Great job and great video, thank you for sharing. I’m slowly learning about all of this and have a few questions about things I didn’t see you mention in your video. Downstreaming and a proportioned, what are those exactly and you don’t use them? Also why do you need that separate 12v pump for roof cleaning?
Ive been using the same garden liberty hose reel you have for softwashing and after 2 years its just rusting. I'm actually only going to upgrade now because I currently fit 200 on that reel and I'm going to go to 300. Other than that, that liberty did justice considering its cheap as hell. good set-up you got though.
Thank you! Honestly, if you can't afford to pay cash for at least t a 4gpm unit, I would suggest financing one or get a credit card. You'll make the money back faster than you think. I wish I would have bought an 8gpm starting out.
Hi, Are you going to get a 6 x 10 enclosed trailer or open trailer? On your 24 inch surface cleaner is it a 3 or 2 tip bar spinner? What size nozzle tips do you have on the surface cleaner when running your 4000 psi @ 4.0 gpm pressure washer? I do like the square tanks. Thanks for the video
I'm going with an open trailer. Enclosed trailers are nice but expensive. Also, I'm 6'1". Any enclosed trailer thats tall enough for me to stand up inside won't fit in my garage at home. I don't want to pay storage fees. My surface cleaner has 2 bars with one nozzle on each bar. The tips are 25020. The surface cleaner is really too big for my p.washer, but my uncle gave it to me for free, so I make it work. I plan to get an 8gpm hot water machine in the future. Thanks for watching!
I love the idea of a blend manifold, but don't want to deal with with all the cracks, air leaks, etc. I'd be REALLY ticked if I spent $500+ on it and it broke or leaked.
I’m trying to figure out what pump I should be getting? I’m just going to be batch mixing In a 65 gallon tank and applying my chemical and then probably rinsing with chemical tips on my pressure washer. Or ball valve. I wish I had a list of the little parts I’m going to need for the plumbing.
What’s up Big Man?! I’m late catching up on videos but I’m starting up in the spring up here in the North east, NJ. My question is do you buy ur bleach in bulk, if so where from ? Obviously I can get by the case of 4 at Home Depot etc etc but what’s your recommendation for buying SH???
Definitely bulk. Home depot sells 10%. Bulk is usually 12.5%. I buy 40-70 gallons at a time. Start calling your local chemical suppliers. Someone will point you in the right direction. Thanks for watching! I have another channel called clean industries pressure washing. I'm only gonna post pressure washing stuff on that channel from now on if you want to sub
Mount that water filter so the bowls at the bottom. It isn't doing shit laying on the deck. Bypass the gun on the surface cleaner, just use the ball valve. You'll get a better flow. All the best.
I’m thinking about buying that Polly hose that you have instead of the orange or yellow hose that everyone else uses, have you found that the poly hose works just fine. I’m asking because there’s like $130 price difference when you’re looking at 300 feet of hose.
Braided poly is fine. Been using it over a yr and no problems. I wouldn't run 300 ft. Most I'd run is 200- 250'. Keep an extra 50-100' and connectors on the truck.
Great video man! Do you have any advice on ratios for house washing? I'm just now starting up my business and that's the ratio I'm having the most trouble with right now. Thanks!
@@skillz1179 ok. That's how I started, too. So a basic housewash mix is about 1 to 1.5% strength. If you are using 10% strength sh, then you would add 1 gallon of sh to every 9 gallons of water. You can mix it stronger if needed. Also add a few ounces of surfactant. Just keep in mind that for every 100 gallons of batch mix you make, 10 gallons of it needs to be sh. When you start using 12.5%, you use even less sh. Keep in mind that some algae will require a much stronger mix.
I was running a 24" because my uncle gave it to me for free. I had to walk slow, but it worked well. If you're going to buy one for a 4gpm, I'd go 20" or smaller. The rule of thumb is 4" per gpm.
Looks like you are your way. Once things get back to normal folks will start calling in a whole lot more. Mortgage rates are really low and summer is when people sell homes , hopefully a new market will open up as well. Best of luck.
Are you not down streaming at all? Or do you apply all your chemical with your titan reel? I’m wondering because I just returned a Cox reel I was going use as my 3/8 reel. But without a stainless manifold I’d be screwed right? I’m trying to find two of the same titans you have.
At the time the video was made, I hadn't ever downstreamed. I wouldn't recommend using a hose reel for pressure. I ds frequently now and I just pull off what hose I need and connect it straight to the pw. Having hose rolled up on your reel then pressurizing it can damage both the Jose's and the reel. Most titans are on a long back order right now. I'd look into hannay. I think sprayer depot carries them. Also try washmart.com.
I’m not far from you. Just out 290 in Cypress. Currently unemployed and looking to get into this. Make some money even if I don’t stick with it. I have a small 2.5 gpm washer, 15” surface washer , truck and trailer. Think I’ll start with flat work and build up to a soft wash. Any tips you can give me would be great. Still trying to figure out quoting.
Honestly, for flatwork, you are wasting your time with anything under 4gpm. I run a 4gpm currently and will be upgrading to 8gpm as soon as I can afford to. I did my first 2 driveways with a 2.5gpm and they took me 3hrs each. I immediately purchased a 4gpm from Northern tool for $700. Now, 4 car driveways take about 45 mins
@@doitallgaragetx well, it’s what I have at the moment. I was hoping to get a driveway or two. That would help find a better machine. What 4gpm system would you recommend?
I am very new and thinking about starting my own business too.. what permit would you need? I'm in Florida if you or anyone else knows would be greatly appreciated?

