Ce groupe est génial ! Super son français et très bruyant.
Oui, c'est... rhythmique! Merci beaucoup pour ecouter!
Great highlife. Ghana and Nigeria had great chemistry when it comes to highlife music back in the days.
Holiday in majorcia 1984 boomed out of every bar and cafe drove me insane by the end of the fortnight.
Haha
thanks for the reply!!!!
This is hot❤❤❤❤❤
Wonderful, where could I find a disc of this and what machines can play it? Sorry for my inquiries
@@BaoBao0923 Hi sorry I have been inactive for a while, I got mine from a house clearance shop but the easiest ways to get them is probably Facebook marketplace or ebay local collection. To play these you'd need either an acoustic gramophone from the period or a record player with a 78rpm speed and a 3 mille stylus, like this one
Alright, thanks for coming by with the response! Well appreciated
Nice vintage equip.!
This sounds so much like Van Morrison's Moondance.
Grazie per rendere disponibili questi bellissimi brani.
Like the man say: It's got a good beat and you can dance to it.
I love having a Frankie Vaughan even though mines been decommissioned 😢❤
I’ve been looking for this for 60 years.I love it
I ran this title through the translator and it comes out 'Mama (She) Will Forgive Me.' Based on the sound and the time period, I think this is a girl about to have a fling with a man her mother wouldn't approve of. It almost sounds like Classic Country.
It's well-known that this song was composed by Hawaii's Queen Lili'oukalani (1878), but she's not credited on the label. How long does it take for a song to be credited to 'traditional?'
I'm not sure exactly, around half of the versions of this song in particular credit Liliʻuokalani, and half don't- in which case the arranger probably gets all the credit
Pretty, relaxing cafe tune, with the elevator-style piano accompaniment.
Can't see the stylus on this record
It's in there somewhere
Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini - Rachmaninoff
why are there two santas...(anyways I find th3 mucis so cool)
the*
This was written by Teddie Palmer (singer) and Bob Wilson (Keyboards) as an entry for the Eurovision Song contest!
Two bananas in love?!? Oh my... but this is an old one after all
Why does the bandleader's name make me feel uncomfortable? Don't answer that.
Frankie, baby..Paulie saw ya' with his main squeeze, Delores..Paulie, ya'kno' wha' tha' means..ya' ain't dancin' no mo'..enjoy them crutches..hehe
❤❤❤❤❤
Polka really is happy music, but it should require a tuba, by law.
If there are no accordions there will be no accord
Tubas don't have to just cover the bass part; in ensembles like this, they can add their deep richness to a horn line that other instruments - like bass trombone or bari sax - can't reproduce. And the fact that I played tuba is absolutely coincidental to my views on the subject.
I love this tune in billions of ways and it is awesome.
The Floyd-Cramer-Style piano is an interesting touch.
like a schmalzy AOR slapp happy ahaha
Neferterria
That's an unusual sound, for a Canadian orchestra.
To be honest I'm not sure what Canadian orchestras typically sound like
@@CWLrecords Me either. Was joke.
Yeah, it has a vocal distortion from the 20’s or 30’s reminiscent to a song 🎵 that came out in 1967. Winchester Cathedral in that song 🎶 one part of it had a distorted voice. Singers and songwriters do what they have to do so a song 🎶 won’t sound soo plain. It’s a great song and…Thanks for sharing it.
@@joegongora2200 That's a great song too, I have at least one copy in my collection, vo de o do!
Great 👍 indeed…Porque es muy buena Rola!!!

Sounds like every 70s/80s TV movie score.
@@bwilliams463 Pretty much
I'm sure I've heard the melody before, but not necessarily the laughter with it. I suppose my dim memory is of the original 'Happy Blues' by Gene Ammons, but I can't imagine where or when I could have heard it. I wonder if the melody was ever sampled for a TV commercial or possibly played in a movie.
@@bwilliams463 This is the backing track of "Two Bananas In Love" which I uploaded yesterday. The flipside of the 1968 original was also the same backing track, but with humming instead of laughing. It was originally called "The theme from Two Bananas in Love"
The vocal distortion is a real throwback to the 1920s and 1930s, including the Hawaiian guitar licks. Google found a 1968 release by Brighton Beach Band, but there was no audio or lyrics that I could find.
@@bwilliams463 I think the Brighton Beach version is this same recording released under a different name, just as this is the same recording as the Marty and the Mellow Yellow Bunch original but re-released half a decade later
@@CWLrecords That was kind of what I expected.
I like the Floyd Cramer-style piano.
Harmony is kind of disheveled and off-key in places. Is this a band called Cycles on the Alaska label or a band called Alaska on the Cycles label?
Yeah it's a bit off, I like the song though. Alaska is the label, but I can't find anything at all about the band
naughty...
Pretty faithful cover of Sheb Wooley's 1958 original.
Sounds like a Casio keyboard demo track.
@@bwilliams463 Lol
Interesting that the disc itself has a removable center to allow for play on large-drive players. We had a set of centers that could be clipped into 45s for play on LP-sized players, but they were aftermarket items; I've never seen on that was apparently incorporated into the pressing at the factory, like this one appears to have been.
@@bwilliams463 Hi, the large majority of 45s made in the UK, like this one, had this type of centre from the mid 50s through the late 70s. I think it was so they could be played on consumer players (with the small spindle) without needing an adaptor, but you could easily pop the centre out with your thumbs to use on imported American jukeboxes. I think a few other countries used this arrangement
A common pressing method in u.k. was to include a 3 or 4 pronged centre. This could be broken out to enable use in USA e.t.c. Singles with this removed also sell for less.
Slight "Purple Haze" vibe at the intro. Sounds like they were having a good old time. Sounds like they were stoned at a hippie jamboree. A special one indeed Ty, CWL Record Show
Des' voice and singing style had a sort of Dean Martin quality about it.
nice
This is a Super Killer Tune 🎶 Cos they ,”Knocked It Out Of The Ballpark.” It happens to be a great little tune.
I have always enjoyed these 'Dixieland Revival' numbers; they showed up in a lot of movie soundtracks of the time, usually comedies. This one got the Broadway treatment with all the backing music. One of my favorites from the genre is Dallas Frazier's 'Big Mable Murphy.'
That's a new one to me, I like the instrumentation!
I love the original better and the Beach Boys ! 🤫
Not bad for a budget Woolworths cover though right?
I couldn't understand most of the lyrics.
Neither lol
Got me stumped. I looked up all the covers on Wiki, but none matched.
To be honest I couldn't find much about it myself
