On the other hand, wasn't crazy about Lex's sarcastic chess joke - c'mon man, Lex would never even joke that his intellect wasn't the most useful superpower of all. You know, we all had a year to ask this about Cryer's Lex, and about 8 years or so to ask this about Arrowverse, but how the fuck are the CW shows kicking the DC movies asses? As far as I’m concerned, that last assessment is a given. In the long run, Lex Luther is not one to be ever trusted. He’ll help, but only out of a sense of self-preservation or if he gets something out of the deal.
Gene Hackman, John Shea, Clancy Brown, Michael Rosenbaum... Jon Cryer is no doubt right up there with them as one of the greatest actors to ever portray Lex Luthor. He is just absolutely perfect in the role and embodies everything that makes Lex so appealing. He was pure gold in Supergirl Season 4 and I’m so glad he’s back for Crisis on Infinite Earths.
uncanny dcmarvelous in my opinion, Jon Cryer and the creative team did just that. There’s such irony in that Superman: The Quest For Peace was one of the worst films ever made, yet the Season 4 finale (also titled The Quest For Peace) was absolutely excellent. As was Season 4 overall.

He can see the machinations of the universe but he sees himself as the center. That's why superman has always beat him. The Batman who laughs sees these flaws in Lex Luthor. He's ego is his greatest weakness.

"I've always been the hero." Hands down, Jon Cryer is simply the best live action Lex Luthor we've ever seen in either movies and television. It is a crime he wasn't in more of Supergirl last season and I can't wait to see what he has in store for the upcoming Crisis.
Fun fact: Flash dies in Crisis Comics to as well as Kingdom Come Supes and plenty more, unfortunately they may change a few things To adapt to the CW universe.
Watch Supergirl. Half of season 1 is great. Season 2 is not very good after the first 6 or so episodes. Season 3 is incredible. Season 4 is fucking incredible. And season 5, so far, is freaking incredible.
And watch Batwoman. The season started out between meh and bad, but after the first 3 episodes it just keeps getting better and better. Especially tonight's episode. GOLD!!!!
TJUC123 Season 2 is where I bailed on Supergirl. I tried this season but I was lost and didn’t know what was going on. I just found out the Two and a Half Men guy (Jon Cryer) is Lex Luther and that seems awesome so I might have to watch last season on Netflix during the winter break
I believe they will. They used it on Batwoman and Supergirl. If the pattern repeats (and it will), it’ll likely repeat on The Flash (obviously), and Arrow, with a possibility of the scene popping up on Black Lightning, but noting they’re not actually contributing an episode to the crossover - only BL himself - I’d say it’s less likely but still possible.
I believe he will. The Monitor wanted to test him with this challenge, and he passed. This challenge was a crucible, and it forced J’Onn into what the Monitor needs. Whatever that will be.
She is one of the main trinity of the Arrowverse shows... Arrow, Flash, and Her participated in Elseworlds and stopped a major event... she would know at least something.
So, I'm just watching some clips because the whole Jon Cryer is Lex Luthor thing I just found out is throwing me off so I had to know if he is any good at the role. Remember when we were told Jesse Eisenberg would be a good Lex and not judge him on his previous roles, but he turned out crap at the part? I applied the same restraint for Cryer and...well, not everyone can do a part good. But some can. So far, he seems good at the role. That line, "Ive always been the hero" is Lex Luthor summarizing the entire mentality of his character in one line. Perhaps, I judged these shows too harshly. You turned two bit part Glee actors into two iconic superheroes, and turned Alan Harper into the most brilliant and cruel mind on the planet and I believe him as such. Great work.
"When I saw you fight in elseworlds.." bruh, he protected a bunch of civilians from fire. FIRE. And it seems like that the fire has no impact to him. Plus, I don't recall the Martian fighting anything.
If Mar Novu needed Luthor’s smarts, why not restore Clifford Devoe’s consciousness? I know Ralph took back his body but someone as powerful as Novu can revive Clifford, the dark matter makes him infinitely smarter than Lex. And if Clifford wants to take over the world again, Novu could kill him again after using him since he is so strong. And Clifford would obey the monitor because what’s good about ruling the world if there wasn’t even a world to rule? He would want to save the multiverse if he wants to turn evil again.
Who else is excited to see Tyler Hoechlin and Jon Cryer square off in Crisis? Hell Lex will be annoyed to see more Supermen than just his Earth’s

Hands down, Jon Cryer is simply the best live action Lex Luthor we've ever seen in either movies and television. It is a crime he wasn't in more of Supergirl last season and I can't wait to see what he has in store for the upcoming Crisis.

Watch Supergirl. Half of season 1 is great. Season 2 is not very good after the first 6 or so episodes. Season 3 is incredible. Season 4 is fucking incredible. And season 5, so far, is freaking incredible.
I haven't liked Legends very much recently, but I still watch because I care about it and it's also unpredictable when it's going to be good or bad.
And watch Batwoman. The season started out between meh and bad, but after the first 3 episodes it just keeps getting better and better. Especially tonight's episode. GOLD!!!!
TJUC123 Season 2 is where I bailed on Supergirl. I tried this season but I was lost and didn’t know what was going on. I just found out the Two and a Half Men guy (Jon Cryer) is Lex Luther and that seems awesome so I might have to watch last season on Netflix during the winter break

I believe they will. They used it on Batwoman and Supergirl. If the pattern repeats (and it will), it’ll likely repeat on The Flash (obviously), and Arrow, with a possibility of the scene popping up on Black Lightning, but noting they’re not actually contributing an episode to the crossover - only BL himself - I’d say it’s less likely but still possible.

So, I'm just watching some clips because the whole Jon Cryer is Lex Luthor thing I just found out is throwing me off so I had to know if he is any good at the role.
Remember when we were told Jesse Eisenberg would be a good Lex and not judge him on his previous roles, but he turned out crap at the part?
I applied the same restraint for Cryer and...well, not everyone can do a part good. But some can.
So far, he seems good at the role. That line, "Ive always been the hero" is Lex Luthor summarizing the entire mentality of his character in one line. Perhaps, I judged these shows too harshly.
You turned two bit part Glee actors into two iconic superheroes, and turned Alan Harper into the most brilliant and cruel mind on the planet and I believe him as such. Great work.
"When I saw you fight in elseworlds.." bruh, he protected a bunch of civilians from fire. FIRE. And it seems like that the fire has no impact to him. Plus, I don't recall the Martian fighting anything.
Fighting saving people is the same thing. When you're a hero you're fighting lol.

If Mar Novu needed Luthor’s smarts, why not restore Clifford Devoe’s consciousness? I know Ralph took back his body but someone as powerful as Novu can revive Clifford, the dark matter makes him infinitely smarter than Lex.
And if Clifford wants to take over the world again, Novu could kill him again after using him since he is so strong. And Clifford would obey the monitor because what’s good about ruling the world if there wasn’t even a world to rule? He would want to save the multiverse if he wants to turn evil again.