Question. I have an ever flow 5.5 using a 1/2 hose (75 feet), 3/4 suction about 3 feet long. and it's popping fuses like crazy. I haven't even tried adding the rest of the hose. What am I doing wrong?
@@charlestuozzo4747 my 5.5 calls for a group 24 battery, which is smaller than most truck batteries. Walmart $48. Been using it 2yrs, no issues, no blown fuses

You want a dn10 ball valve. I believe suttner makes them. Any pressure washing supply store has them. You could order one from WashMart.com. Fast shipping
Great video! I'm just starting out down here in central Texas! Quick question. People keep saying stuff about the Clean Water Act and water reclamation. Do you think they're just trying to scare me off the hustle?
The environmental protection agency is mostly in charge of that. Technically, if you clean areas like gas stations, yes you're supposed to reclaim the water because it has gas and oil in it. But I have never seen anyone actually reclaiming unless they are inside of a warehouse where there are no drains in the floors.
It ran it fine with the correct tips, but was kinda slow. I used the 24" because my uncle gave it to me. He used to do p.washing years ago and no longer used it. I was on a tight budget at the time and couldn't afford a new one. I now have two 8gpm machines. I started putting most of my pressure washing videos on my other channel, clean industries pressure washing. Check it out if you like....
@@doitallgaragetx that’s great my it’s the same way 5x8 it’s no much space when you add a 275 gallon water tank..question..your pump from north start for the soft wash must be a special bleach pump? Because looks like you have a non bleach one?
@@clintonr7172 I felt the same way when I started in June of 19. Look at it like planting seeds. When you plant seeds, it takes a while for the plants to start bearing fruit. Each job you do is a seed (customer). Those customers call you back about every 1-2 yrs. They also give your info out to family & friends. Now the branches are spreading out and more fruit is growing. It may take a while. It's not a get rich quick scheme. But if you stick with it, the fruit will come.
@@spacecoastbonsai1421 the 5.5gpms and 7gpms come with 1/2" female npt ports. You'll need Half inch hose barbs with half in npt threads.
Was your titan reel 275 on that pressure washer product site? I’m looking to buy the same exact one.
Can you link some of the Amazon products like the filters you got? I bought the same garden hose reel off Amazon. Think spray paint will take on it?
Keep grinding brother and I hope all is going well.
Sure is, man! Thanks!
Can you leave a link to the poly braided hose? Preferably on Amazon or homdepot. I can't seem to find it
What’s up Big Man?!
All on my to do list. Stay tuned. My new trailer build is coming soon. Wash on bro!
Where did you buy your braided hose? I can’t find 1/2” 200 ft braided hose at Lowe’s or Home Depot
Right under your oil drain you have square cut out of the frame. Cut the top out of a power aid bottle and stick it in that hole..
Great video. Thanks
Thank you for watching!
Also when you’re doing roof jobs or just plain house cleaning would you rather have a 100 gallon tank or does a 50 gallon work just fine?
50 gallon tank has gotten me by. I'd like to upgrade to 100 gallon bleach tank, but don't have the room on my trailer
Great video man! Do you have any advice on ratios for house washing? I'm just now starting up my business and that's the ratio I'm having the most trouble with right now. Thanks!
Thanks.
Are you batch mixing?
@@doitallgaragetx Yes sir, using 1 gal bottles of 10% SH chlorinating liquid right now.
@@doitallgaragetx ok thanks! I really appreciate the help!
Man great video, you did a great job.
good job man, keep on keeping on
Thanks, dude!
Nice rig bro .. i love how simple and effective this set up is...money maker.. trailers are never big enough alwasy need more room lol
Thank you! Sorry for the late reply. New trailer build coming soon.
Great vid! How did you mount your reels on your trailer?
Thanks! I cot and welded some flat bar and drilled holes for bolts.
A 4000psi 4gpm is able to run that 24inch surface cleaner? That seems way to big for that machine.
It worked, but slowly. I used that sc because my uncle gave it to me. I've since upgraded to two 8gpm's
I am looking for tanks like you have. Could you direct me to a affordable source for them?
Got mine at bailiff enterprises in willis tx. They had cosmetic flaws so I got them for $80/each
Very well explained my brother.god bless you.
Question. What size surface cleaner are you using with that 4 gpm.
I'm new in this but want to buy one.
Thanks, dude!
@@darrendeblance6235 powerhorse from Northern tool. Its the best quality and warranty in its price range
I am very new and thinking about starting my own business too.. what permit would you need? I'm in Florida if you or anyone else knows would be greatly appreciated?
I'm in Texas. No special permits here. I'm pretty sure Florida is the same. I'd join pressure washing friends on fb. Lots of Florida ppl on there. Thanks for watching!
Hey Man. Nice video, what brand and model of reel and hoses are those?
Thanks. Its a titan hose reel
Ok and what about the hoses?
@@scorp1onsurface ebay or Amazon. Can't remember
How do you get your name out there? What tactics do you use to get customers?
Word of mouth, mostly. Facebook & Next door helps too.
@@doitallgaragetx thanks bud
Thanks for your video hiw much was your soft wash hose cost i have 4gpm pump just like but smaller volume i plan in pumping threw 200ft garden hose cause that's what i have on hand do you think my pump will push be ok for it
It was about $125. I got it on ebay or Amazon. A 4 gpm pump should push it fine, you just won't get as much distance or volume as a 5-7 gpm pump
@@doitallgaragetx can it shoot uo 2 stories tho

