 and F5C spam was outrageous.
Man got same problem, i research wrong tech tree and must go from 5.7 BR to F14 :D For my luck iam at F8U-2, i wish GL you. Keep grinding

I wish i was as good with main guns as you, i've been relying on AV-8A's Aim-9Gs for the few kills i get
Don’t know why I didn’t think of it but it makes sense now that I’ve seen so many f5c’s flying around
F-5C is the best premium plane in the game full stop. The grind takes a bit, but actually playing that monster isn't hard at all. And once you get the F-14 spaded you've got the best plane in the game full-stop.

My friend was off school for over 3weeks when the tomcat came out and it turns out he spent those days grinding for the tomcat, I went to his house the other month to play it and it dominates, I want to have it myself but I don’t want to be the top dog all the time.

bombing a base with the 18 250lb bombs and then getting 2-4 kills usually gets be about 30k rp (just a recommendation if you want to switch things up a bit so the grind isnt as painful)

I played WT from the very beginning until 2017 got a Meteor on the UK tree and quit. That was my goal, a jet. Got a Tiger 1 along the way, that was neat.
Now I'm 1 year into the prem grind on Enlisted by Gijin. Fucking love it. Maxed USA, and German Normandy, now on Moscow.
The grind for the f14 was ez and fun for me

I grinded out half the American tech tree from rank 2 planes on all 3 middle lines to the F-14 in just 4-5 days with the F-5C I am not going to say it was worth the grind but I will say that when the F-15 arrives
Even though the F-5C is great, I chose the AV-8A and its been great. It performs phenomenally as a support fighter.
Remember, fun is temporary. Grind….IS ETERNAL

I bought the F-5c a month ago. After about 60 hours worth of grinding with the F-5c spread throughout the last month I managed to get the F-14 on the first of July. I started at the F4U because like you I had neglected the naval tech tree. "Get the F-4e" they said "it is a better dogfighter and has agile eagle" they said. Although I don't regret grinding the Air force tech tree I should have at least gotten the tier IV planes in the naval tree. It was a great journey but I am a bit disappointed in the F-14. The stock grind is hell and I don't think I have the mental strength to get it spaded. Those radar missiles are the bane of my existence. I really love the F-5c now. I can get a few kills on a good game and manage at least one most of the time. It has really helped me learn air to air combat in high tier jets. Looking forward to getting the two F-104s but I need a break from War Thunder. Shame I'd lose about 2-3 days of premium account. I love your videos! Keep up the good work and keep grinding! It is mostly worth it xd.

i just put a talisman on an f4c and dropped bombs on bases for probably 100 games, at the least 8k RP per game and you can just get killed in a head on immediately after dropping bombs and still make a hefty profit
went from the f3h to the f14 in less than 24 hours
3 weeks since I started grinding for F14 from my rank 3 planes to finally about to unlock phantom and soon F14 will start, even more pain coz I am using A10 Early. Hopefully today I'll unlock the phantom

I noticed you used overleveled vehicles for underleveled ones. On the bottom of every vehicle there is a note ish thing that tells you what ranks that vehicle can research.the way you so it handy caps the amount of rp you get.just for future reference
There’s a system where if your using a higher/lower vehicle for a vehicle of a different class you’re research points get a certain precent cut
