- From the Sahara Desert we ride north along the Draa Valley, home to the biggest palm plantation on the planet. We arrive at Nkob, which is situated on the outskirts of the mighty Jebel Saghro mountain range. A unique and foreboding landscape that has an apocalyptic feel to it. We attempt a bit of an uncertain off road route. The going is tough and incredibly satisfying at the same time. We are in this area during Ramadan and we get invited by a wonderful family out in the middle of nowhere!

I have been over these mountains, but on the asphalted road from Boulmine Dadès over the top and down to N'Kob.
In July 2021 it had turned less hot from the Atlantic, and the climb up to the top was essentially no different from a similar 1000m climb in the Alps.
But as I discovered, the fresher Atlantic air had not reached the southern side, and the final kilometres in mid-afternoon down the hill to N'Kob were so hot it was actually impossible to ride at anything but reduced speed, so burning was the air on exposed skin.
It sounds like you quite the challenge 💪🏼

No real preferred method! A combination of all kinds of options: hotels on the map app, try a few in a busier town, booking, luck...

Thank you very much for showing me this part of the world.
I liked it very well. I have often written that your videos are something very special.
I've seen all your videos, a long journey. You'll definitely have the right feeling when it's time to end the trip. For me as a viewer it would be a shame. But I also understand that it is always a certain feat to travel through such areas by bike, to camp wildly, not to have friends and family with you and it is also a bit dangerous. At some point a lot of things repeat themselves, because there are plants, water, earth. Sometimes flat, sometimes piled up. That's why I can imagine that some of the landscapes that totally delighted you in the first year are now almost cool. That's life.
And there aren't always such superlatives as in this video, otherwise it wouldn't be one.