Question. I have an ever flow 5.5 using a 1/2 hose (75 feet), 3/4 suction about 3 feet long. and it's popping fuses like crazy. I haven't even tried adding the rest of the hose. What am I doing wrong?
You may have too large of a battery, too large or too small 9f cables. I'd consult an automobile mechanic who is familiar with 12v DC.
@@doitallgaragetx really got it on a truck battery. I’ll switch them in the morning and give it a try. Thank you
@@charlestuozzo4747 my 5.5 calls for a group 24 battery, which is smaller than most truck batteries. Walmart $48. Been using it 2yrs, no issues, no blown fuses
@@doitallgaragetx thank you I’ll change it out first thing in the morning. I’d say that’s the problem
3 years later are you still doing it?
Yep! I started a pressure washing channel under my business name: clean industries pressure washing. I felt like do it all garage was turning into a pressure washing channel. Check it out if you like!
Thanks alot sir…. Really appreciated✌🏻✌🏻.
Hey man thanks for the detail. Great video. So how did you land your first job? (Not counting friends and family)
I put an ad out on my neighborhood Facebook page and got two driveway jobs immediately.
How does that surface cleaner work with your 4 gpm ? Heard rule of thumb is 4 inches per Gpm.
On the slow side, but works fine
Can u put a link for the ball valve pls
You want a dn10 ball valve. I believe suttner makes them. Any pressure washing supply store has them. You could order one from WashMart.com. Fast shipping
Great video! I'm just starting out down here in central Texas! Quick question. People keep saying stuff about the Clean Water Act and water reclamation. Do you think they're just trying to scare me off the hustle?
Hey Beards, I am also in central texas and trying to start up a PW business. Maybe we can talk.
The environmental protection agency is mostly in charge of that. Technically, if you clean areas like gas stations, yes you're supposed to reclaim the water because it has gas and oil in it. But I have never seen anyone actually reclaiming unless they are inside of a warehouse where there are no drains in the floors.
@@doitallgaragetx Thanks! Thats what I was thinking too. Here in Texas anyway lol. I'm sure Cali has a whole Taskforce for that hahaha
does the 4 gpm pressure washer run the 24 inch surface cleaner well? I heard that you shouldnt go past 20 inches for a 4 gpm, so I am curious.
Without the hose reel, the setup and put away took longer than my house wash.

@@doitallgaragetx that’s great my it’s the same way 5x8 it’s no much space when you add a 275 gallon water tank..question..your pump from north start for the soft wash must be a special bleach pump? Because looks like you have a non bleach one?
@@javierojeda. bleach or no bleach. They all break/stop working. I just installed my 3rd pump about an hr ago.
24inch surface cleaner on a 15 lpm machine. I’m guessing you’ve re-jetted it to account for the lower flow rate?
I did. Upgraded since.....
Do you need a pressure washing Licence and Insurance start?
No license in Texas, but insurance is must
Could you tell me how you mounted the reels to the trailer rail?
I welded some flat bar to the rails. Drilled holes and bolted them on. Stay tuned, new trailer build coming soon
Good video 👍
What do you use on blue aluminum siding that is oxidized ?
A good degreaser, possible scrubbing with a soft brush.
Can I use the plastic 1/2 fittings for my filter going to my pump?
Yes, just don't screw anything plastic into your pump
In your video, the filter before pump. Isn't the arrow supposed to indicate flow direction??? Think yours is reversed?
Which one?
What is the gutter cleaning tool called?
Just search "gutter cleaning tool" on amazon or ebay. You'll find it
Man I got my pressure washer an a new hose but it am affraid to start.😔

@@clintonr7172 I felt the same way when I started in June of 19. Look at it like planting seeds. When you plant seeds, it takes a while for the plants to start bearing fruit. Each job you do is a seed (customer). Those customers call you back about every 1-2 yrs. They also give your info out to family & friends. Now the branches are spreading out and more fruit is growing. It may take a while. It's not a get rich quick scheme. But if you stick with it, the fruit will come.
