I love listening to you guy’s especially when you’re talking Amg’s as my dad and I both drive c32 Amgs. His is the stock 350hp six but with a supercharger pulley and tune mines around 400hp. Amazing cars. I absolutely love them. You mentioned Amg’s contribution to the muscle cars. It’s my understanding that the charger and challenger use the chassis from a Mercedes e class and the development of the 1:01:34 cars from the mid 2000’s were made in conjunction with amg. 1:01:34
Polestar was a volvo model before they branched off to become its own company, the same way a genesis was a hyundai model, then they split it off into its own company
@@sv_cheats1970 but they didn't ever modify Mercs though right? I couldn't find any, only "what if" renders. I thought BMW bought Alpina ages ago, but it was only in 2022!
@@cheharrison7107 Alpina was BMW and just BMW unlike AMG...fun fact there were AMG tuned Mitsubishi Galants in the 80s and early 90s (Bodykit, wood kit, perfomance upgrades etc.) There was an AMG Version of the EG Civic sedan in South Africa, why you ask? Because they needed something cheaper to sell then the entry level 190E and the locally assembled Civic was the perfect candidate!
@@cheharrison7107 from what I remember reading the Civics would be badged in either 170i or 180i versions, they had leather interiors and an enhanced engine.
Because it’s easy to see and so you can adjust your seat before getting into the vehicle without suffering the indignity of having to bend over to reach the seat controls. Substance over style, that’s what it used to be to buy a Mercedes, substance WAS their style, now it’s just gaudy bullshit for rich people.
@griffins750 I guess if you have that much trouble getting in that can be helpful. I figured only large ppl had trouble getting in sports cars, so the indignity was expected...

Wasn't Alpina just BMW? One of the others for Mercedes was Koenig, they were crazy looking.

Something about the seat position controls in MB's just disgusts me. Like why does that need to be on the door... It's so ugly.
