The Starlings was one of a few names used by a group of very prolific session singers including Ray Pilgrim and Mike Redway, I believe the singer on this one is Jean Campbell? They recorded some pretty decent covers of popular songs in the 50s and early 60s for Woolworths on this Embassy label
I think this label , Embassy , specialized in featuring undistinguished artist's cover versions of the big hits . Surprisingly , some are as good or even better than the originals .
Very good Cover Song! 👍😎🎸
Another jolly Embassy cover band. I like it very much.
I’ve heard the original version by The Crystals, but this one is new to me, even for an oldie!

Campbell’s obviously the lead singer on this recording.
@@CWLrecordsSome of their covers were quite decent but I never bought one.

I agree!
I like the crystals version better, but this is alright.
I love the original better and the Beach Boys ! 🤫
Not bad for a budget Woolworths cover though right?
